If you're still looking for a clan I'd like to point you in the direction of KoA. They have a very low activity requirement as its a clan that recognizes real life commitments as the most important and have a relaxed atmosphere. Also, you won't have to worry about being looked at as a "noob" as KoA's requirements are merely to make it easier to participate in combat (mostly monster hunting) and skilling events that are held. Is this about a) safe pvp (cwa) vs risky pvp (bounty/pvp worlds) or b) skilling/monster hunting vs warring clans? If a) I think that safe pvp wars can be considered a starting point for clans. Unfortunately most of the clans that are considered top 10/20/30 much prefer fighting in risky pvp, and therefore makes it tough for upcoming clans to get safe wars with them. Also I believe there comes a time when a safe pvp clan reaches a dead end and has to look to fighting risky pvp wars in order to get more fights and better competition. Long story short, once you start pulling 35+ its time to start looking for a few risky pvp wars. If b) then pvp isn't needed in a clan at all. Many of the skilling/mh clans have a dedicated, friendly memberbase who are a part of those clans because they're centered around what they want to do. While you don't see near as much publicity from skilling/mh clans, its merely because they don't advertise their events like the pvp clans do in their war recaps. Successful clans come in all varieties, how successful they become depends on the leadership and members' attitudes.

Taking into account the conditions of this fight (mass dc's from both sides) and the ending (win by one) this is marked as a draw in my books. The next fight between us should be a good one.

The sight is for longbows only and being honest, longbows are so slow that even if they could hit harder, they are still fairly obsolete. One of the main reasons people chose the scimitar over other weapons for clan wars is because even though it might not hit AS hard, it still hits enough and quickly as well making them overall, better. Yeah I'm bumping an old(ish) topic but just thought I'd add on that despite the slower speed, I'm positive it provides a better rate of damage than the shortbow counterpart, especially when it comes to full rune.

Well fought The, was an interesting war being the first with more than one or two dungeoneering weapons. And don't worry about one member misclicking, thats all it seemed to be from my view. Those longbows are just...scary. :ohnoes: (insta-grabbed myself one after the war :P)

Since there's no actual proof I'll remain very skeptical of the 10% until I see a video of someone hitting 170+ with fire blast while not wearing an arcane necklace.

Sonic's answered with my opinion essentially. Only one that I'll differ on is the rapier. It allows for +1 on your max hit and a significant increase in accuracy over a rune scimitar. I'd say that if you can: i) afford a 100k/h training weapon or ii) enjoy dungeoneering so you take the gp&points method of recharging (I think its 6k points to recharge), then get it. edit: to the person above, where'd you get that info? From the RSDB it has no mentioning of a %mage damage, only the gravite staff which has a 5% damage.

Congrats TK for being the last standing in the wildy. Though from what I've seen it should be "TK + Friends vs PH + Friends". Just saying.

Looked like a fun war on both parts, Lgz fighting to over come the numbers deficit and TR fighting to overcome the levels deficit. Congrats on your win TR.
