  1. FINALLY! after countless days camping various scroll droppers over the years I get my first Champion Scroll! \ : [hide=Champion Scroll] [/hide]
  2. yep  It changes every day. So someday it might be profit. The trade off isn't that bad, you do pick 3 of the 5 which in the end is around .99 gp per rp. I'm also not sure if the spoils change each day or each game. Would be worth a look. Unspamify: :ohnoes:
  3. Just a little picture of my banked head collection with some fresh new KBD Heads (#2)
  4. My quest kit came with the items included. You can open it and check what is inside it. When an item is removed from the kit its icon in the kit menu becomes faded. You CANNOT store your own items in it, I tried. It refills when you complete a game of Mobilising Armies, just like how the locators recharge after a game.
  5. I'd love to see a handful new weapon types Such as... Hand Cannons Katanas Macuahuitl (it's an Aztec weapon made from wood with obsidian blades) some GOOD clubs Higher grade blackjacks Blowguns Boomerangs Slings Something like a Roman Scissor (would make a cool slayer drop) And who could say no to a trident? Mmmm, weapons... =P~
  6. I gained 10% EP every 30 minutes in a cold zone. Spent 90 minutes on the roof of Troll Stronghold by My Arm and went from 9% to 19% to 29% to 39% EP so that 1% EP isn't correct. Also it has been stated a target kill in BH adds 1 hour of hotzone EP to what you currently have and uses the entire 1 hour worth on that kill. So for example you killed your target and had 100% EP, and lost 30% EP from the drop. You would gain loot worth 80% EP even though the extra hour's worth was never displayed.
  7. Once more get pumped into circulation from farmers they might be useful. Fletching potions use a stackable secondary ingredient and the potion gives 132 XP. Fletching potions are the only potions in the game with a stackable secondary. This could save some banking and extra clicks. Oh, and wimpy feathers are easy as pie to get, they just take a bit more effort than normal birds but still easy enough to get several hundred feathers in decent time. I'd also like to point out I'm not counting herb tar as potions with stackable secondaries. Yes, the swamp tar stacks but you do use 15 of it for 1 herb and get 72.5 XP max.
  8. I think I just found my "evil" look.
  9. In case anyone has yet to see the updated Khazard I managed to get a couple pictures of him. He finally fits in with the more recent look of the Mahjarrat. Only a matter of time before Hazeel Cult and Hazeel get updated. ;) Normal General Khazard Khazard during the fight of Fight Arena Yea I really want to do this quest again after seeing General Khazard grow into a giant and using his 2h sword like a short sword. I'd also like to be the first to say I would KILL for his completely awesome looking armor and cape!
  10. New General Khazard makes me wish I could do the Fight Arena again Yes he actually grows into a giant General Khazard now.
  11. I've seen 3 so far. The one at Catherby, one at the shipyard, and one in Port Sarim. The Red Raktuber flies at midnight...
  12. Just reached the 25% mark! Also thought this was interesting while I wandered the desert... I'd love a water cape, darn those NPCs and their fancy outfits!
  13. I feel like posting the list of known gods from my years of playing and reading of RS lore and quests. If you think I missed anything let me know. [hide=List of the known gods and some info]The gods: Guthix - god of nature and balance, did NOT create the world but rather breathed life into it. He brought modern humans into the world from a more crowded and more technology-based dimension. Saradomin - god of order Zamorak - god of chaos, he backstabbed his leader Zaros and ascended to godhood Bandos - god of war Armadyl - god of law and the skies Seren - goddess of the elves, all crystal stems from her very body Marimbo - god of monkeys Tumeken - god of the sun Elidinis - goddess of water and fertility or growth in general Icthlarin - god of the spiritual aspects of death and also rebirth and the afterlife. Brought the Mahjarrat with him to help in his rituals of the afterlife. Amascut - goddess of the physical aspects of death (she is essentially the grim reaper), now corrupt and addicted to destruction Scabaras - god of clarity and knowledge through meditation, he too has since become corrupt Crondis - goddess of physical pleasures such as hunting and cooking Het - god of health both in body and mind Apmeken - god of mental pleasures Jas - an elder god, not much is known at this time. He is believed to have created the Stone of Jas, the source of all magic in RuneScape. Zaros - "The Empty Lord", not much is known about his reign. He originally ruled from Morytania and was defeated at least once by Icthlarin before destroying much of the lush forests and cities that used to flourish in what is now the Kharidian Desert. Currently banished and weakened although rumors spread of his return. Some Mahjarrat are believed to have followed him during the same time Icthlarin had Mahjarrat under his control. As any quester would know, our characters have met some of these deities face-to-face and some more in cutscenes. To date we have met, or at least seen an NPC of, the following deities: Icthlarin (face-to-face, his examine is incorrect, he is not a demigod as confirmed by recent quests) Amascut (face-to-face, better known to the slayers out there as Sumona) Guthix (cutscene, human form) Tumeken (his shadow) Het, Apmeken, Crondis, and Scabaras (an incredibly weak version of one is fought during Icthlarin's Little Helper, examines are incorrect once again) It can also be argued we have seen Saradomin, Zamorak, and Guthix (in a nature form, looks like an old detail moss giant) during the mime random event although that has never been confirmed. They do look an awful lot like them though. Zamorak and Saradomin statues are on the log in page in standard detail.[/hide] As for my favorites, as I can't pick just one, I would have to go with the Desert Pantheon. Their history is rich and they are actually the only ones we have been able to directly interact with. The only god to come close to that was Bandos but that was just a lousy avatar.
  14. I'm loving how they are taking Zanaris from that cave and grotto look to more of an enchanted forest. That dense forest wall really can add a lot to an area. Not sure how I am on the fairies themselves, I could have sworn they said they weren't going with the "insect look". Oh and about quests, this graphics update is to prepare for Fairy Tale 3, the very first diary mentions that as the reason for the update so I wouldn't knock it as nothing but a graphics update just yet.
  15. I asked that too... :( Being the person that discovered this whole thing I think I can shed some light on just why someone would kick it there. There were NO hints and I cannot stress that enough, I didn't even expect anything for getting to Oo'glog. I first tried to see how far a cabbage could go after seeing Mod Ash post on the RSOF that the cabbages could be kicked pretty far from Draynor, and that was what got me started. Anyways, the journey of the first cabbage and discovery of Brassica Prime: [hide=The great cabbage discovery] Thought first to see if I could kick it up through Falador but then figured that was too easy. Decided to cross White Wolf Mountain and get it all the way to Seers. After a run in with some noob in Catherby I figured I should kick it south down to Ardougne. Made it there, continued to kick south past the Tower of Life, really for no reason other than to see how far it could go. Got to Yanille and decided to go as far south as possible, might as well, made it that far. Entered the hunter area easy enough and made up my mind, Oo'glog charter ship would be my destination, I would take screenshots and then go brag about it. Lined up my kick, shot the cabbage into Oo'glog and Brassica Prime showed up, my jaw dropped. Posted on the RSOF I found Brassica Prime by kicking all the way to Oo'glog, people called me a liar and I was pranking them. A few people showed up, saw I actually had a cabbage there but there was no Brassica Prime, some called me a liar as if I made that part up. Mod Hulme showed up briefly and said "Try another cabbage." A couple of the people there decided to try for themselves, they believed me. Mod Ash PMed me saying how shocked the staff was that I found it so fast. Even thought I may have been a Jmod's normal account. I'm not. A few nonbelievers set out to do it and prove me wrong, I was banned from the cabbage kicking clan chat. One hour and about 50 minutes later, cabbage #2 made it into Oo'glog and the rest is history![/hide] So really was just someone that wanted to push cabbage to its limits and stumbled across a well hidden secret. All an accident. Cabbage! The RSOF thread that started it all, page 8 is the discovery. And if anyone is wondering what Mod Ash's post originally said at the bottom of page 8, it said "I just heard one of the developers just made it over White Wolf Mountain!" Hope that answered any questions. Now go honor Brassica Prime, he's only here a week.
  16. I did it before it was cool, at 9:15 AM Eastern time. 8-) [hide=Brassica Prime][/hide] [hide=The mod messages that followed] [/hide]
  17. Figured I would finally post my Brassica Prime sighting, the first in RuneScape. Don't believe me? Well you can ask around. 8-)
  18. Now correct me if I'm wrong but weren't the Sir Amik, monkey, and the boss parts of RFD classed as "Master"? I just checked the KB and to my surprise the three subquests that required Master level quests to do are now classed as Experienced. An oversight? Or a peek at a quest class rework? :-k A Little Note: Any quest that requires a certain quest automatically is classed at or above that difficulty level no matter how hard or long the actual quest is. A good example (pretty much the only Master level example) would be Catapult Construction, it is only Master level because of its quest requirements. The general quest difficulty class it gets is based on the quest requirements, skill requirements, actual challenge, and length. A quest can get classed as Master with only one of those, again a great example being Catapult Construction. Its listed skill requirements were low, difficulty was easy, and length was short; however because it required Regicide that was all it needed to be a Master quest. I look forward to future Special quests as those benefit everyone, no matter what level. And about the quest meant to be 150, The Chaos Elemental mentioned dead Mahjarrat, shadows shifting, and something to open its empty, unblinking eye. Now the Chaos Elemental hinted updates usually come within the year and usually within 6 months from when the letter went up. It is obvious the update he hints at is Paul's quest about the Mahjarrat and "The Big Z" better known to his followers as the Empty Lord or simply known as Zaros. If I remember correctly, "The Big Z" was thrown around in speculation of the 150th quest and the Jmods were eager to tease. We got Zanik, Mod Mark H mentioned his hints could be red herrings but could it have been The Chosen Commander that was the real red herring? Put out as 150 not only to celebrate the end of a long running series but to throw us off and making us think "The Big Z" was talking about Zanik? Could it be they want to surprise us with Zaros, catch us when we never see it coming? Clever Mods... =D> Or maybe I'm just crazy...
  19. [hide=Another Little Quest Spoiler]I just did my in game skill guide check after an update and what did I find? Zanik's Crossbow under the ranged guide, crossbows section, it's not on the GE so I'm guessing it's untradable. Can use bolts up to adamant and requires 48 Ranged.[/hide]

 FYI: Raktuber is about 50 days away from today? --> http://www.runescape.com/kbase/viewarticle.ws?article_id=452 Or precisely: Between the 109th day and the 146th day of the runescapian calender (which is just like the Earth calender, but only 10 months. Tomorrow would be the 17th of March, or (31+28+17) = 76th day fo the year? It's either not for a while, or i've just done some unnessecary maths -.- "Thats not where Bandos is"...? Haven't people been mentioning that Zanik isn't IN the box but like inbetween, sideways, upways, lengthways and all sorts of ways. That kind of fits. "old chum, old temple, old plots, old power." - The Chum is quite possibly you as a player. Or H.A.M (whatever happened to them anyway?) - Temple is the ancient goblin temple? Or GWD 'temple' - The plot? Something old and destined? Zanik is the 'chosen commander' after all. - Power? Closely linked to the above I presume, thats all Gods want these days.... Penultimate Goblin quest (Land of the goblins) was released November 2007, so it was due. And i'd like to clarify, I always thought the 150th would be the Goblin one. : I do agree with you, that when I read the post bag for the CE, this segment was thought to imply hints about the goblin quest, however someone was wrong, so we now know 1 of 2 things. 1) The postbag was originally meant to hint at the goblin quest occurring in Raktuber, however at the desire to have an "epic" quest for #150, Jagex bumped the date ahead, and thus the CE postbag is now incorrect. OR 2) The Postbag was hinting at a totally different idea for a different quest, and the goblin storyline was just mistaken for it. Bandos could simply be a symbol of war, and goblins have no relation to the post bag's hints at all. Either way, once the quest is released, I think we might get a few more hints on what the postbag is implying, if anything at all. [/hide] The way I read the postbag was that in Raktuber there would be something with a white bird, possibly albatross (Pirate Quest Storyline), but that's NOT where Bandos is. So the way I saw it they never said the Bandos quest was in Raktuber but rather that's when it isn't. Also, unless they can the holiday event quests the Bandos quest can't come out in Raktuber as there would be the Easter quest and event very early in April, before Raktuber even rolls around. My ideas about the postbag: "That's not where Bandos is" could very well mean the Bandos quest is not in Raktuber. Which would put it for this month as it can't be later unless they stop the holiday quests. The quest/update for Raktuber that was mentioned would be "A white bird, as the etymology of ornithology goes." which I believe is referring to an albatross, which just happens to be the name of Rabid Jack's ship. A sequel to Rocking Out (which makes it a Master level quest)?
  21. To me it looks like one of the "pinned up" hairstyles, trimmed wizard robes, and an artist's rendition of a machete seeing as you can use a machete OR an axe to chop roots, with the topaz machete being better than a rune axe. The mystic in Triple Trouble hardly looks anything like actual mystic but everyone assumes it's mystic. Same thing for the barrows wallpaper, if they didn't actually say it was the barrows brothers I wonder how many people would be like "OMG NEW BARROWZ R COMMINGS I HAS PROOF!!!!11!1" That doesn't mean the Eastern Lands won't be coming, just that I don't think this wallpaper has anything to do with it. If you want hints of the Eastern Lands then talk to the ghost sailors and such in Port Phasmatys, read about the hairstyles in the December BTS, and talk about the cyclopes in the Warriors' Guild and zoo.
  22. Short list of some of the games I've beaten to (or past) 100% Donkey Kong Country - 101% Donkey Kong Country 2 - 102% Donkey Kong Country 3 - 103% Pikmin 2 Banjo-Kazooie Super Mario 3 (SNES and GBA versions) - MAX score and everything Metroid Zero Mission - under 2 hours on hard 100% Metroid Fusion - under 2 hours on hard 100% Metroid Prime and Metroid Prime 2: Echoes Cubivore Yoshi's Story and probably several more I can't remember from years ago.
  23. The last handful of games I bought were C&C Red Alert 3 Premier Edition, Spore Galactic Edition, and Spore Creepy & Cute. A few days ago I took a trip down memory lane and got some old Apogee Software freeware games from the MS-DOS era like Bio Menace and Alien Carnage (also called Halloween Harry). As for what I'm playing now, mainly Spore, have been making a variety of RuneScape themed creations. *points to avatar*
  24. [hide=Notable Q&A] [/hide] I can't help but get a good feeling about some of those answers! Paul on a huge Mahjarrat quest, quite possibly the return of Zaros and the background of King Vargas of Miscellania revealed this year. For those who don't know, Vargas used to be a human then he traveled north to the icelands and returned a hideous Yeti. Perhaps we may see the icelands of Archeon this year? Or maybe it will just be a weak quest or not even a quest at all and just Postbag or part of the Lores. Only time will tell, but I'm hoping for something nice from all this. Dragon Pickaxe, glad to see that hasn't been forgotten. The Achievement set effect does sound nice but makes you wonder, what will they do when they make a part for each slot. There are more areas than we have equipment slots and I'd hate to see them end just because there are no more slots. As for Wilderness, Keldagrim, and Morytania being 100% proven diaries for the future, that's not true, the KB only mentions them to help give an introduction to RuneScapes varied landscapes and the actual diaries. However, I do think a Wilderness diary and a Morytania diary would work quite nicely, not so much for a Keldagrim one though as it's just a city. Falador and Varrock had tasks outside the city and in the large general area around them, Keldagrim is a city and a mine not much to go on there. Maybe if they expanded it with Rise of the Red Axe 3... The last quest Paul Gower worked on was While Guthix Sleeps as a secondary developer, his last quest as lead developer was Defender of Varrock. I have high hopes for his next one.
  25. I noticed you listed the security guard and evil chicken as "Historic Events" or otherwise discontinued. This is not true, these two still exist just not as random events. You could consider them as casual encounters. The Security Guard, like the dwarf, wanders RuneScape and gives out Security Books to anyone that talks to him. The Evil Chicken can be found on occasion at various chicken farms trying to raise an army, fortunately for us the chickens aren't that bright and the Evil Chicken can never form a disciplined force. I apologize for not having pictures of these but you can check them for yourself if you want to confirm it. I saw the Security Guard and Drunken Dwarf while chopping an Evil Tree and they soon teleported in a puff of smoke after speaking to them. I saw the Evil Chicken trying to form an army at the Champions' Guild chickens while I was on a bush run. I will try to get pictures if I can spot them again.
