  1. Guthix coif is under 100k, so you can use one of those with black d'hide top and bottom. Barrows gloves > black d'hide vambs for hands. Ranger boots > snakeskin boots for feet. Fury > glory for neck. Rune c'bow and broad bolts for your weapon. Unholy book > book of balance for the shield.
  2. Harmony Island can be reached by speaking with Brother Tranquillity on Mos Le'Harmless.
  3. Ghostly Warriors are good cash and experience if you've done Haunted Mine and Spirit of Summer. Even better cash and experience if you've also done the Tarn's Lair miniquest. slightly more cash if you've also done Summer's End. They have 44 hp and a max hit of only 5, and since they're undead you can use a salve ammy for a 15-20% boost to your attack and strength. They're a nice choice for training, especially for mid-level players, although I prefer armoured zombies for those with 70 prayer for piety. There's a guide to ghostly warriors in the guides section of the forums.
  4. You could try p'apple pizza, buying plain pizza and p'apple rings for min and selling p'apple pizza for max. But that would only work if you had enough capital to buy the ingredients in bulk, and enough patience to wait for the Grand Exchange to process your offers. (Oh, and you'd need a little more cooking.)
  5. The Lumbridge jobs are pretty bad for money. Have you tried mining clay? I hear that's decent.
  6. Yeah, 50k isn't against the rules at all. You can even trade 50k within the trade limit if you have ~220 quest points. It's only considered real-world trading if you receive something outside the game in exchange for the money. Gifts are okay, just don't be too extravagant--dying in full Saradomin for him in f2p Bounty Hunter would be suspicious.
  7. My favorite spot is the Grand Tree, but I would recommend cutting eucs instead. They're better woodcutting experience and more profit. Just sell the eucalyptus logs and use the money to buy unstrung yew longbows. If you're dead set on DIY'ing everything, including picking and spinning the flax, then the best place is actually different. You'd chop in the southeastern part of the Grand Tree by the spinning wheels. Pick the flax as you cut, spin it right there at the spinning wheels, bring a knife, and fletch and alch right there on the spot. You can cut down on banking time by doing it all at once and go quicker than if you did em separately. I still recommend going with the eucs though.
  8. 99 woodcutting here. The best money in woodcutting is magic logs. I can consistently average 120 magic logs per hour with a dragon axe. That's about 150-160k gp/hr, about the same or a little less than mining pure essence in Varrock. Yews are worse--I can get 230-250 per hour on average...about 108k gp/hr. Eucalyptus is the best of the three: I get 300 logs per hour on average, which is 115-120k gp/hr, but 49.5k exp/hr. Best combination of profit and xp in the skill. Woodcutting is a mediocre moneymaker at best, as you can see, and I do not recommend it as a primary source of income. You can always make better cash no matter what your stats are.
  9. As most of you probably noticed from the newspost, Stealing Creation is being revised to make the rewards more useful. One part of the announcement caught my attention in particular, and I've highlighted it here: [hide=Image][/hide] Double experience from all the rewards, including the weapons? Right now the combat equipment doesn't degrade over time the way the tools do. If they stay that way, we'd have a scimitar that DOUBLES our combat experience. What kind of rates could we get with that, do you think? Better than a whip? The stats are pretty crummy in comparison (only that of a rune scimitar) but the prospect of 8 xp per 1 point of damage is encouraging. Add some boosts, like a salve ammy (e), maybe a little piety, perhaps some void melee (if you don't need the full set for the bonus xp). It could get crazy. And what of the staff? Double magic experience for casting combat spells? Will it work for noncombat spells? (Probably not.) What about for spells that aren't autocasted? That would make for some pretty insane rates with ice barrage. We'll see, eh? Even the bow might be worth something. There's definitely some major speculaton to be had here. Will the equipment degrade through use after the update? Will you need a full set to get bonus xp? Will your xp really be doubled? Will the new weaponry impact the best ways of training combat? I know I'm intrigued. How 'bout you guys? Discuss.
  10. You should cut eucs. They're better cash and xp than yews. ;) No, I'd rather you not.
  11. That's not any spectacular achievement; it's just a waste of time and money. -.-
  12. Playing this game is something you do because you have nothing better to do.
  13. No, they're even slower money.
  14. Correction: Mining > Hunter > Fishing = Woodcutting ..Well actually, I don't really know how much you can make with hunter. I heard horned graahks and dragon implings are good, though. And I don't really know exactly how fast you can mine runite, but I'm told it's over 300k gp/hr. From personal experience, though, I can tell you that magic logs and sharks are both 150-160k gp/hr at 99. Extremely mediocre and not something I'd recommend as a primary source of income.
  15. You could use summoning potions. They're cheap and they restore the special bar.
  16. We've been here before. You just go to a free world.
  17. ...Or, you could use lootshare for charms, or use summoning scrolls for experience. Ophidian Incubation, Fish Rain, Egg Spawn, Cheese Feast, and Fruitfall scrolls will all give you a profit. :ugeek:
  18. The dragon pickaxe is obviously coming from the Rise of the Red Axe saga. The "Red Axe" is a mining company. Seems like a no-brainer to me. I'm betting the next Grandmaster quest will tie together the Mourner saga and the Myreque saga. Remember the Daeyalt cart that was spotted at the Temple of Light? Mighty suspicious. I don't really care about the dragon kiteshield, because it's just going to suck like the dragon platebody. Dragon warhammer could be good though, if they take their cue from what they've done with the claws and just give it a really pwnage special attack.
  19. Yeah, there's clearly something fishy about the White Knights. First, why did they take control of Falador from King Vallance? Where is King Vallance? Is he even alive? Delruth in Burthorpe says the White Knights ascended to power when King Vallance was ill; the Varrock Museum confirms this in one of its exhibits. King Vallance hasn't been seen in ages--if he's really dead, why are the White Knights covering it up? Sir Amik Varze even answers the king's mail, as seen in Postbag 13. The whole King Vallance issue is the most suspicious evidence against them. That's not all. The White Knights rule over all of Asgarnia. They're supposed to be Saradominists, right? So why are there no prayer altars to Saradomin anywhere in the Kingdom that the White Knights look after? The only two are south of Port Sarim, which is deserted, and the Monastery, which is kept by the monks there and is right next to the Black Knights' Fortress--certainly not under the control of the White Knights! These so-called "White" Knights are clearly not as devout as they seem. Then there's the matter of their "Sir Spicious" names. They're all shameless puns, the most eerie of which is King Vallance, or should I say, "Sir Vallance"...or should I say...Surveillance! Who's watching who? Is the leadership in Falador spying on its own citizens? I shiver at the thought of this intrigue. Furthermore, we have advice from both Juna and Bob the Cat, two very trustworthy and wise beings, that the White Knights are more than what they seem. Something is fishy in Falador.
  20. You drop the offcuts and fish with the roe and caviar. It should be able to get you over 50k fishing exp/hr that way.
  21. You can skip the cream and go straight from milk to butter. Even better, you can skip the milk and go straight from cream to butter.
  22. 99 summoning cannot be achieved at level 3 combat. it can: just go thieving the lockpicks at the goblin city Actually, you get ranged experience for completing Death to the Dorgeshuun.
  23. You can do fine fishing monkfish as soon as you can, at level 62. They'll be better than the alternatives no matter what level you are.
  24. Maybe, but that only matters if you have a low-resolution monitor and you can't keep two windows open at once and still see them both. Woodcutting and fishing can be easy to do without requiring a lot of attention, but they're not at all what I'd call fast. (The line you cross from "poor" to "rich" is a mental one, by the way...it's all relative, so it depends on the personal standard you maintain.) Anyway, you could probably do alright tanning d'hides. That's pretty fast money, or so I'm told.
