  1. ^The method in that QFC is halfkilling tds if anyone couldn't be bothered to read. Of course per person the effigies/hr is way lower than crawlers, but you're 'buying' them with claws to break-even (charms too, of course). Not a new idea, not very simple in its execution, but it is still possible.
  2. Well, taking into account setting up wouldn't take a farm run from 5 minutes to 12, rather from 5 to 6, which puts snaps with no boosts at around 1.2m/hr + farming xp. Boosted snaps around 2.5/hr + farming xp, torstol being around 3.5m/hr + more farming xp. I can always finish a 5-patch run before the warning of the juju potion appears.

Even though a ton of 99s can be done cheap, I'd still consider doing them the faster, more expensive way to prevent boredom. For cooking, consider doing wines until you can't fail rocktail (with cooking gauntlets) then do rocktail with urns for the last bit. This is quite fast and quite cheap.
  4. Maging black demons with fire surge isn't very inefficient I think, compared to meleeing them for slayer. You're talking a ~15% loss of killrate (30% primary weapon dps lost, 60% of the kills from your cannon) and about 1k casts per hour at 130+ xp each (average hit over 200 including accuracy), costing you some 875 casts at maybe 800 gp each. About 5 gp/xp I'd say.
  5. Your magic level is good - if you get 70 rc and 95 magic you can be useful in teams. With hood, empowered fire and a surgebox you can take down warriors pretty fast, the main downside being that you will run out of casts after a few rooms. Sadly the ammo issue would make a katagon 2h the bind for you. If you're serious about dungeonering, 80 attack and high strength have priority, and high total next (1800+ I'd say, mostly herblore) just so you're not totally useless when it comes to skill tasks.
  6. Imbued fremminik rings are 10k each - yay. Some untradeables are still horribly undervalued.
  7. I think coshing in the Thieving Guild is pretty good xp, but I don't know the xp rates for chests/doors. For PP I use eee, superantipoison, sceptre. A bunyip can replace eee, if you got both you can forget the antipoison. Pyramid plunder isn't the fastest xp (that's monkey knife fighters) but I suppose you want the more relaxed xp at PP.
  8. I can afford to care about ridiculous trivialities in my slayer gear while Jimi tries to scrape together the cash for claws :P. But yeah I like gold, fine with it as is.
  9. ^That. Don't use Karil's either, you'll get shredded just as finely by the ice breath and ranged and magic get stronger. Personally I rather like them as they are fairly challenging even at high stats (not so much with a unicorn, but with a yak they are) and the crimson charms are on par with or better than those of Ancient Cavern waterfiends. If you don't have soul split I would highly recommend getting a dfs. With ee specials you shouldn't need much food at all, perhaps survive on a bunyip only (note I didn't try this, so you test it :P).
  10. What's your slayer gear? O right, torso + dfs. Since this is my blog I get to keep a list of what I need: []Steel titan []Dfs and cls for wyverns []Royale cannon []Max stats (sorta includes steel titan) Will get mage gear once I hit 93 slayer :P.
  11. Berserker ring next, then bcp/tassets/claws.
  12. I wouldn't recommend laws over csb especially with a battleaxe, which would make it easy to get an empowered fire & fire surge a lot of things. No csb would make you a lot less useful when your dps is needed (bosses, one-wayed floors). You shouldn't need an armour bind but it'll undoubtedly make it far easier to not die in certain rooms.
  13. On the other hand you'll get cleaned if you get a bad streak. No strategy will give you consistent profit ever, at least assuming you and your opponent have the same stats and switching etc. If summoning is on & your opponent isn't summoning anything, summon an iron/steel titan and kill them.

If it's at all possible, you could consider using blood barrage. I have no idea if that will hit a lot of targets though (and you seem to need melee xp more). If you're taking too much damage from magic you can consider upgrading your gear (e.g. get Karil's + spectral over black hide + bss) if you got some money. If you're not overloading yet, try that too, and use eee specials. With overloads you can use brews. Even with these added costs, I think a cannon should improve your income.
  15. You can look at it like this: Get a torso (4+ hours as you are new to the game) - use torso for 100 hours - make money for BCP at a rate of 3m/hr (6-7 hours) - never use torso again. Make money for BCP at a rate of 2m/hr (10 hours) - use BCP forever. Getting a torso is not efficient unless you're going to do ~100 hours of pure melee slaying per ~2 hours it takes you to get it (compared to a no-strength bonus plate).

Ranged would be about as fast as melee there, as most of the time is spent walking around gathering drops (the spawn rate isn't high enough to keep up so there's a lot of downtime). Luring the dragons to the cannon would reduce this. Magic I'm not so sure of.
  17. Killing 5 monsters takes, say, 50 seconds, and it'll consume prayer to make that faster. Plus that your overload will run out. 50 seconds is worth about 20k at barrows at max speed (1.5m/hr approx). That's about 50 bolt racks, or 70 death runes or so. So yeah it could be worth it, sure. But you can't use Guthans to heal for example, as that's too slow.
  18. The difference between +250 and +350 ranged defence isn't as big as the difference between +40 and +100 magic defence (or whatever the bonusus are). The mage minion does deal a lot of damage after all. The only melee body to replace Karil's top with would be torva, and even that's doubtful.
  19. If you have a large stack of charms and decent wealth, the first step would be to get a spirit terrorbird. It's pretty much 50% more bones/ashes carried per trip (allowing 4 spaces for pots etc.) which is rather good if you wish to DIY prayer. I think at that level it isn't even inefficient to DIY it (provided you're banking infernal ashes and dragon bones only). 80 ranged, 70 hp and 52 summoning would get you do level 85.
  20. Battlestaves are ~1400 profit each and you can buy 64-80 (hard/elite diary). I'm not sure on the sell price exactly but when I bought them for crafting they went at ~med (84--).
  21. Powerslaying won't profit at least until a yak and even then you're stuck doing mediocre tasks like abyssals and blue dragons. Herb farming is great to start now, a scroll of life should be peanuts considering your dg level, you can do snaps, you can get juju farming pots, that's pretty much 250k per run and it takes 5 minutes to do. MTK is a good moneymaker, daily battlestaves are ~1400 gp profit per staff you can buy (89600 gp with Varrock hard diary) and only take a minute on the way to the GE. Right now with your tank-ish stats I'd recommend slaying for strength levels (and attack). Higher stats, especially summoning, will increase future combat moneymakers and during the training you will make money from farming. Possibly the most efficient way to get high total however is to do non-buyable skills while farming (agility, rc, mining, woodcutting, hunter, thieving, fishing). These don't depend on your combats or moneymaking, but they will unlock some elite diaries and allow you to open effigies. You can use the elite diary lamps on for example summoning to get a unicorn faster (keep in mind that elite diary lamps tend to require 85+ in the stat you wish to boost). Then once you get this skilling done you'll have your farming profits to buy extremes, maybe turmoil, and you'll be able to max combat at high speed. Then you can use your high combats to make money to finish off the buyable skills and voila, max total. Not many people have the patience to do all the slow skills while relying on a moneymaker like farming though. Of course if you can (learn to) merchant all this goes out of the window and you should start as soon as humanly possible to rake in the mils :P.
  22. Are earth warriors agressive (in the chaos tunnels)? They might be OK-ish xp. Otherwise, try dungeoneering perhaps?
  23. For trees, I think it matters. For concentrated rocks, no, fishing spots, neither (I think).
  24. FSH, fury, ranger's boots, archer's ring (i), Armadyl plate+skirt, barrows gloves, soul wars cape, Karil's crossbow (+19 prayer bonus). Don't bother with chaotic, it'll only degrade for worse performance than Karil's. Pray rigour all the time, pot up (bring 3 extreme ranged pots), bring 15ish pray pots, eee, that leaves 9 spaces for food (rocktail, juju gumbo, baron shark; I wouldn't bother with brews as you don't overload). A faster (and perhaps easier) way would be to melee: FSH, fury, dragon boots, berserker ring (i), Bandos plate+tassets, soul wars cape, chaotic rapier, dragon defender (+19 prayer bonus). Pray turmoil all the time, bring 3 extreme pure sets + eee, about 13-14 ppots and the rest food again. In Bandos you get hit a lot less and with a rapier you can finish the caves in under 45 minutes. Above gear is of course not considering your budget; you can replace Armadyl with black hide and Bandos with Verac's skirt + Guthan plate/torso/proselyte plate or even Verac's brassard if you feel like it. Either way, be sure to borrow one item before you start, a fury or chestpiece is nice.
  25. A geyser would be more efficient though a steel titan would of course be by far the best. As for overloads, they don't change anything. Just bring as many overloads as you would range pots. With +22 prayer bonus something like 5 overload 22 super prayer would work.
