  1. I cant say im completely over machinima, becuase i was never into it in the first place....
  2. I never played this mini-game Trident looks interesting what is its magic bonus? I agree with JoeDaStudd Its nice that penance armour now gives active prayer restore but the gear is so lacking it doesnt really make sence to use it anywear.
  3. I guess the only thing i can think that would really put a dent in bots would be if player mods could temp ban for say 2 days and then a Jagex mod looks into the account and could then perm ban based on what is found. That wouldnt stop players that macro while they are on the pc but it would stop the AFK bots.
  4. Here are some idea on things that could be done: Allow players to spawn monsters to disrupt the macro Allow more things like flowers to be created confusing bots but presenting no challenge to real players Allow players bring about random events (one per day limit) Allow player mods the ablity to teleport suspected bots to a new random(or holding area) that isnt ever shown to players and gives no reward for completion. (but is complicated enough to be very hard to complete ie. directions on how to leave are written into the walls or floor.(like pick up 2 black keys 1 blue balloon and 7 red balls)Items colored and looking similar to common things bots would pick up. Plus any player sent to this place has their account looked into for suspicious activity. Just a couple ideas on how to deal with bots.
  5. Ppl said that they were seeing some snape grass under the lvl 3 so it is dropping the snape grass it just drops it slowly? It could be the lvl 3 is a left over bot that had a lot of money on it and instead of training it up to sell the wealth off of it they are doing this to give the wealth to higher level so that can sell off the wealth through pvp or some other method. Just my guess. I guess if we are seeing more bots again they(the RWT'ers) have found a vilable way to RWT again. Any ideas of how? Other then some luck with PVP.
  6. For myself id have to say no but only because im a noob with summoning. I think i have 47 or 48 now all from lamps and tears of gunthix and a little bit of peguin points. So i havnt gotten to the levels where summoning seems worth while yet.
  7. Besides the Maze i dont recall any random at present that gives items without you be able to choose what you want. That said i dont recall the random but within the last few weeks i got one that didnt give me the choice of an xp lamp.
  8. Honestly I dont think there needs to be new updates every week i would be happy with every 2 weeks or even 3 weeks. In RS classic sometimes things wouldnt be updated for almost a month and the updates were often small. Also it must be hard to keep comming up with new things to add into the game year after year. Think about it Runescape is 9 years old now it has lasted longer then most MMORPGs do and its still going to be around for a while. But how many more mini games/skills/ new content can be added every week or even every year at some point things get redundant and new for the sake of new just doesnt work. I hope that they slow down with the updates. Picture a fire and a can of gasoline. You could dump all the gasoline on the fire at once and for a short time it flare up or you could very slowly keep that fire burning for a very long time by slowly adding the gasoline.
  9. Back in rs classic the curses were used to even the playing field against high level pkers.(it sapped their pots and lowered their skill to your potted skill) In classic you could cast magic while still fighting with melee and not loosing a turn in battle. But in RS2 curses cuase you to loose that turn of battle and slows down your fighting and have become worthless in terms of being useful other then gaining xp. I could see the the soul rune curses being used at multi-combat boss monsters 2 spots on everyone isnt going hurt the trip.(no one should be using 3 spots when we have combo runes). The start of each fight all members of the group cast a predermined spell on the NPC each member casts twice should be enough for someone to hit it and lower the attack str and def.
  10. What about making sailing just like slayer in that by say making cannons you level both smithing and also sailing. So most sailing items are made from other skills but give sailing xp that unlocks the new boats new ports and new game areas. So ways to train Sailing and what skills they fall under: Smithing- cannons, cannon balls, other cannon ammo, armor for the higher leveled sailing vessels, weapons and armour for your crew Crafting- Making and patching sails, fancy cloths for your wenches and seamen, low level leather armor, high level sniper/ranger armor for crew. Construction- making the boats hulls and other parts of the ships Fishing- if using your vessel for deep sea fishing(new fish?) Herblore- potions for you and your crew (special new sailing potions) maybe better vision temp boost in your line of site and so on... Woodcutting- add on to the sawmill mini game where you cut the long beams for use on sailing vessels Cooking- foods you carry with on your sailing journeys heals injured crewmen Hunter- used along with fishing catch whales(give hunter, fishing, and sailing xp) Magic- help type spells to use on the ship and crew (like vengeance can only be used once every so often) Sailing- doing tasking and missions for various NPCs results in direct sailing xp.(much like slayer tasks rewards from smoking kills) (edit for for spell checking)
  11. I always found that the people or were always on back in classic when i really played alot were never worried about training or getting money or anything and they played the game more for the social aspects of the game so it comes to me no surprise that the person with the most time played doesnt have the highest levels or insane xp totals.
  12. Street prices might be different for really really really large amounts of herbs but anything less then 10k or even 20k can be bought off the GE in a day 2 at the most.
  13. At the start of Runescape everything revolved around combat. Even fire making(used to start fires to cook food) becuase there was that many ranges around back then. Now everything is connected but not everything is related combat anymore.
  14. Im sure im reading into the wording too much and incorrectly but "Thats before we even mention the new skill that is coming in 2010! And yes, there will be new combat equipment as well" The "And yes" part to me seems to be an extension of the previous sentence. New skill is a combat oriented skill?? I hope so...
  15. pretty crazy...
  16. Good idea - I think I'll go design an RS help-site instead :P Qeltars help sites have always been some of the best with the most useful, sometimes overlooked info in them.
  17. Since i was down their for about one month before i got my dragon pickaxe, i first used a godsword thinking higher hits would kill them fasster but then tried out the whip and its much quicker for getting kills faster.
  18. My favorite noncombat skill is minning or crafting(both are money makers) ... My highest non combat skill is cooking now for that guy that said he enjoys cooking so much im wondering if he ever cooked a cake or pie or gnome foods or if his 99 cooking came from cooking lobs, monks and sharks, only 3 of the hundreds of things you can create with the cooking skill?? He said he enjoys the skills and im calling him out on that BS cooking 3 things thousands of times over and over again is not enjoyable sorry but its just isnt.
  19. Gold ore cost is dropping becuase of the ancient cavern concentrated gold deposits make is really quick and easy to mine massive amounts of gold ore quickly. I can get 26 ore in about 2-4 mins 5mins to bank it repeat thousands of times by hundreds of players and that brings the cost of gold ore down. The other 2 things i think is just a result of the Jagex ending the lower cap on items and they are falling to real world prices of those items.
  20. I think is the most likely thing to happen it would be very easy to do that.
  21. I guess if he is able to increase the price of weeds by even a few coins he could make money from doing it. Although i cant see weeds going up more then a couple of coins seeing as no one buys it as it is useless.
  22. Can anyone else confirm this? Because it seems like a dirty move on Jagex's part, especially after they scrapped their plans to make skill capes re-weildable on F2P. This seriously ticks me off. Last year was my glory ammy, I could accept that. But 2 years in a row, and this being such a key item removed.... Not to be [bleep] but both could just get members for the event then put back on your members stuff and then go back to f2p and think your cool rocking the members items again in f2p. And dont cry me a river about not being able to afford a RS membership there are always ways of making money. Even if you collect cans for a few days or you beg for handouts at a gas station for a couple of hours you will be able to come up with the 6.50 or whatever it is for a month of Runscape membership.
  23. My fremmy name is Sigdur kinda lame but whatever....
  24. 1. This does need to be tested out. Does a "drain" show up on your stats as a literal -X amount? If not, this update just got a lot better. 2. Magic potions have a fixed boost of 5, unlike melee potions which boost by a percentage amount and have a greater impact. Even if you have a magic potion with you and assuming 99 as a base, your magic level would still only go from 89 to 94, which is barely enough for ice barrage. Even then, the stat drain continues up to 20% or 25% of your magic level. Either keep sipping pots, or face not being able to use spells. 3. Leech Magic boost starts off at 5% and rises to 10%. Leech Magic drain starts off at 10% and rises to 25%. Which is going to win? What about stat restore pots im pretty sure they still will revive magic back it its original level???
  25. Yay the forums are back up anyone know what happened? Anyway the think the mag glass was a pretty cool reward. Just 6 months from now and you want see many people with it and it will be neat that you got it.
