  1. Even without extremes and turmoil? Also I'd just block wyverns, they are a very slow task no matter how you look at it and they are weak to crush (The best way to kill them is with a cmaul, ss, and uni).
  2. First large dung I tried after I posted here I got a hood  , now I just need to find someone to help with a 2HS...
  3. http://www.xkcd.com/808/ If statistics were useless in predicting average outcomes (In this case drops) real companies like real casinos wouldn't be using them to make [cabbage] tons of money.
  4. This line of argument frustrates me. If I went into a medium dungeon right now and tried to rely on food and prayer alone, I'd die within ten rooms. Goodness knows how much that tactic would fail with my defence level on a large floor, although I'll confess I've never been on one, I know it's twice as large as medium. At level 76 defence, my combat stats can hardly be considered 'low' in the context of everyone who plays RuneScape (ranked 520K out of several million accounts, in the top 30% at worst). Racheya touched on this in her article a couple of weeks ago, and she was shouted down for not knowing any better, but the inconvenient truth is not everyone has 99 defence/HP, nor should they to enjoy dungeoneering without being told they 'SUCK'. Some people have to make armour to survive in dung without dying. Suck it up, go form a clan where making armour is banned. Otherwise, don't expect some stranger you've never spoken to before from w117 to conform to your exacting standards. The best tactics in dung expect that you are maxed, or nearly maxed cb or melees, and that's why people don't take lower levels into teams: because their needs slow down the whole team. Also
  5. Wouldn't bone crusher mean that the skeles don't respawn in ape atoll dungeon? And do rock lobbies drop bones? Either way, even for monsters with a high drop rate of big bones it basically cuts your pp cost in half while severely decreasing offensive stats.
  6. Dang. Isn't that a good thing? I mean the herbs used as seconds are worth more than the super pots, whereas the torstol making ovls saved is probably worth more than all 5 of the extremes as well; inconsistent but pragmatic. But it also means (most likely) if you make an Overload, you save a torstol instead of an extreme set. Overload: Estimated Value at 21727 as sum of all extreme potions Torstol: GE Mid Value: 48800 So if 21727 is the worth of an extreme set, I'd rather save a torstol. All values taken from Grimy's Herblore Spreadsheets

  8. It will depend on what this means: more than one prayer that boosts one stat or one prayer that boosts many stats. If it's the latter then it won't work with turmoil period, and considering the choice of the word on as opposed to with I'd say that's the case.
  9. Better stats is about the only added boon to it. Apprently the demon horn one has an epic prayer bonus Mmm, yeah the prayer bonus would probably be the only reason to get it. I'm not sure +8 to pray is worth missing out on all the other bonuses a fury gives, esp. considering sw cape + fury and maybe one piece of pray armor (Or full bandos) gives all the pray bonus you really need.
  10. Honestly, there's nothing in this update that makes me want to reach warped floors, still just going to get 85 and then flat out stop like before; none of the rewards are even contenders compared to current items, much less replacements. EDIT: And from the looks of things maybe they should've released on friday, the cape doesn't work and the floors are buggy as hell.
  11. What specifically do you pvm? Unless you do Bandos or TD's constantly (Especially with a divine as mentioned) a maul is still (Currently) the better choice.
  12. Walked through ice mountain to get to Catherby, got 40 fishing, then camped at lobbies for days selling them to the general store there.
  13. Don't know about the first two, but powermining granite is faster though far more intense than concentrated coal so yes do granite till 77 or even 80; and yeah keep blackjacking the highest you can till 91 when PP becomes a viable alternative.
  14. I was wondering this too, I was c6 med soloing f35 for at least 4 hours today and only saw one spider (No hood ofc). You think I'd have better luck just going in large groups to get more of them or just keep up with the soloing?
  15. Because poisoned items are tied to the prices of the base item and the poison, so it's these two components that are being bought not the arrows themselves which are well known to be junk.
  16. Bank update looks awesome, new quest and dung are good but nothing compares to speeding up the banking process :P .
  17. Well from a quick glance at this page it doesn't look like there's a known penalty for having less people per floor, personally I would just do a test of 2 sequential floors and see roughly the difference in exp; it's not perfect but it'll give you a good starting reference.
  18. Here: http://runescape.wikia.com/wiki/Game_updates If you have some spare time just look at the years you've been gone and read the updates that sound interesting.
  19. Whenever Jagex has changed drop rates they've always increased the chances of getting a rare/unique drop, never have they been decreased. I'm sure you're just having a bad luck streak.
  20. There's something on the wall of the Poison Arrow Pub (The one with the squirrel) that resembles a dragon xbow, insofar that what appears to be thexbow limbs are red.
  21. People just make that (Correct) generalization around on the threads, but I haven't seen any specific formulas for it here on TIF. I think people recommend around 15-20 prayer bonus, and trying to add anything else over equipment that boosts offensive stats is a waste.
  22. About the only task that's "worth maging" over just meleeing is ice strykewyrms (And even then it's pretty close), and as for spell I'd do highest wave spell (Surge maybe) not CoG.
  23. Double click are 2 clicks, therefore 2 inputs/outputs. But as you can see at the wiki linked at this page, jagex allows you using that + button because it is a standard and otherwise they would have to ban the whole mousekeys. Double click counts as one action/input in java, so no worries.
  24. At those levels it doesn't matter much, but once you reach round 70 melee stats training with a whip on controlled is the fastest way to train (Outside of chaotic weaponry). You don't really have optimal levels for pures, and they really don't do that well in pvp anymore except against other pures, I'd just focus on getting melees to 70 and working from there.
