What i do to have "fun" is come up with little tasks to accomplish and then set about to finish them. My current little task is to make 15,000 poison+ adam arrows(from scratch). So far i have mined 1k adam ore and mined 6k coal. Now im smelting the ore into bars. about 700 ore left(i only smelt a few hundred each time i play.) When i finish ill try out the arrows and if i like them ill keep them, if not ill try to sell them. I dont know why but comming up with little tasks then doing them is enjoyable.

Well said not everyone has the same mind set. I guess its hard for both sides of the argument to realize. (myself included on the play for fun side of things)

Fun is subjective. For some, maximizing xp/hr, gp/hr, or even xp/gp is fun. Thats what i said fun is subjective but i also said that most people who think obsessively staring at a screen clicking away not wanting to blink because they might lose out on 15 xp that hour are not really have "fun" and if they stopped playing long enough to think about it they would realize that arnt really have fun. I can only guess these are the same players who literally run to the bathroom and run back to the pc when ever they have to use the bathroom because OMG if they take too long in the bathroom they are missing out on xp that should have been gained in that hour....or worse they bring a laptop in with them while they take a number 2.

I think i have said it lots of time in many posts where efficiency is brought into the discussion RUNESCAPE IS A GAME AND SHOULD BE PLAYED FOR FUN. Now "FUN" is up to each individual to define for themselves. That said I think if the players obsessed with efficiency really took a look in the mirror and thought about it for a few minutes, I think many of them would come to the conclusion that maximizing xp/hr is really not very enjoyable.

That's the thing- right now, i could easily prove that using no potions at all is much cheaper, but as he hasn't taken into account how to get 92 herblore or how potting effects your combat efficiency, he can't argue that i'm wrong. But yea, if you didn't already know it(and you obviously should have), everyone who has the herblore level uses extremes for training- that's the only reason they got those high herblore levels. Another reason your calculations are meaningless is that they don't mimic real situations- the people that use potions usually pot every 5-8 minutes, not every time they go down to level-x. Golvellius- efficiency is vital for those who want to play this game successfully but don't have an enormous amount of free time lying around. Sure, it's possible to nolife your way to anything, but as efficiency proves, that if you do the things in the right way, you will be saving alot of time. I can't stress it enough, you can't buy time. So while you may have 10 hours to play every day, i'll achieve exactly the same things in 7. Or you could just play the game for fun and enjoy your time playing, its a game not a job. Its not a contest of how fast you can get 99s or 200mil xp its a game that you should be playing for fun....

What can i do to get my FPS up?

One of Two things happened: 1: The mask is gone unless the user who sold it on the GE was on world 2 and if that was the case he kept the mask and its still in the GE. or thing number 2: Jagex tracks all GE transactions when one world is rolled back but others are not items already sold and turned into cash simply disappear from the game forever. So in conclusion the mask is most likely gone. Jagex has taken many steps to avoid creating duplicate items.

I think at some point all skills will slowly be given a 120 cap. Cooking might be the first old skill moved to the 120 cap.

i think amulets give the best xp

It could be a chess / combat triangle combination game... I the only thing i dont like about turn based games is the time it takes to play them endless waiting for the other guy to make his move and then the inevitable screw up you make because your on a 30 second timer to make each move.

I only do either small or medium dungens with my real life wife we both have dung levels in the low 50s. We kinda made dungeneering our thing we do on runescape together. My avatar or whatever is much more advanced then hers so it kinda kind sucks i have to do everything in most dungens. Well needless to say we only do a dungen here and there when we play together so i cant really forsee ever getting a very high level. So yes i only dungeneer for fun.

You'd only set it to burn quams? No wonder you think it's useless. If you're like me who likes to pick up every herb to clean for xp, this is an AMAZING item, aberant spectre tasks will require so much less clicking now, AND I'll get a little more experience from it. That WILL add up fast on a lot of herb dropping tasks. Ok look, Torstols are only 15 xp to clean... I know that it's not worth it to use it on Torstols, but for argument's sake, let's say Torstols are worth 1gp, so essentially you get 15 extra xp per torstol. 99 herblore is 13m xp. If you got torstols all the time, you'd get 433k drops to get the level. So no, it's not going to add up, and it's not going to add up fast. Now think about how slow it's going to be if you only use it on cheap herbs... Your missing the point its not supposed to be used to get you to 99 herblore its to save you some time and money over the course of your daily playing....

The box is Intended to be used by F2p, it even mentions it in the update article "Free players can learn a technique to become more efficient at smithing and charge special boxes with spells to cast", it's sorta like the gravite weapons and Longbow sight. Nice for f2p, useless to P2p Also, about the Herbacide. Did you miss the part about you being able to choose which herbs it burns? I would love to have it. I'd have it burn Guam, marrentill and tarromin. It doesn't automatically burn every herb drop. I agree i think ill pick up the herbacide my guess is you earn about 500xp per full load of herbs while killing chaos druids if you collect 5 loads a day thats 2500xp per day x 30 days 75k extra herb xp per month...

And this is what seperates the Pros from the Noobs. If you won't use brews, and don't know how to kill the boss, then don't go to GWD solo. Don't forget your antipoision, and since you are going to die, have someone to bless your grave. Because some people play runescape for fun... I dont have dragon gloves i use a regen bracelet. I hate quests and cant be bothered to do many of them because i dont enjoy questing(refer back to the I PLAY RUNESCAPE FOR FUN) The point of making the thread is that most guides are based on the assumption that the person reading the guide has 99 everything and has all the best equipment for every slot and will be using maxed setups, but for many players thats not the case, so most of whats in a guide is not very helpful. As i said before i play for fun and i want to try out part of the game for fun I make the super pots ill use and fish and cook the rocktails(slowly as I collect herbs ill one day make extremes but right now I cant) ... Again i play for fun some people still do that its not all about efficiency and maximum xp/cash gain per hour for some of us.

So is having high magic def then praying melee protect the way to go? I dont have all of those items: Verac Helm Fury Karil top Karil Skit D boots Fire cape <--dont have Rapier<--- dont have Barrows gloves<---- dont have DFS<--- dont have Seers ring<--- dont have could buy if its really needed The T bird is the best i could bring my summoning is really low (level 57) I want to go after the Zammy god becuase it seems to be the least crowded and the best to have a chance to solo.

I think your 100% correct. Which is why delays happen and will continue to happen more often as the game gets ever more complex.

I have 99s in all melee stats but i have never been much of a monster hunter i dont want to "pro" hunt but i am interested in trying out the Zammy god wars boss i will be using rocktails as food and a super set of att str and def pots. My normal set up for the god wars dung is sara plate, bandos tassets, fury ammy, whip and zammy god book HitPoints(constitution) cape, dragon boots my question is how many prayer pots/ should i bring and should i expect to get more then 2 solo kills per trip? Or should i switch the whip/zammy book combo for bandos GS and zammy skirt set up? I can also bring a terror bird for extra food. Im new to boss hunting but i refuse to use sara brews as food so dont waste your time telling me i have to use them....(im DIY kinda guy and making those pots is too costly)
