Read the guide, if you haven't, wear rune armour and take a couple of prayer potions so you can protect from melee attacks - the rune will help with her range attacks - take several casts of each of your best elemental spells, a melee weapon and if you want a range weapon, too. Drink a magic potion to counteract the negative effects of maging while in rune armour and you should do just fine. Take a few pieces of good food and as always a one click tele out in case things go wrong. Attack with the appropriate weapon for the color of the dag mother.

If this ^ is a fact, then according to my quest journal you can boost every skill requirement for this quest that has a means for doing so.

My understanding is that you can use stat boosts for this. A summer pie would put you at 61 agility. Worth a try, no? I'm sure those who have done this, or failed at it, will chime in soon!

Nice idea with the headband although I only have the low level one. I learned my lesson about one-click teleports, or a lack of one, lol. I will never quest without one.

Try going back into the city through the rocks to the north a bit of her tent. This is the way she sent you in the first time. Then when you go back inside the pyramid you will find the jar in your inventory if you were at a point in the quest where you needed it. I hated that confusing quest, lol. Good luck!

RuneScape Wiki has an interactive potion calculator that interacts with the GE. Here is a link for you http://runescape.wikia.com/wiki/Calculators/Potions. You can also use a Greenman's Ale to pot up a level or two during the quest. That might save you a few gp. :D

I would make strength potions until you can make restore potions and then restores to 25. I think that will be a tiny bit faster.

If you can get the light to go up, then do whatever it is that causes it to go up. (And post back, please! read below) I ran into a similar problem when I needed a light to go down and the guide was completely confusing to me. So I gave up and haven't returned. I think maybe the mirror interface has changed since the guide was written and now the up-down directions do not make sense. Good luck, though! Oh yeah, I forgot. What armour did you use? I am thinking a combination of good range/melee defense and good magic offense might be advisable along with a mage potion and maybe a super defense potion. And thank you both for the heads-up on the maze part. :o

This "courting" can go on for days, if I remember correctly. Keep asking, trying, and giving the items. It will work.

Thank you all for your suggestions and thoughtful answers. I may give it a go if I find myself suddenly flush with money or an abundance of prayer potions to experiment with. Until then, LOL !, I think I will train to a higher defense level, as suggested. On the other hand, I do like a challenge. 8-)

I used to feel exactly this way until the GE came about. Now I do it differently because I have to waste no time buying and selling. But I understand the inclination ;)

I beat Smoking Kills today at just barely 85 combat - ran to do it as soon as I leveled. My combat stats are all just about equal (attack, strength, defense, range and magic being around level 64 or 65 and prayer at 56) with summoning being a pitiful 26. :oops: For those of you who did these two quests within a short time of one another with fairly balanced stats, how would you rate Contact! in terms of difficulty vs. Smoking Kills? I am resisting doing Contact because it seems so difficult based on what other players say about it but I would really like to have access to the bank there for Pyramid Plunder. Definitely not interested in wasting a lot of prayer potions, etc., to attempt a quest I should not bother with until my combat or mage or range level is higher. Thanks in advance for your info and advice!

Lots of allotment seeds and flower seeds, the odd better herb seed like ranarr or snapdragon, a tree seed or two but nothing above maple I think, and a fruit tree seed but nothing better than orange. The better the seed, the fewer you will get. I'm guessing nobody wants to invest in farming to test it :D
