Waste?
Yes, really who is John what is he doing, what role is he playing? The other day i was looking at some old pictures of Runescape and at one point i was the 97th best fighter(back then they only counted HP as who was best on highscores) this was in all of Runescape. Now today im just a another character with 99 hp and melee stats one of thousands just like me, was it a waste? Yes, im sure i could have been more productive with my time but i had fun playing. Do i care if people that i dont know say im a loser for being that good? No i couldn't care less... If Fred and Jack really get their feelings hurt by what people over the internet say then they really should take some time and reflect on where they are going in life becuase worrying about what people over the internet think and say is not a good path to be on...

Raising Stat Caps
I have stated my idea before... What Jagex can do is, once you hit level 99 a new formula kicks in it doesnt follow the same trajectory as 1-99. it levels out much much more so the xp to get from one level to the next isn't an exponentially larger amount. But to counter this each level gained past level 99 gives you less and less xp as your level increases. So lets you need 1.8mil to go from lv 99 to lv 100 but since your past level 99 now you get 10% xp per everything you do in the skill and at lv 100 you get 13% less xp and so no and so forth. Now you can still get levels and still you have the 200mil xp cap but you can make 200mil xp much harder to get to and you can increase the levels beyond 126. Jagex could apply the mathematics to those players that already has 200m xp and lower their xp to the appropriate level. This i doubt would ever happen but its a fairly straight forward way to add more levels into the game and make it so the levels arent insanely hard to reach becuase the amounts of xp needed to go from one level to the next arnt raising as fast as they would in the 1-99 slop.

[DevBlog] Trust Us, We're QA
Ahh yes i almost never try out new the new updates until a few days later i always find really funny to hear about some guy who goes to a new update holding all his most valuable items then looses it to a bug and then blames others for his stupidity. Why would you ever need to bring your most valued item or money to some place new??

Raw materials likely to crash ?
I think durring school months prices of everything generally go up more so then down becuase the kiddies have less time to play. But i also think it kinda will balance it self out becuase there will be less kiddies buying levels so in the end prices might not change all that much but a little rise in price.

The choice to choose a race in Runescape
No, plain and simple was always what runescape offered. We don't need 20 different races with different traits. We the players are human so our avitars are human its simple and it makes sence. I myself do not want to see races introduced into the game.

Farming Questions - Experienced Farmers Required
Im not much of a farmer myself but having spent alot of time reading about farming and such i nothing other then super compost or compost reduces the chance of herbs dieing. Yields are also greater if you use compost/super compost.

End Game Content?
Just to stand up for Jagex a little they did just recently give us a huge, very huge infact update to agility that gave player with higher agility really fast recharge times on their run energy and that made so many things faster. That was for me the biggest update in game play for the entire year. But i guess people forget about that quickly... Yes it would be nice for somethings to have high level content added to them. But i also understand that they cant just go ahead and add in things to every skill all at once if they do that they cause the game to end sooner then if they very slowly add a piece here and then a piece there. They want to keep the game going as long as possible and not finishing things is one way do it.

Being a self-made player
This is for the OP mostly... I have never bought a level either check my stats if you want and you will see levels that cost money or have no way of training without spending money are really low. I only get summoning levels from lamps, Penguin spotting, or Tears of Guthix. My construction is low also but im going to be doing defender of Varrock to fix that(i hope). While i never buy levels i do however sell things on the GE. Getting Ess off the GE isnt that bad but you could always kill banshees(sp) an hour of killing them will give you about 1k ess. maybe more. I do buy coal off the GE if i need to but i always make a profit from everything i do so i guess im not as do it yourself as some might be. But i guess i just dont understand whats one about power training on money making skill just to power train another skill with money just to get some cape and then repeat again and again until you have to train the non buyable skills just makes no sense and doesnt seem fun to me but whatever floats the masses boats i guess....

History and Future of the RuneScape World Map
why does everyone keep talking about the eastern lands?? Please correct me but i thought the only mention of "eastern lands" was back when they released new hair styles that came from an eastern land. That has nothing to do with new game content though, did i miss an announcement?

What items are guaranteed to rise over the next few years?
That's probably the best. You could invest the rest (or 100m or so) into half-full wines and Easter eggs (these aren't overly expensive, and are 100% sure to increase in future, due to them being edible, and discontinued) I agree or just buy 1 p hat. Don't spend any money on things that are still comming into the game...

Which one?
I would choose minning, but i have 90 minning and i enjoy minning coal, adam ore, mith ore... rune minning will not give you endless amounts of money. Thats all a bunch of hype your lucky if you get 100k-200k an hour minning rune and thats if you can find any. Most of the time its just empty rune rocks and then waiting for the next world to let you log in..... hours and hours of that is what i promise rune minning will give you. But if you like minning coal and adam or mith ore then minning is quite fun and enjoyable.

7/28/2009? unannounced PVP changes
Well... They *could*. It's just how far they are willing to go to rid the game of 76kers. Removing the ditch, or making BH back into a mini-game or sorts rather than a whole world would certiainly change things for level 1 tankers. You could just be annoying and single out 1 tanker and just keep attacking that person everytime they enter the wild. Also you could entangle/freeze and dragon scim spec and then mage them maybe get lucky and kill them before they can use prayer again.

the old, forgotten legends of rs
Awesome link, that brings back a lot of old names. Dmonik was long the best smither out there and Twy really did race Blue to 85. For a while there was 2 true smithers, Twy and blue. For me those reasons are good enough to call Dmonik&Twy legends. I completely agree, 99 isn't the only measuring stick, there were milestones along the way. Dmonik was the first mithril smith if i remember correctly, and Twy was the only other addy smith when blue was getting to the items that were smith only (addy square, kite, 2h, etc.). I don't know how anyone could argue that Twy wasen't a legend for what he did. Hohto I always love seeing your posts on these topics hah, you seem to have as much pride of being higher level back then as I do. Nice to see your pictures too. Das, you and the Wanderers will go down in my mind as the best rs clan ever. None of the clans nowadays can even approach the level of dominance the Wanderers had. DI or TD or whatever might say they are the best clan at the moment, but none of them can say they don't have competition. The Wanderers had probably 75% of the highest levels in the game, and no other clan was even close to matching them. Nobody would war them. Only the BKs would fight them, and that never lasted long (Though props to Who Da Best, Terminator, The Good1 etc. who actually tried to put up a fight). Yup damn my low prayer back then and still but im on that list 10 names up from the bottom.

the old, forgotten legends of rs
Ya i agree i started Feb. 2001 when there was just one sever to play on. Back then runescape was very clique like but also much more about the people and personalities that played rather then what we were playing.

I would think the whole of Runescape players has learned that for the next few days after an update not to do things that could cause a large loss in money.... I know a cannon base is pennies for you but some lvl 60 noob it might be his entire bank. But my point is that at least we should know by now that every update comes with bugs.... After updates try doing simple easy things with things your non worried about loosing like bank everything and then go fishing or wcing or minning or whatever.... Cannons can be easily gotten back. It's not the fact that I lost my cannon base and have to get it back at the dwarf, but the simple fact that every update is accompanied with bugs. It is just amazing that they succeed in bringing new bugs to the game every single week. And you can't just expect that a whole continent of servers goes offline. If you have to calculate those risks in your daily activities, you might as well stop playing. My only point was that every update brings bugs and that people should be careful after updates with expensive items.

Remarkable Runescape Characters
Larryr was a female as far as i know and she doesnt play anymore... Also 3 hit u was far from the first pure. Pures or second accounts also called mules have been around since the first day runescape started back then everyone(or nearly everyone) had what is called a mule. There were no banks so to keep extra items you made up a mule to hold your items. Then as players played more they realized that magic and prayer and defence didnt help that much in combat with other players. So they turned to their mule and trained only attack and strength on it. Thats how pures started...
