  1. Good riddens to them... I also hope the temp bans are 1 year long.
  2. Hmm if the average price for an herb goes over 10k each i think ill sell my stock of herbs... Right now its at 6855 for an average herb.
  3. Skimming through the thread i know im in the minority but why in the heck is Jagex doing this? Bonus weekends??? Seems to me like some cheap gimmick that a used car dealer uses to get people to come down and hear his pitch about how good his crappy cars are... Runescape isnt crappy so why are they doing this?
  4. Jagex said the new skill will use all other skills and that there would be combat, lots of combat in the new skill. Just like in slayer you dont need any combat stats to get started but your going to gain combat stats as you train it. Anyway im getting tired of trying to lead people to the light so to speak so from now on go ahead and think the skill will be space travel, donkey herding, boot shining, or maybe surgery this new area is the space port, place to buy donkeys, place to get your shoe shine, or med school to learn how to operate on fatty tumors....
  5. I would just like to point out that if take any so called "Junk" item and leave it on the GE for while it does sell. The only thing i have had trouble selling is rune nails becuase im trying to sell them on a down swing and the GE price keeps changing. I sold 10k iron battle axes on the ge it took about 1 month but they all sold so you can sell anything on there if you just wait awhile.
  6. did jagex state that specifically somewhere? Even if they didn't, that's still a reasonable claim. Just curious This is all they said about the new f2p boss or at least all that I could find in one of the recent Q&A So no they never did mention it would be involved with the skill. Didn't realize the strange power happened in f2p too so ya startin to lean more towards f2p/p2p boss.... Oh and I seriously doubt it'll involve a quest at all for this now too. With such a big build up I doubt this will be a starter's quest so ya I'm not thinking a quest will be involved with this anymore. Lets use logic for a minute the new skill will be F2P = True The only new things that will be released to F2P are a starter quest and more then one boss monster = True Starter quest leads to new F2P boss monster= false(not a fact but close enough) New skill leads to new F2P boss monster= True(logically if the starter quest doesnt lead to the new F2P boss monsters the new skill will) Of course F2P could get stand alone Boss monsters but i don't see that happening(where on the current F2P would they be?) thus the new skill(which leads off the F2P map) will bring the new F2P boss monsters.
  7. So did the glitch work by casting enchant on one bolt and that in turn "dupped" 11 new (e)bolts + 1(e)bolt that you already had? I always read these forums from work so im not able to look at the utube vids and some pictures that other users post.
  8. For some reason i thought "REN" and "ME" were the same person #-o But some kind of exploration of instanced areas might be what the skill... I think what Jagex is saying about the new skill being something never done is that fact that going on mini quests/ completing instanced dungens/exploring new lands(whatever the skill is) has never been done before as a skill set in a much large complex game. Clearly anything you can think of has been done before in game but i think they just mean it hasnt been done the way they are going to do it.
  9. The F2P boss monsters will be part of the new skill..... *Face Palm* The new skill is some sort of instanced area skill.....
  10. Hmm im also wondering if as they made them they sold them to a general store if that could be logged also.
  11. The game logs a lot of data. Everything from movement to chat, I'm pretty sure anyone with over 1m's worth of duped bolts will be noted. Even if they don't tell anyone its still going to show on there logs. Im sure jagex can come up with a script that will check through the bank accounts of all members from before the dupping and then run the script on the bank accounts after it took place that finds all the people that stuck bolts into the bank then run a script on all members equiped items and all rouges purse(that thing that hold bolts), all invos, find people that have massive amounts of bolts in those places then look into each of those accounts and see if they bought them or if they have also gained an amount of fletching and magic xp(created the bolts themselves). All this will take some time plus we dont know exactly how much information they keep track off but im sure there will be some people that fall through the cracks and dont get caught.
  12. The 'entirely new' and 'never used before' idea is what has been a little confused. But maybe what they are saying is its never been done in a game as a skill before and that twist is what makes it entirely new and never done before. Im still 95% sure its going to be a instanced dungeon/island/ area type skill. To get passed the scenario we are presented with we might have to use other skills. Im guessing that maybe say your in a maze and there is a pressure plate you have to mine some ore and place it on the plate to open a door a heat plate you have to burn some logs on. As you pass through the dungeon you gain xp which opens up harder areas to get through. At the end of course you have to fight a boss to get the goodies(new high level armour that they hinted at) Idk im just throwing this out there.
  13. I have two thoughts First i dont think in the long run (2 -3 months down the road prices will be much different then before this started. Second other then the Bolts lost due to people being banned Jagex will not remove any dupped bolts. Well i have a bonus third thought for all the items could be dupped this is not all that bad becuase these items when used will naturally leave the game so there will be no long lasting effect.
  14. this is what happens when 8 years olds are allowed to play too much runescape......They come up with wacky crazy idea like the new skill will be basketball i mean think about it makes perfect sence you first have to gather the materials to build the court then you can play. Im kidding of course....
  15. Plus there is always some noob holding the group back or not doing the right thing....Hell most of the time im the noob because i detest team games.
  16. ^^ You are correct i have finished 9 years and have begun my 10th year of playing. Arg im getting old lol. On topic i hope the next teaser will be the NPCs that will populate the new area.
  17. This to JoeDaStud: Clearly you were not around in RCS when Jagex built houses(had them fenced off) and called them future player owned house long long long before they created the construction skill ie. Player owned houses. Well either way everyone is entitled to there opinion but im just going off of playing jagex's game for 10 years and looks at both facts and historical tendencies of jagex i can lead you to the water but i wont force you to drink it.
  18. I said it before but ill post again because not everyone reads through the whole thread, this area is will be the staging area/ tutorial for the new skill(instanced dungens what ever the name will be) from this point a boat will leave from the dock area to take us to the instanced dungens/ islands or maybe even a whole continent. No offence but this is classic Jagex anyone from rsc can tell you they like to tease with releases before they go "live" Notice there is no NPCS running around the huge land mass yet(my guess is we will get to go past the guards and interact with npcs in the area before the skill comes out(the next tease)). Anyone thinking its a quest or mini quest or simply a new boss monster cleary doesnt read what information they(Jagex) put out.... they would have released it straight away they only tease like this when it will be something big ie the biggest things going on right now the new skill. Please read this. Most logical explaination of the New Skilland once you read that then read this and see how it all ties in with what Jagex has said hereIts not rocket science
  19. As my thought process evolved on the topic i should have never put in censor but used only limit and im only talking about the update threads not any other threads. Look at page 8 and part of page 9 of the 22-Feb-2010 - Impetuous Impulses Improvements update thread its full of arguing about the fire cape change with icewryms. What im saying or lobbying for at this point is for 2 update threads for each update one for information only about the new update and another where people can voice their opinions or anything else about the update that isnt informative. Maybe after 3 or 4 days the two topics can be merged into 1 or maybe just left has 2 topics idk.
  20. Ya i caught that bugger two times last night.
  21. Nudge, Nudge I think it would be good. Just look at page 8 of the 22-Feb-2010 - Impetuous Impulses Improvements update thread they are arguing about the fire cape change to ice wyrms i mean come its a different update entirely and there is thread filled with rants and praise for the change. edit. you said "Though crew have forums for submitting information" any chance i could have access with read only ability? Although i don't often update runescape wiki or write guides, i do like to get just the pure information side of updates
  22. what makes you say its gonna be f2p? if you think so because its in f2p wildy thats not true: the Summer quests and corporeal beast are also in f2p wildy but are p2p The dialogue to the npcs in F2P is exactly the same as in P2P, if it was members only the npcs would either not be there or just say that it is a members feature much like all the other p2p updates in f2p areas. Have you tried this out yourself with a char. that hasnt done any Fremmenik quests or completed the trials on F2P because it wouldnt make sense if your char. referenced something it hasnt done yet??
  23. Racheya i guess what my question to you would be should tip.it have 2 posts made for each update one solely to be informative about the new update and the second post created for people to voice their opion about the new update. My reasoning for this would be the informative post could be used by guide makers/ wiki-updaters/ people soley interested in information about the new update to quickly gather up the imformation about the new update. While the second post is created to give an arena to everyone that wants to voice their opion about the update why its good why its bad why its needed or not.
  24. Turth be told, I agree with you that I'd like to see other threads about that, but the Mods also either close/merge those topics with the existing ones about the update. They typically only want one thread about one subject. Ahh ok so its more like a tip.it policy to contain all subject matter about one subject in one place or thread? Can any tip.it mod confirm this?
  25. What im talking about is freeing up the update posts so that the new information isnt burried with complaints and counter complaints. Suggestions and rants have their own areas and new topics about your opinion on updates can be created and everyone can voice there opions about the updates there Freeing the update post to be informative about the contents of the update.
