FireCape Setup help
Looking at your latest setup I'd suggest bringing 6-8 ppots (instead of 4) and one range pot to use throughout 360's waves (saving one sip for Jad of course), then the rest sharks. With guthans and EE I can't see you needing to eat any food prior to Jad and as long as you don't miss many prayer switches there you should have more than enough food to take him down. As far as giving up on it goes I'd agree with giving up for now as long as you get it before 93 slayer. I'm not a big fan of the fire cape (but finally got it due to slayer) since other capes are superior and more useful imo.

SGS vs Enhanced Excalibur
I prefer the EE when ranging, but while meleeing the SGS beats it hands down imo. It not only heals more but also adds a little prayer, allowing you to waste prayer so to speak since it'll be recovered anyways.

LGZ v DF - vid w/ speech
Just got home, started reading this topic, realized I'd need a drink, got that and came back, sat down and was kept entertained for several minutes. Wish I could've been there for the war as another member on DF's side could've helped alot. I'll be looking forward to another fight vs you when I'm able to show up. :)

Armadyl Solo
Lately I've been considering going on a few Arma solo trips and was wondering if anybody with experience could suggest an approximate number of kills/trip to expect with my stats (as seen in sig). Also note it'll be 94 range before I attempt this. My setup is as follows: Verac's helm Arma top Arma bottom jester boots (mage def) blessed spirit shield (don't have/want a dfs atm) barrows gloves fury amulet archers ring ruby (e) / diamond (e) And in my inventory / yak: 2 x ranging potions grapple broad bolts (kc) ruby (e) / diamond (e) (one equipped, one in inv) EE unicorn pouch unicorn scrolls 5 ppots rest brews/restores at a 3:1 ratio I'll be using leech def/range & prot range (of course) With those stats and setup, about how many kills can I expect. And is there anything that can be done to significantly improve the trip lengths? Also is the EE worth it to bring (will I last long enough for four EE specials)?

Buy tassets or not?
Well I'm already 99 att/def and only 930k from 99 strength so I kind of want it fast. And thanks I think I'll be sticking with the ss While I'm at it, what's the best fighting familiar to use with 88 summoning? I'd say the swamp titan does the best damage at 88 though I tend to try and use familiars that help train skills that I need leveled., so I'd personally use a lava titan (trains str) even though it is slightly less effective.

How Much GP Made from each Skill?
I'll only comment on the ones I've been able to get a reasonable idea for (at least half the exp), and giving the projected costs for my methods. Combat: -20M Ranged: -50M Slayer: +70M Smithing: 0 Summoning: -80M Although since you will "average them up, and release to the public" I'd like some credit, in addition to a free copy/link to the final document. Hopefully this helped, and thanks in advance.

12-Mar-2010 - Bonus XP Weekend!
Well I lucked out and had an extra 1k swamp lizards above what I calculated I'd need for 95 summoning where I started using iron pl8's. If it wasn't for that extra lizards I'd be stuck with 94 summoning and no way to get 95 and beyond lol. Funny part was that I did that to take into consideration human (my own) error though pouches/h and calculations. Never thought it'd help cover Jagex's errors too :P.

Agility
Definitely wilderness. Revs are just a slight hinderance if you know how to deal with them properly. If you take into consideration that they always go north past the pipe, around the lava obsticle and out of the area to the west, along with the knowledge that when you log out they lose their "lock" on you it makes them easy to get rid of. What I do is wait until they're trapped north of the pipe and log out at the top of the course, south of the pipe. I then wait a few seconds (or even just log right back in) and continue on the course, making sure to keep a fence between you and the rev and preventing the rev from attacking/getting a "lock" on you. The rev will eventually leave the course and you just keep going on like normal, unless others there keep the rev around. Then it might be best to simply hop.

Last Minute XP Weekend Preparations
I've seen/heard a few others doing this, but its definitely not the norm. For me I'm taking advantage of this to get 98+ summoning instead of 93. All I've really done last minute was buy the shards needed, buy a few more yak hides, get some extra lizards off the ge and then get an inventory and log out by an obelisk. Hopefully I can still get a decent amount of pouches/h with a lot of other kyatts floating around.

Team Power Rangers defeats Latin Pride
Was a fun war, expected them to pile me a couple times while I was in the open but they passed me up. 4 kills, 0 deaths. Range unit ftw.

XP Weekend
Thats simple to calculate once we know what the normal exp/h rate of the method you're training at is. The multiplier is down to 1.1x at ten hours, and with knowing the average multiplier from hour 0-10 is 1.69x, all you need to do is multiply the exp/h of the method you use by 10 hours and then by the 1.69x exp multiplier (avg) and you'll get your exp gained. Then its easy to see what level you end at.

More summoning
My apologies, yes I did mean swamp titans (level 85 familiar).

More summoning
I had a little spare time so I quickly made a few spreadsheets with there different options for you. All of these options use a flat rate of 2,000 pouches/hour and take into consideration a 10 minute tree run prior to starting summoning. These all also neglect green charms until they can be used to make unicorns. The first option is how you've stated in you're quote, making barker toads and switching to granite lobsters when you can. According to my calculations you'll reach 90 summoning using all your golds, crimsons and blues in the order shown in the following spreadsheet: Option One Another option is similar to how you mentioned in the last statement, using golds to 74 right now, then using your crimsons right away on granite lobsters, then lava titans and moss titans when you can. I calculated you reaching 91 summoning, as shown in the following spreadsheet: Option Two. This is what I recommend doing, as you should be able to get the most exp this way. A final option I investigated was to not use any charms prior to the weekend (as in option one), but this time start out with the blue charms on mithril minotaurs, then moving on to granite lobsters, moss titans and barker toads at the end. I determined you'd get 90 summoning with this method, which can be viewed in a little more detail on this spreadsheet: Option Three Hopefully this helps a little, and goodluck summoning :)

Latest RuneScape Poll - Bonus XP Weekend
1. Excited, not really. Will I be utilizing it, yes. 2. Summoning 3. Just changing what secondaries I use when, as I had a bunch already but for a lower level. Just had to quote this after reading all the petty arguing going on here, and this post made the most sense out of all of it. I also used to fall into the trap of doing things to compare to other players, but after a while came to the realization that doing things for that reason is useless. Rather than that, now I do things for fun/making the game more enjoyable. Some of these people here need to think about why they play runescape. Is it because they enjoy and have fun through the game itself, or is it because they've played long enough to be better than others and don't want that taken away from them?

Looked close, congrats on the win. On a side note, would you mind putting the additional images in spoilers as thats a fair amount of imagery to load.

Divine Vindicators day out
what a smart suggestion! Agreed, though this topic is just a bunch of propaganda. If DV was serious about trying to hit us they wouldn't hop away from us and would try and contact us for a fight via IRC. Well...at least thats what I'd do if I knew the clan or team I was hunting wouldn't turn away a fight if requested.

Clan Politics
Are we talking about a term-based leadership structure? If so it depends greatly on the type of clan on how it affects it, as RSOF has many odd and different clans not simply warring clans. In a warring clan atmosphere that kind of a leadership would be detrimental, but in many of the other types of clans it could be seen as fair, or letting others have a good chance to experience leadership/powerful roles when they normally wouldn't get to. And if that type of leadership structure isn't what you're referring to...lol at my post.

[TWR] Legendz v Downfall - Officially Claiming #1
Congrats LGZ, looks like the numbers were too much for us to over come. Unfortunately I missed it due to schoolwork and didn't have a chance to help try and turn the tide in Downfall's favour. And wtg on #1 :) Final Ko I'm pretty sure he's talking about most anticipated for LGZ, not referring to everybody else's feelings towards it.

Nice win SE, looks like you're still beasting it.

Save the Date! 26-Feb-2010
Thats the exact same way I calculated (using an exact average multiplier for specific time intervals, 1800 pouches/h), but unfortunately my starting point is quite a bit lower (though I've amassed 10k crimsons over the past months). Unfortunately for me 99 will seem to be out of reach, but 97 is easily obtainable and 98 a hopeful level. :)

[TCIT] Clan Europe & Silent Ember -vs- Crimson Raiders & Downfall
Goodfight. Your sniper pile got me a couple times, then after a while I was camped (or at least it seemed like it). Was hoping to get a pile called on me before I got sniped too low to tank but sadly that never happened *sadface*.

How should i use my charms on the "bonus exp weekend"?
What to make: I suggest making obsidian golems (73), lava titans (83) and when blues are used up granite lobsters (74), not sure what for greens, and barker toads for golds. Order of use: Simply due to the massive exp bonus during the first couple hours I recommend using up your blues first (get the most out of them) rather than later, and then once you've used them all up use your crimsons. I did a quick calculation and if you managed to use up all 2k blues on obsidian golems within the first hour (possible) you'd reach 88 simply from them (you'd have an average multiplier of 2.7 in the first hour, about 3.45m exp via blue). Naturally you'd switch to lava titans when you could, but I wanted a quick calc so didn't bother figuring out the maximum possible exp that way. Then after all the blues are used up you can use your 10k granite and get an additional ~6m exp (average multiplier from hour 1-6 is 1.888). Then use greens and golds at your leisure if you want to use up more charms. The granite lobs are suggested rather than swamp titans due to the lack of swamp lizards atm. Note: this is using the assumption that you'll be doing exactly 2k pouches/hour, if you can achieve more/less the values will go up/down. Personally I figured out my exp using a 1,800/h rate, but like mentioned earlier, these were quick calculations. Rings/Kyatts: You can get 25 pouches/trip, 8 trips/ring = 200 pouches/ring. Since you'll be making ~2k blue, 10k crimson you'll need at least 60 rings. Similarly, a Kyatt lasts about 1500 pouches and with 2k blue, 10k crimsons you'll need about 8 Kyatt pouches. (this is an approximate, my be more or less and I prefer to err on the side of caution so I'd suggest 9 or 10 pouches) Good luck summoning :) EDIT: I haven't summoned for a while and my pouches/hour may be off. Noticed that someone mentioned 2.5k-3k pouches/h. If thats true then the exp you'll get should be higher yet, and you'll need a few less Kyatt pouches.

Catching Swamp Lizards
Hi, I'm wondering what the quickest way to catch swamp lizards might be. Theoretically does the shortcut under the pub sound alright? or take that shortcut there and tele back to bank (via house)? Just wondering what would most likely lead to the most lizards/hour. Thanks in advance.
