11-Dec-2012 - Player-Owned Ports
Why can't you max it yet? Assuming Chenw has the most scrolls anyone can reasonably have, there's still another 30 days of scrolls to get at least, if you get one per day. Personally I'm at a measly 25 scrolls with 2040 port score, leaving 55 scrolls to get, worth 165 points.

High Tier Item Access
Only if they can realistically work for it. If the top tier stuff takes over 1000 hours of grinding to obtain, IMO it's not laziness if I don't want to do it. That is a given. A good thing there are no such items. The most pointless items still are imbued rings, which take ~25 hours to obtain for .3% crit boost. Nex equipment, by comparison, takes less time typically (except torva because of drygore-based melee bias, ok) because most pieces are under 75m, many under 50m even. 2-3m/h is quite doable.

What Runescape videos attract you?
Moved to Questionnaires :). I liked to watch The Ancient's single-combat FFA Clan Wars videos, that was pre-EoC.

If you say H/c x2 in game you will be muted. (Taken from Reddit)
And these are different... how? What is the overal ratio for the game but the sum of all the players? Very simply put, each bet has the following structure: 1) You lose money, so you can participate. 2) A die is rolled, or equivalent. 3) Depending on the outcome of 2, you may gain money. On a 60x2 game (doubling if rolling over 60, with an equal distribution from 1 to 100), the average money gain is exactly 80% of your bet. The structure you describe is: 1) 100 people buy in at 1m each. 2) Dice are rolled and neatly average into 40 wins and 60 losses. 3) Enough is paid out that 20m is produced - since 100m was spent to participate, that must be 120m. 120m split amongst 40 winners, is 3m per person. They got their bet back plus twice their bet, while jay specifically said '40% chance to double your money'. The two are not equivalent.

dual, 2h, range and mage setup for max dps
Max dps: void, max crit bonus, Nex boots+gloves. For ranged, dual ccbow or 2h zaryte. Murmur amulet, pernix boots+gloves, comp cape (or ava's alerter), imbued archer's ring. For mage, dual virtus (wand+book) and 2h cstaff. Arcstream, virtus boots+gloves, comp cape (or mage arena cape), imbued seer's ring. If you can't get imbued rings, get regular or 6th age circuit. If you can't get Nex boots/gloves, any will do.

97-99 Slayer Help & Tips needed.
The idea of void top/legs is prayer bonus, which you can get with Bandos/subj/arma as well, and void has no damage boost of course. But assuming you have no problems defence-wise, there's no reason you can't slay in void skirt with gwd tops (for damage). It saves a grant total of one switch. Boots/gloves can be dragon rider for added prayer bonus as well. No slayer based D&Ds that I remember, there's your all-round xp (Tears are good too, for you) and that's about it. Edit @ below: Forgot statues :(. What kind of xp do you get, same as prayer?

Black Dragons
I was talking about tier 70 bolts (dragonstone (e) and onyx *not (e)*), since you can't get a 1h crossbow capable of firing t80 bolts with a sub 1m budget and no chaotics, which the OP seems to be. Bolt specials don't come into it.

No. You assume that bets are not eaten on win, and at the same time assume that the payout is twice the bet. That means you are effectively assuming tripling on win. 100 separate 1m bets, 40% to double and 60% to lose, means you get on average .4 * 2m + .6 * 0m = .8m. It costs 1m to buy this result, so you lose 200k on average, per bet. For the other bets jay proposed, the results are simply 74% payout (on a 10m bet, an average loss of 2.6m), 70% payout (on a 100m bet, an average loss of 30m) and the last one is 60% payout (on a 1b bet, an average loss of 400m).

Black Dragons
Since EoC and the rework of defence/accuracy, using low-end equipment is a horrible idea. That means that, out of your setup, the following items are really really really bad: Granite body Rune platelegs Sea boots 3 Rune crossbow Steel bolts Snakeskin boots Black dragonhide body Black dragonhide chaps Also unless that dragonfire shield was a ranged dfs, you were losing some accuracy from using melee equipment when ranging. Suggested replacements (assuming no Nex equipment ofc): Bandos chestplate > Verac's body Bandos tassets > Verac's skirt Bandos boots > Dragon boots Chaotic crossbow > Armadyl crossbow Royal bolts > Dragon (e) or onyx bolts Bandos boots > Dragon boots Armadyl chestplate > Royal body Armadyl chainskirt > Royal chaps Note that although dragon/onyx bolts are expensive, you don't use bolts when using abilities. That means you can theoretically do the task with just one bolt equipped, although it's safer to bring a few dozen. Only chest, legs and shield affect accuracy. That means you should try to use the same class (range/mage/melee) of those items as the weapon you are using. Boots/gloves/helmet can be used to focus your defence towards ranged, by using melee equipment (e.g. Bandos/dragon boots).

What makes your character unique?
I have the record of the longest <100 kills/claws streak in RS (8 pairs) [citation needed]. Edit: 9 pairs. (the last few kills in my sig aren't part of the streak, hence the <100 average)

Well basically it reduces any weapon to a fast speed weapon, 4 ticks iirc. So you get 80% for 5 ticks (.8*5 = 4), 66% for 6 ticks (.66*6 = 4) etc. Just killed a bunch of glacors (72 or 36 or idk, how does glacyte xp work actually? 36 kills doesn't work with the amount of charms I got (123, 41 kills), but 72 kills suggests glacytes make up 95% of the total xp, going by RSwiki rates). Either way, funtimes, but only two shards :(. 40 min trips work nicely, not too tiresome. 21 more shards for abs. DG wise a good day also, under 600k to 114 dg and got primal 2h solo as well (two in fact).

Smithing training help
A lot for runite bars, a lot less for steel. Basically depends on your coal:ore ratio.

Returning old player. Lots of Questions
You can do solo meds on Rammernaut floors, or find teams I suppose, but dg worlds aren't that active anymore. Personally I soloed most of my t11 drops (despite many hunts >.>). If you level ranged a bit, t11 shortbow is strong as well, and very worth it.

Zerker who left when EoC hit looking for advice.
Basically, max atk/str/range/mage/hp/pray/summ. Of course pray/summ are not very crucial, but ok. If you keep def low, your combat level will stay low as well, no problem. 45 def won't allow you to wear rune but it is enough for void, which is good armour for PvM. Dragon weapons have very low accuracy because weapon accuracy bonusus scale exponentially with level now. If you want to melee, get a chaotic (maul or main hand + off-hand). If you want to range, royal crossbow. For magic, chaotic staff. Low-risk alternative to chaotics are bgs/ss/zspear and staff of light/polypore.

Returning old player. Lots of Questions
Go for primal maul. Can make you a plate, sure. Idk, dags are good with Balmung now (Balmung being tier 90 or so in damage, maybe higher), master wand is probably a bit inaccurate (get abs). Yes, you want to pray switch, because Jad won't hit through protects. But SS alone does work sometimes.

Got a ragefire drop today, up to 77 shards as well. Seasinger is pretty nice, you don't need a shield at all, but I wish I had a tetsu helmet for a bit more all-round def (using neit atm). Guthix' Butterfly (yes I know it's not the real name) is good for emergency heals too, no shield rejuv please. Been working on rank 1 esteem a little, it's a huge pita (80 hours more probably). ~21800 pts, need 180k. 1.5m to 114 dg, no p2h yet, did two 3:3 large f57s but they were both hope & sagittarian top (easily soloable, even 3:3 - totally lame). Also working a tiny bit on hybrid boots/legs, champs etc. but no real progress.

Problem with combat area? wtf?
1) Possibly the task is horribly broken since the magic update. 2) Possibly you are not supposed to use autocast or the reverse. 3) Just for good measure, try an ability as well. If all that fails, it's 1).

ranged traning 97->99
Icefiends got nerfed, so unless they were recently unnerfed, don't bother.

Mage Arena problems
Have you tried magic abilities and autocast vs. manual cast?

Taskmaster Emote ???
For what it's worth, it shouldn't stop you from claiming a completionist cape. It doesn't show up as undone requirement.
