  1. I got the plate before he showed up, got a helmet with him (I gave him a split), and then another helmet after he left. :P.
  2. Ambler had to leave for a few minutes, then this happened. Lol. I love Armadyl.
  3. Ambler showed up... Literally seconds after saying, "Snipe a chestplate from me, but not a helmet." We get:
  4. I'd say so far this trip is going OK. Not the pieces I'd want, but 15KC I've already gotten an effigy and:
  5. Damn it. Got to Armadyl, looked at my Pernix... 12%. Yeah, that ain't gonna last. Couple trips ago all my Pernix broke. Damn near killed me instantly. Lol. Will let y'all know how this trip goes. Really craving to SGW though, but meh. Armadyl's nice and relaxing. World 23 if anyone wants to join. People in it or not, it'll be mine. :P. Snipe a helmet or hilt from me and I'll kill you. Haha, take any of the others, but not those two!
  6. *Sigh* Jagex, IDK how you can live with youselves sometimes.
  7. We used ArenaScape not long ago to hold some of the things for DGSweeper, so I know it still exists: Link: http://arenascape.net/ I wouldn't click player stories. Lol.
  8. Not sure if I should keep doing Armadyl in attempt to get the last two drops or move on to Saradomin or Zamorak and just get the other two Armadyl between Zamorak? Something tells me I'm going to get a lot of other Armadyl drops before a hilt. Just my luck. -.-
  9. Well, yesterday I started Kree'arra. As promised, this is my setup: Of course, a steel titan is already summoned.
  10. » Introduction » Real Life Hello, Tip.It community. As you may have guessed, my name is Stev. It's pronounced exactly how it's spelt, not Steve. I'm 24 years old and live in Ontario. I know, cool right? I've lived here my entire life, although I hope someday that'll change. I'm not ashamed of being Canadian, in-fact I'm very proud, but I don't believe this is the place I'm meant to live my life. I'm guessing this is the part where most would say what they do. Well, for now that list is rather short. I program, spend time with friends, and enjoy time with family. More specifically, my baby girls Emily and Sydney, and my buddies Judah and Levi. If you were to ask me a couple years ago what I do, the answer would be quite different. Back then I was BMXing (sponsored) for four and five hours a day, programming for a living, partying, and, well, living the life. An injury cost me my job, my house, my BMX, the woman I loved, and thus brings me to where I am now. After 14 surgeries and four PICC lines, my right leg is fused straight. I'm scheduled to have my 15th and final surgery in the upcoming months after which I hope to re-obtain my old life. It'll be replacing the majority of my leg and giving me a knee again. » RuneScape I started playing RuneScape back in the days of classic. Though, I can't say I played it much. Even still, I never focused on levels or skills. My priority was always making money. Staking was my specialty. Though it didn't require any skill. It was easy to go from 500M to 30B+ in the matter of days, but it was also that easy to lose it. That's what I loved about it. It was a never ending climb. Beside staking was PvM and boss hunting. I suppose I started bossing by no-lifing Tormented Demons. Making literally billions from Tormented Demons, I started to take part in other bosses with a clan that I used to help manage named W2LostSouls. This was all I did on RuneScape for literally years. However, DGS changed my RuneScape career forever. They showed me how fun dungeoneering can be. Having dungeoneered only a few times prior, they asked me to develop a tool to overlay the map which would display icons and notifications. Over the years I would only log in to dungeoneer and the program turned into DGSweeper. Well, it's time for PvM to make a return to my RuneScape life. Having founded a PvM clan chat, I suppose this thread could act as inspiration for my clan mates and fellow Tip.Iters. » Mission The purpose of this blog is to act as inspiration for those wanting to participate in PvM. Hopefully people will be able to get tips and ideas from this thread that they can apply themselves. Who knows, maybe someone will post a tip or idea that I will use myself. Starting yesterday, I began a quest. This blog will focus around that. My goal is to once again obtain every single boss drop in RuneScape at least once. These are the rules: » Only lootshared or solo drops will be counted. Coinshare does not count. » The items can not be sold until the goal is achieved. This includes duplicates. » I must keep track of every boss-specific drop. This includes godsword shards. » I have to post my bossing setups before each boss is completed. » Bosses do not have be be done in any order. I do not have to finish one boss before fighting another. » The following bosses must be considered: » Commander Zilyana » Corporeal Beast » Dagannoth Prime » Dagannoth Rex » Dagannoth Supreme » General Graardor » Kalphite King » Kalphite Queen » Kree'arra - (Setup) - (Completed) » K'ril Tsutsaroth » Nex » Tormented Demon - (Setup) - (Completed) » Vorago This blog really does aim to be the ultimate PvMer's blog. » Progress » Overall Below is a summary of bosses I've attempted so far and drops achieved. » Commander Zilyana: » Armadyl Crossbow » Saradomin's Hiss » Saradomin's Murmur » Saradomin's Whisper » Saradomin Hilt (3) » Saradomin Sword » Godsword Shard 1 » Godsword Shard 2 » Godsword Shard 3 » Starved Ancient Effigy » General Graardor: » Bandos Boots (2) » Bandos Chestplate (5) » Bandos Gloves (5) » Bandos Helmet (5) » Bandos Hilt » Bandos Tassets (4) » Bandos Warshield (5) » Godsword Shard 1 » Godsword Shard 2 » Godsword Shard 3 » Starved Ancient Effigy » Kree'arra: » Armadyl Boots (3) » Armadyl Buckler (3) » Armadyl Chainskirt (5) » Armadyl Chestplate (5) » Armadyl Gloves (3) » Armadyl Helmet (4) » Armadyl Hilt (2) » Godsword Shard 1 » Godsword Shard 2 » Godsword Shard 3 » Starved Ancient Effigy » Nex: » Pernix Body » Pernix Boots » Pernix Chaps » Pernix Cowl » Pernix Gloves » Torva Boots » Torva Full Helm » Torva Gloves » Torva Platebody » Torva Platelegs » Virtus Book » Virtus Boots » Virtus Gloves » Virtus Mask » Virtus Robe Legs » Virtus Robe Top » Virtus Wand » Zaryte Bow » Tormented Demon: » Dragon Claw (10) » Dragon Limbs (29) » Off-hand Dragon Claw (10) » Ruined Dragon Armour Lump (2) » Ruined Dragon Armour Shard (5) » Ruined Dragon Armour Slice (3) » Starved Ancient Effigy » Breakdown Unfortunately, with the latest forum update, the BBCode for the breakdown was changed. Therefore, I lost track of drops I had or hadn't yet received. So, I'll no longer be keeping a breakdown.
  11. We're doomed! Doomed I tell you! This is terrific! Very well done, Xena! Good to finally see you in red!
  12. I will certainly be there, as Armadyl's (and Nex) been my boss(es) of choice lately. Let's see how good a mention on the RuneScape news feed is. At the time of their post, this thread had 374 views.
  13. That thread was locked for a few reasons reasons. If a thread has little discussion value - we lock it. If a thread has a high possibility of leading to a flame war - we lock it. If the thread has potential to turn into a racial fight - we lock it. While we hope and prefer people remain civil and mature, some things can be taken the wrong way, people can overreact, and things happen. We don't lock threads because we disagree with them. Hell, if that were the case over half the threads on Tip.It wouldn't exist. And, to be quite frank, the thread just wasn't true. Add that to the first paragraph of this post... It had it coming. :P.
  14. If you get knocked around, your rapid fire has a chance of stopping early. I'm unsure about familiars under steel titan. Either BOBs aren't really needed, so I'd assume any familiar which can deal any amount of damage would be worth it. I see a lot there with fire/ice titans - perhaps those?
  15. My ranged actionbar for Armadyl is: Dreadnips are hardly worth it there, TBH. If you don't know yet, either stand in the doorway or north-east corner. She can't stun you and cancel your rapid fires and such. I press 6-1, wait until I can do both snapshot and rapid fire right afterward. Hold 6 while doing rapid fire. Easy peasy. :).
  16. Update 1.0.4.5 After changing a lot of the core functions to speed things up and add support for fullscreen, I made a few boo-boos. As I don't play in fixed, I forgot to make sure it still worked in that display mode. Turns out, it didn't. Changes DGSweeper was randomly freezing. I can finally say, with 100% certainty, that this is fixed! It was a problem with DGSweeper getting stuck in an infinite loop and therefore never again launching the thread to search for the RuneScape applet. It'll now, once again, work in fixed in the Jagex client. Last update I changed the way the applet information was stored. Previously: _dgs.runescape.visible.current=0 ;~ Meant it wasn't found. _dgs.runescape.visible.current=1 ;~ Meant it was in fixed. _dgs.runescape.visible.current=2 ;~ Meant it was in resizable. Well, I've separated them into two separate objects. One, _dgs.runescape.error, contains the status of the last _dgs_find_applet() call, and the other, _dgs.runescape.visible.current contains the last found display mode. It became: _dgs.runescape.visible.current=0 ;~ Meant it was in fixed. _dgs.runescape.visible.current=1 ;~ Meant it was in resisable. Therefore, threads were no longer fulfilling the if _dgs.runescape.visible.current statement. Woops. Support for full-screen has been temporarily removed. This will be added again within two days. Projects Finish Find Members. As always, if you find something wrong, please follow these directions. A lot of players don't know about the hotkeys and hotstrings. Make sure you check them out here! Thanks guys!
  17. A few people may have issues with DGSweeper not working in Vista, 7, or 8. I've finally found the cause. If each time you start RuneScape through Jagex's client you have to click Yes or No in a User Account Control window, DGSweeper will not work for you! However, I've found a way around that... And no, you don't have to disable your UAC! If the above applies to you, go to Computer and search for JagexLauncher[Caution: Executable File]. Most often, it can be found at: C:\Users\Stev\jagexcache\jagexlauncher\bin Right click this file and go to Properties. From there, go to the Compatibility tab and at the bottom uncheck Run this program as administrator. Done! You can now use DGSweeper on the Jagex client on Windows Vista, 7, and 8! I saw a way to make program interact with administrator processes a few days ago, so this quick fix may not be needed in a few days. In other news: DGSweeper hasn't been working in fixed mode in the Jagex client. This will be fixed in the next update which will be when ever I can peel MageUK away from Tripsis. :P.
  18. Y'know what the real problem here is - You're soloing. :P.
  19. Will just copy what I put on their Facebook... Lol.
  20. That is actually a neat way of doing it, Meredith. The Java equivalent of the above: int number=1234567,sum=0,trimmed; while(number!=0){ sum+=(trimmed=number%10)%2==1?trimmed:0; number/=10; } System.out.println(sum); Isn't a whole lot different then yours. :P. He could, however, use Scanner in which his entire project is only a few lines: int sum=0,trimmed; Scanner number=new Scanner(System.in).useDelimiter(""); System.out.print("Enter an integer: "); while(number.hasNextInt()){sum+=(trimmed=number.nextInt())%2==1?trimmed:0;} System.out.println("The sum of the odd integers is: "+sum); Gets the input and outputs the sum. :P.
  21. Can we also have a poll on other in-game rules? ;). No but seriously - what's the big deal with flowers? So long as they have and support gambling in the game, why combat another form of it? Did people complain this much when people simply gambled at the duel arena? I realize that people can get scammed from flower hosts, but like every other area of the game, that's up to the common sense of the participant. If people want to be retards and trade 8B to a random with a rank in a FC, then that's their risk. Just like if I lend armor or weapons to a friend - that's my risk. Jagex needs to stop treating its users like 12 year olds already.
