  1. Ags would be alright-ish where dps doesn't matter but one high solid hit does - giant mole hunting. I understand the mole can/will dig halfway a claw spec which may put the drop somewhere away from where you specced it (only when the mole is at low health ofc). Note that this is basically the closest you can get to using ags specs reasonably. Not sure if it's actually the best.
  2. If a monster has very very high defence and very very low health, it may be worth using accurate. You're talking corp at 50 lp here though.
  3. Sgs specs have a low damage output compared to claws, about as much healing as an eee spec, and tiny prayer restore. They are alright for waterfiends, having a crush option, and since only a bunyip doesn't always work there, and since you are using a low-dps weapon there already you're not losing much dps. But if you're going top-end waterfiend slaying you're using a cmaul and you are losing a bit of damage from the specs, and eee + ovl is a very convenient combo. In the end you can look at places where you would use sgs as a maxed player, and that comes to no places at all. If you were maxed & slaying, you wouldn't need a healing spec. If you were bossing in any shape or form you wouldn't have the accuracy to heal well with sgs or you'd need the high damage from claws or, rarely, the defence reduction from bgs/darklight.
  4. Your woodcutting achievement dates are not updated with 160m :(.
  5. Some people like being efficient. For example I can afk monkfish, but it just feels wrong :S (except when I need strange rocks). So yeah, agility with a horn appeals to some people, just like straight-up grinding does to others. I wouldn't say that's very much an argument in what is best/fastest/most efficient to get 200m in all skills though.
  6. I just entered the top 30k of the RS hiscores. Yay . In other news I got 3-4 hours of ZMI to do tomorrow, I logged out at the banker, so I may not log on tomorrow.
  7. Actually the average with jujus is 45 or a little above inluding deaths, and you get around 150k per run from seeds. So if you are at 150k for 45 herbs + 150k for half a seed you got your 300k, and that's not even a very good run (I'd say the average is about 1-2 higher due to the no deaths at the Trollheim patch).
  8. ^4 people soloing gds will do a slower job than 4 people doing gd after gd together. Also, 3 seconds lost on a floor is 3 seconds lost for each player, hence 15 seconds total.
  9. You don't really have the prayer/summoning levels for DKS: they are best enjoyed with a unicorn and/or soul split especially with low defence.
  10. You can use gear like: Verac's helmet (full slayer helmet if on task) Fury/arcstream switch Bandos chestplate Tassets Infinity boots Barrows gloves Imbued dstone or imbued onyx or wealth Soul wars cape Staff of light/chaotic rapier switch Arcane spirit shield or dragonfire shield or blessed spirit shield Then have a dwarf cannon in your inventory, superantipoison, overloads, a few brews & super prays/restores (more brew & restore in yak), yak scrolls, sol + arcstream switch, either ice barrage or fire surge runes, hometab or similar (can use ROW tele but it's not as good as safety). You go in, pray mage with fury/rapier equipped, kill Supreme iirc, then set up the cannon. Freeze Rex with ice barrage to avoid having to safespot, though fire surge works well too (depends on what you like really). Prime will be killed by the cannon (it's a 3x3 monster so if it spawns right on the cannon you get very quick kills). You'll be hybdriding Supreme and Rex while the cannon does its job. Keep your ranged defence over 350. Since you can't soul split you'll need a brew:restore ratio of about 1:1. I'm afraid that's all I know here :???:. Not even sure on the kill order.
  11. Should add a melee section, ranged is outdated. For gear you essentially take the same as a Zamorak GWD non-tank (besides the Zamorak arrow), so Bandos/fury/dragon boots/barrows gloves/soul wars cape/Neitiznot (slayer helmet)/berserker ring/rapier (whip)/defender. Since you will have a lot more offence and defence you can afford to use rocktail over brews, which means your stats are boosted all of the time as well. If you have overloads and/or soul split it's even easier (need 3 ovls to complete the caves) as you can just bring brews and you wouldn't need much healing at all with ss. You can pray piety or turmoil all the way if you have decent enough gear (sw cape + fury is already +17 prayer).
  12. Well, if you're superheating it's a 1.8% bonus from the suit, if you're not it's 2.5%, and base LRC is around 80k/hr at 90+ with jujus/lava titan/urns. Urn xp isn't increased afaik so you're talking ~65k base xp that's increased by that percentage.

Since you want money and melee xp, you can kill stuff that has decent drops: green dragons, maybe black demons etc. The fastest melee xp can be gained by using full Dharok's (with a fire cape, soul wars works well too, or a god cloak if you don't have that) on ape atoll monkey skeletons. Living rock creatures are good too, almost as much xp, and if you mine the remains (73 mining required) you will get a few hundred k per hour (lowers your xp a bit though with Dharok's especially you can mine in between hits).
  14. 15. It's faster altaring to fill it up all the way if the burners stay lit (idk if they do, I only ever used a tort), but it's slower banking. Time how fast you can bank & determine if it's worth losing the 8% bones per trip.
  16. I'd say torstol will do 350k per run, maybe more if you merchant a little with the seeds (buy when low) and sell the herbs high. It's 5 minutes per run for about 8k xp (around 250 xp per herb pick + a few hundred for planting + compost). Jujus do not increase farming xp. Torstol is pretty good money, if you value farming xp at 10 gp/xp you're even looking at 400k+ gp/run, for as high as 4.5m/hr total. If you are not in a hurry & need money & do not value farming xp beyond 99 I would not recommend farming anything but torstol.

Strange rocks are good to fill/empty your bank if you're lazy collecting the last 2 rocks and keep 28 rocks in your bank for months. Slayer helmets are not ideal as you have to enchant them to hold scrolls.
  18. If you needed cash (raw cash, not GE wealth) then thieving might have something to offer with monkey knife fighters. They give you rune and dragon scimitars to alch, and your thieving level is low :P.
  19. Quyneax replied to Hakaan's topic in Help and Advice
I think the Nex Hunters have higher requirements than that - at least rigour, perhaps also maul required, and imbued rings or vigour, ranger's boots for sure, full Armadyl.
  20. Don't forget zombies (best use rapier/battleaxe on those, or mage) and skeletons (battleaxe again, or mage) or shades (rapier, battleaxe) or how about any forgotten mage/ranger a few tiers below max (rapier/battleaxe again) or perhaps brutes (rapier, mage) etc. etc.
  21. Definitely. More so without a cannon, but still very much with.
  22. Moved to H&A. Prot pray, use karil's crossbow, use cannon, skip high-defence tasks.

The base slayer gear is as follows (alternatives in brackets): [For all slayer monsters except those mentioned under other weapons] Chaotic rapier (whip) Bandos body + legs (Verac's skirt with either fighter torso or proselyte top) [Depending on prayer/accuracy needs] Fire cape/Soul Wars cape/Ardougne cloak 3 Barrows gloves (your best rfd gloves, at least rune) Dragon boots (rune boots) Amulet of fury (glory) Dragon defender (rune defender) Berserker ring (i)/ferocious ring if slaying in Kuradal's Dungeon (berserker ring, warrior ring) [Most important] Full slayer helmet. [For magic defence on waterfiends/aquanites] Karil's top and elite void skirt (black dragonhide body and chaps) [Crush attacks to use on waterfiends] Chaotic maul (Saradomin sword, Zamorakian spear) [stab attacks for higher-levelled dragons, when not using rapier] Korasi's sword (Zamorakian spear, leaf-bladed sword) Task-specific items such as mirror shields, antifire shields/potions, elemental shields, rock hammers, crystal chimes Cannon (optional, up to personal preference) Slayer setups generally emphasise strength bonus, which increases the average damage of each succesful hit (slayer monsters usually having rather low defence, hitting is not a problem). Secondly, prayer bonus is important to keep the cost of prayer potions down (as you slay with piety on, to increase the speed of your kills. This is cost-effective and highly recommended). As a rule of thumb, +10 prayer bonus or above is good, but don't overdo it (anything above +20 is a waste). Defence and accuracy bonus are usually not fretted over (any defence bonus over 200 will do; if you get hit too often you should be using a protection prayer). Dagganoth, black demon, black dragon, blue dragon, lesser demon, hellhound, bloodveld and spectre tasks should be cannoned, as it dramatically increases xp rates (although it costs a bit). Some notes on gear: You'll want a fury and a berserker ring before you get bandos plate, and get that before tassets. You'll want accuracy bonus on higher-levelled dragons; if using stab attacks (which you should) you can use the Ardougne cloak 3 which provides you with +6 stab and +6 prayer bonus. Torso + sw cape and fire cape + proselyte are common cheap top/cape combinations; the former is better. Some levels to get for slayer (in approximate order but I'm not sure on the summoning): 68 summoning - bunyip 81 dungeoneering (you need 2 million xp, which takes you to level 80, but allowing some tokens for the scroll of life) - rapier 89 herblore (85 with a +4 stew boost) - extreme potions, superantifires 95 prayer - turmoil and soul split 88 summoning - unicorn 96 herblore (91 with a +5 stew boost) - overload 99 summoning - steel titan I'm sure I missed something but this is most of it.
  24. Moved this to H&A, it's more of a personal question than a true long-term discussion point.
  25. As compared to what, exactly? Can you so easily condemn China for forcing people to play WoW (those bastards!)? If, say, the Americans made an al-Qaeda "terrorist" play Runescape, non-stop, without ever letting him sleep, would that be considered torture too? Would you condemn that too? Yes. Your point?
