[RESOLVED] 71 -> 75 Magic
010jonathan, thanks so much for your advice! :) homowz, I have a question about Humidify, and hopefully it doesn't seem like a stupid one, haha. According to our Tip.It calculator, I need to cast about 5.1K Humidify spells to get to 75. Rather than buying enough empty vials for 5.1K inventories-worth of casts, can't I just buy 5.1K vials, and cast Humidify with only one vial in my invent? Seems like this would save me the trouble of having to buy... uh... 130K-ish vials.

[RESOLVED] 71 -> 75 Magic
Hi, guys. :^_^: I've come looking for some methods to train my Magic skill from 71 to 75, using methods that don't involve combat. I'd really appreciate any help anyone could give! I only have access to normal and Lunar magicks, not Ancients. So far, I've been told that I should look into Alching or Superheating, preferably Superheating as it would train my Smithing at the same time. Any suggestions on what I should Superheat? I'm currently level 61 Smithing. As far as Alching goes, if I went this route, should I just continue to Alch Yew longbows? If anyone has any techniques other than Alching or Superheat, I'd also appreciate hearing those! And of course, if you have combat-involved methods to suggest, feel free to say as well, although please know I may not take your advice :P Thanks! :^_^:

br3tt0wnz, Thanks so much for your submission! :^_^: This spelling error has been fixed. Woops! In the future, we'd appreciate it if you could post any spelling/grammar corrections in this topic :) It's a bit easier to keep track of corrections if they're all in a centralized location. If you need anything else, please feel free to PM me. - SerpentEye

Tip.it Times 20 December 2009
Both articles were very nice reads! I'd certainly be interested in a wider variety of higher-end foods for the Cooking skill. Maybe something like Barbarian training, where you have to speak to an NPC and go through specific training to learn about the foods, on top of having higher Cooking, Farming and Hunting levels. There was a great thread on old TIF (don't know where it is now) about Eastern-style foods (Sushi, etc.) that was an interesting read. The possibilities for Cooking are endless. Personally, all of the PMods I know are very reasonable, polite people. The only time I see "questionable" PMods tends to be when I'm hanging out in G.E. I recently saw a PMod openly arguing back-and-forth with a player, a huge he-said, she-said ordeal. Also, I've recently heard on NUMEROUS occasions, PMods stating, "Actually, I don't report/mute people very often," or stuff along those lines. Isn't this what they're Mods for...? Shouldn't you be... uh, moderating people in-game?

Things that gross you out/bother you unnecessarily
[hide=Off Topicish] You mean bisque-fired clay, right? When I'm in my pottery class, it always annoys the hell out of me when I'm glazing my clay after it's been fired the first time and my fingers rub against it. I usually have to slap the glaze on and quickly apply my two coats of glaze to it. When it comes out, the glaze feels so good against my skin because of the smooth, glassy texture. This makes me miss school :( I spent like 90% of my free time in the pottery room. I didn't have a problem with touching bisque-fired clay, though :P[/hide]

Things that gross you out/bother you unnecessarily
Spitting! I don't understand why people think it's appropriate to gather a huge wad of spit in their mouth, and then spew it out onto the pavement. I've encountered someone at my work who flat-out spit all over the tile floor (I can somewhat understand spitting on cement/pavement... but on the tile floor of a business? Really?? <_< ) Also, smokers and spitting! What the heck? Two of my coworkers are smokers, and for some god-awful reason, after every drag of their cigarette, they find it necessary to spit onto the ground. They claim it "gets rid of the taste." Uhm... if you're worried about the taste... I suggest you, like... stop smoking. But yeah... spitting... ugh. WHY, PEOPLE? - - - Also, I hate feet. If I didn't need them to walk, I would even cut my own feet off.

I LOVED THIS MOVIE. Okay... it wasn't necessarily my favorite movie of the year (*cough* Star Trek *cough*), but it was certainly epic! The action was intense. The characters were unique, and I really grew fond of them, and felt like I was experiencing their feelings along with them. The acting... well, Sigourney Weaver <3: (Enough said.) And the graphics were STUNNING. The environment was unique, the characters and creatures were really awesome. It was such a bright movie, bright fluorescent colors popping out at you in nearly every scene - which played very nicely against some of the sadder scenes. The 3D material wasn't 3D in the sense that stuff "popped" out at you, or jumped off of the screen. It was all really just utilized to get a sense of depth to the environments - if you're going to watch it, I really suggest you watch the 3D version (if available). It's well worth the few extra dollars. Regardless of 3D or 2D, WATCH IT@

I'm going back into work in about... six hours to screen our 3D copy of Avatar. I'm so excited! Did you watch a digital 3D copy, or a standard 35mm copy? I'll be sure to reply with what I thought about it.
