Oh, I never saw it that way. I guess that's true. It seems like we intentionally separate ourselves from each other instead of working together to form solidarity as one human race. Maybe wars caused by differences in religion and other prejudice could be avoided if we didn't label each other as Republicans/Democrats/Christians/Atheists/Muslims/Jews then we could just be human to each other to attain some sort of mutual respect for one another. I think that's really what all religions (including atheism) really boil down to in their core beliefs. When we label each other as different, be it by race, creed, gender, or political affiliation, we lose that true meaning when it has to become a competition of who's right and who's wrong. This is effort that could be used to solve the world's problems like child labor in Asia, starvation in Africa, lack of strong education for the poor (thus, keeping them poor), and war in general.

I can't tell if I'm being trolled now or not so I'll refrain from continuing so I don't look stupid for taking the bait. If you want to participate in an intelligent discussion, feel free to discuss what I had to say in my first post. If not, I'll assume you're a troll and ignore you.
  3. Hamtaro replied to L2Ski's topic in Off-Topic
So you're saying that since you can't refute anything that I said with reliable evidence, you claim my statements are: -Flamebait -Trollish -Fallacious -Not intelligent I should try that sometime. With an elitist attitude, I can make myself believe that I am better than anyone who disagrees with me without having to refute anything. That would make this a lot easier, actually. Give me a chance to try it on you and watch as you say the same thing as I.
  4. Hamtaro replied to L2Ski's topic in Off-Topic
@sephiroth_king Huh? The only sarcastic part was the second paragraph. Instead of addressing what I had to say, you call me a troll or my post flamebait. What is that called... an ad hominem attack?
  5. Hamtaro replied to L2Ski's topic in Off-Topic
Nice to see you missed the inb4. It's cute that you think someone with different beliefs than you is a troll. "Tolerance" at its finest...

The Bible told us all we need to know about our creation so we shouldn't be wasting money on studying the myth of evolution. My pastor told our congregation of how the Bible proves GOD's existence of when he prayed to GOD and received an answer. Maybe if you guys had faith in the Lord GOD he would give his grace to you. I also know a popular argument of you guys is some non sense about dinosaurs (and you say we believe in fairy tales... LOL). The thing is, the devil put dinosaur bones in the Earth to test our faith in GOD because the Bible already told us that that can't be true. If we truly had faith in the Lord, then we would know that the fossils means nothing, yet some of y'all decide to display them in one of them atheist ("science") museums. I also find it ironic about that Darwin fellow. He had his cute little THEORIES about natural selection and all that garbage and made a hypothesis about the bottleneck effect. What island of inbreeders did he come from? And on this island of inbreds, what is the dominant (lack of) religion? Atheism. What a shock  inb4someone doesn't pick up on the massive sarcasm

@Nenga Rob, but since you had to ask, you probably could have fit the profile too. @Sarge You comprehend so well. Oh wait... @foursideking I'm so offended coming from you. No wait this is off-topic
  8. Hamtaro replied to Leoo's topic in Off-Topic
Someone completely missed the point. Edit: You don't seem too bright so I'll make it easy for you:

Really? I just read some other posts here and assumed the whole point of the thread was making things up and being stupid. Thought my posts would have fit in, but I guess nothing can satisfy you guys. yeah but your hulking posts just couldn't fit in to this thread. I understand you're new, and inexperienced with all this, but you got warm up a bit, get into the mood before just diving head first. I mean...I was looking for something short and sweet, and you whipped out a loaf of bread. Didn't even use punctuation. I'd have thought health class would have taught you better... ...alright I'm trying to hard now. Yeah I must be new after being here for the past two years. My choosing to lurk instead of spamming to a high post count does not make me "new." I know one of you will say I'm new compared to you since you've been here since 2002 or some year you made up like that, but I wouldn't consider two years (or a low post count) to be new. And as demonstrated by the responses here, I'm really not at all surprised that most new members (inb4asking for proof after you harassed someone you thought was new) leave after a month or so. This post count spamming thing is kind of fun, though.

Please get a proper grasp of English syntax. Please just do it. Then we'll read your posts. This isn't elitism. It's just that your post lacks any punctuation, which is inexcusable on a forum. I doubt you'd pass any English course. Really? I just read some other posts here and assumed the whole point of the thread was making things up and being stupid. Thought my posts would have fit in, but I guess nothing can satisfy you guys.

you guys comment about my post when you dont even read it which just seems like youre trying to add to your post count and in addition even the kids that did read it didnt actually give any of the advice that i asked for in the end so it leads me to believe that you guys are either just trying to be rude or just not very helper but im guessing you will just criticize me for how i write because you arent intelligent enough to understand it but whatever its not my fault if you want to be mean for no good reason other than to try to make yourself feel better than everyone else because of your egos that im assuming you have based on the rude posts you made and another thing that makes me mad is that someone posted a picture but when i do that the post gets hidden but of course no action is taken against the guy who spammed his way as seen following my post to a high post count which is really just another e penor for you guys to flash on this website in particular as if it matters when it actually doesnt and if you actually cared about this community then you would only post when you were actually contributing but no instead of posting nothing which would have been better you post useless spam but thanks guys im sure you left a good impression on anyone new to the site that was browsing off topic im sure they will want to join now :-$

alright so today i woke up but something just wasnt right and i had a feeling that something was just plain wrong so it caused me to get out of bed in a panic and no one was home which i could tell because there wasnt breakfast on the table like there normally would be and i got a little scared until i found a note on the table which told me that my family had gone on a trip from today until sunday which i thought was strange considering they hadnt told me anything in advance but i just shrugged it off and went to go wait for the bus like i normally do at the normal time in fact it was earlier than i normally arrived so i know i wasnt late but none of the other students were there and when i thought about it i hadnt seen any cars all morning but anyway since i was still early according to my watch i started to walk to school and began to think id be late but when i checked my watch about halfway there i noticed that the watch still read 7:15 so i was panicking a little bit as most people would and i started to run home but on my way home HE was there blocking my path and i was so scared because i had heard of this slender man guy before but i had just thought someone was making him up so i tried to start running away from him but like all the other accounts tell i couldnt and in fact i started walking toward him against my will but during this time he was like talking to me through my mind or something because he doesnt have any facial features or anything so he starts telling me that i look delicious and while it may be true i had to tell him that he was just a creepy old stalker with no friends and he lost his mental grip on me when he started to do what sounded like crying and he started telling me how he hates coming to earth to have to harvest human organs for his dimension but that he does it so he can simply keep his family alive you know so i went over on my own to comfort him and he back stabs me and sure enough i wake up in some crazy dimension where i am just freaking out because it was like nothing i had ever seen before with floating creatures and buildings that like changed on their own so i started to hide somewhere but sure enough the whole damn building moves and some weird looking wolf guard type thing sees me (keep in mind he is like 8"9') and starts to chase me down so i started running faster than him al lthe way to some cliff which i had no choice but to jump and he foolishly followed me but fell whereas i succeeded in crossing safely but it was just my luck that this side of the canyon was inhabited by one being who had some crazy pyramid like head and as soon as he saw me all of the physics around me started to change so it seemed like everything was changing colors and melting until he grabbed me and started cutting me open in the shape of an X and then a circle around it but as soon as he did that slender man himself comes flying out of nowhere and starts beating pyramid head up and the only thing i was thinking was wtf is going on his he like mentally tells me that i was the only one who had ever understood how he feels because i had been comforting him and stuff so in return he decides to save me which i thought was awesome but pyramid head guy had a few tricks up his sleeves where he was able to trip slender man and just as i thought slender man was about to die out of the canyon comes cthulu himself he grabs pyramid head guy and just eats him like a snack and i was really scared when he kind of nodded at slender man as if they had some sort of understanding which was pretty cool and he went back in the ocean as slender man approached me and helped me up and even after all this he heals me up and decides to bring me back to earth and i look down at my watch and it's 7:16 when my friend alex shows up at the bus stop and i start telling him what had happened all the way from the bus stop to school but we had class so i had to wait and i finished telling him at lunch and he didnt believe me so i had to defend my honor and got in my first fist fight with anyone and i ended up winning but i want to make things up with him tomorrow now. do you guys have any ideas of how to makes things up with him?

ok so i woke up this morning and it was just a normal day at first you know nothing unusual was going on while i was eating my wheaties and drinking my orange juice but all of the sudden i noticed that the bus that i take to get to school started to leave without me so i ran out the door to try and catch it but i didn't succeed but thankfully there was some nice man willing to drive me in his car so i could get to school on time but instead he started driving in the other direction and i was wondering exactly what was going on so when i asked him he didn't reply until we got to the inner city of detroit where he had to meet with a supposed friend of his to pick up some brown paper bags that he could easily obtain at the grocery store but anyway after this he told me to get out of the car at some warehouse which we went inside to and after this we met with another one of his friends who gave him a briefcase of money but i couldn't understand what the other guy was saying because he sounded russian and all of the sudden the guy left me with the russian guy and i asked him if he would drive me home seeing as i was already late for class anyway might as well take a free day and he originally said yes but then we met with a friend of his at the docks and we started crossing the river into canada and i was wondering how we would do this considering i didn't have my pass port which you need to go to another country but anyway he started driving in canada to the coast which took a few days but we stopped at fast food restaurants often which was good i guess but once we got to the atlantic ocean we got on an even larger ship and once i got in my room i'm pretty sure that i passed out but i can't remember anything after that until i woke up in some foreign country but no one here speaks english and anyway i noticed there was a scar on my stomach when i woke up in the street so im pretty sure that im missing a kidney now because of this and all i got was a few burgers out of it while missing a few days of school which seems like a pretty sweet deal to me. anyway after this i woke up and realized i just had the best dream ever and that my life is bro.
  14. Being from the Detroit area, my dad has heard this on the radio on his commute home. First time I ever laughed during one of his lectures (not about the whole sex with a 13 year old thing, but RS dating). "You better not be marrying any little girls or creepy pedophiles on that RuneScape game you play." How could you not laugh? His charlatanry is hilarious with politics and whatnot, but this just takes the cake... I think it will be interesting to see Jagex's reaction to this whole situation. Maybe they'll actually crackdown on the no dating rule. Although F2P may be nearly empty if they do choose to do so.
  15. To put it simply, jealousy. [spoiler=Image]
  16. I don't know enough about gun control in Canada to make a strong reply, but I'll try. Since the % of households in my town that owns guns is barely under 2%, no one feels the need to own a gun. Is this kind of like Canada (other than the difference of legality)? Places in the South and big cities where the number is (I'm guessing) well over half, it might be a bit more necessary. If it was realistically possible to remove all guns from the country, I would support it. The problem would be that rednecks would assume the government would be trying to take over or something stupid like that. As long as guns do exist, it is necessary for some people to own them. Otherwise, [bleep] guns. Personally speaking, I hate guns and would never want to own one.
  17. "Good people do not need laws to tell them to act responsibly, while bad people will find a way around the laws." - Plato ^Pretty much sums up my thoughts on the issue. Even if guns are outlawed, criminals will still be able to obtain them... just normal citizens won't be able to defend themselves or their families (at least so effectively). Or maybe the baseball bat under your bed will scare the burglar off as he's pointing his revolver at you [/sarcasm]. I would consider my family to be "good people," and even if we owned guns (we don't) I'm positive we would only use them in dire situations. My town has one of the lowest gun crime rates (for populations of 100,000+) in the Midwest, so owning a gun here would be kind of pointless. If I lived in the actual city of Detroit, that would be a different story.
  18. inb4everyone still uses GE for all trades except rares/new items I voted yes btw... multiple times.
  19. I remember the rage directed at Miniclip kids... from the other perspective... I was like 9 3/4 years old when I started playing and I had my favorite cartoon as my username. To this day, the only individuals who remain on my ignore list are the ones who insulted me/my name back in RSC. All of them have quit, but it's more the principle of making a child cry that I'm not so fond of. Oh well, I'm 16 now and I'm the only one of all my irl friends who still plays (besides my brother) .
  20. Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't 2009 the "year of improvements" or something along that line? It logically wouldn't make sense to talk about an update released years prior just because it was changed ever so slightly.
  21. I remember when Construction came out. It was actually the first time I was online for a system update. I panicked when I saw the system update message, so I logged out and went to the home page (which wouldn't load). 20 or so minutes later, it finally loaded and I shouted to my brother downstairs who was playing Halo 2. He promptly kicked me off our then shared computer for the rest of the day  . 2006 was the best year for RuneScape, imo.
  22. This is continued from: The First Four Years [2001-2004] http://services.runescape.com/m=devblog/view_post.ws?post_id=112 I've been playing since two weeks before RS2's public release and I remember each of these things as they happened. I have to say that I am thoroughly impressed by the direction that RuneScape has come ever since I first saw it on MiniClip all those years ago. Here's to 10 more years
  23. QFT. I voted C, though. So many people have returned including four of my old friends whom I haven't spoken to in almost three years. I don't like how the poll was done, but I am enjoying its effects so far.
  24. No, but in all seriousness, soccer is my favorite sport. I don't think many Americans take it seriously because everyone (at least where I live) plays it as a kid, usually until high school. They see it as a wimpy game because even non-athletes like me could give them a run for their money (on defense, at least). I would support a name change but it would only make hardcore American football fans hate soccer more, which is the last thing we need. This is coming from a fan of hockey, soccer, AND American football. The only sports I hate are ones that happen to begin with the letter "B".
  25. It's not made of stone though, it's made of onyx. The enchantment on the ring is what gives the ring its name. Worse still, if this onyx ring gave defense bonuses comparable to other stone armor we have--namely granite--would you call it even superior to a Warrior Ring? Or even a Diamond Ring (i)? Most likely not, especially considering the price tag for it. The biggest hindrance to changing this ring is the materials used to make it. Putting effort into reworking this item, like they had with the Regen Brace, seems like wasted effort. I could even have a problem understanding whether or not a graphical update would be sensible, since the old mining rock style is still around as decoration. Not to go too off-topic, but RS isn't exactly meant to be realistic. Just think: Magic, firemaking with a box, and the quest Perils of Ice Mountain, none of which occur in our world. Furthermore, as with our current rings, they aren't directly hit, and are, at the same time, enchanted magically to hold properties it wouldn't normally have had. This seems perfect to me. Off-topic: Your firemaking-in-a-box logic is flawed. Back before matches or lighters people actually used what's called 'flint and steel', in which they would keep pieces of charred cloth and frayed rope/birch bark in a tiny box, along with a piece of steel (which resembles brass knuckles) and a piece of flint stone. It took skill and precision but, striking the steel against the flint stone whilst thumbing a piece of charred cloth, would create a spark which would catch on the cloth and then be able to be turned into fire. On-topic: This ring needs an update. I remember buying them when they first came out, in hopes an update would come so I could merch them. Hahah, 6+ years later... I honestly can't tell if this is even a serious post. It's almost as if you're trying to argue over something so stupid, you just want attention. Anyone with the reading comprehension of a 12 year old could, quite clearly, understand the meaning of my post without feeling the need to pointlessly flame over an over-analysis of a phrase I said. You know the thread, "What happened to this community?" This is the kind of horrible post it's addressing. Lurk more. Please, feel free to show me a fire being lit purely by dropping the contents of a box onto firewood. Hmg not possible? Better over analyze this post too! My "logic" that I supposedly need to deduce common sense must be flawed[/sarcasm].
