  1. Kathy is actually working with Timbo on the Jagex Cups, and has been very helpful collaborating with the clan leaders. She's probably just stressed because of yet another overwhelmingly negative reaction to a Jagex update. Defenses aside, this latest update has just turned me off to the RSOF, I'll still keep up with the Clan Leader forum, but the rest it seems Tip.it tops everything now, including the RSOF.
  2. I seem to regularly die to the Geomancer once or twice. It just seems that no matter what ranging armour I make it shows little to no difference in deflecting his attacks. It also frustrates me when I've been to every room and no sign of a stat restore potion ingredient when I have the Unholy Cursebearer...
  3. That's kind of a non-answer. The question was "Isn't it more of a minigame than a skill." The answer was basically "We call it a skill." The answer they gave would have been better suited to the question "Why is Dungeoneering more like a minigame than a skill?" Timbo gave a better answer in the Clan Leader forum, but he also said he wants what he says to stay in that forum. But basically the structure of his argument seemed to say that this skill is essentially Construction with actual stuff to do outside of build-mode. Which makes sense really, considering Woodcutting and Fishing are almost exactly alike, as well as Smithing and Crafting. So really this is a skill that takes the tech they used with Construction and gives it a hell of a lot more to do.
  4. It's only been 2 days since they released what is clearly a gigantic piece of content, so we should all expect there are bugs that will pop up. This little episode is just astonishing in that the Recent updates forum on RSOF has the ability to produce spam at faster rates than a military surplus store can sell [at discount surplus rates!].
  5. I like it, it's creative, and a definitely a different approach to how we usually do things in RS, but I would like more outside-Daemonheim rewards. This seems like Summoning, only it only really helps combat skills. There's no aid to skilling like Summoning provided. They also really need a quest about Daemonheim so I could learn why my character should give a flying rat's pa-tooty as to why the place is so important. I'm guessing once a video-maker gets in the high levels we'll get to see what the strange power really is. I feel a bit isolated training it, so it's going to be really tough prioritizing what I want to do; Dungeoneering, or not-Dungeoneering.
  6. I might add we got 10 new bank spaces...but only for members...hopefully they fix that, F2P banking is crazy enough as it is; I can only imagine the gear from this skill is going to make that terrible.
  7. I absolutely must share this, please read if you want a laugh: 15-16-82-60682263 Their persistence is amazing....
  8. The amount of threads on the RSOF about how real the park plans are is kind of disturbing.
  9. Though I may not have been active on the RSOF or Tipit long enough to say this, I think it's accurate to say that as soon as the BTS went out the window, we all began overestimating things, and the complaints only seemed to grow louder. Perhaps that's what this issue is really about; our over-hyping these updates rather than appreciating them as they are expected. Just a thought.
  10. Wow. Just reading a few posts of his blog shows Bruce really was in the right. He downright tore their argument apart. Evony is the reason I added a few ad blockers for normal web-surfing, and by the looks of it that seems to be a good move.
  11. Pretty much like all the other game advertisements I see daily... Cant remember the last time I've seen an advert (Web) with actual gameplay on it. Look on the bright side, at least it's not a scantily clad woman looking off into the distance or calling you her 'lord' like most other game ads like that. At least they didn't make it all that obvious who they're advertising to (males age 16+ on a low budget). It does bother me they have the nerve to call it free with a members monster in the background though. It's a business, I know, but it still bugs me. <_<
  12. Yay! More junk for the POH. Can't wait to see what they do next year, I mean they've been so unpredictable with these events. I mean, who could have known they'd put it south of Falador this year!?
  13. I guess the colored infinity robes are the only real update worth considering my participation. Unless those tackle box things are of any use I think I'll keep fishing Cavefish.
  14. I would try Slayer, and save all the runes you get like I did. This basically set me up with over 17m in runes for free that mostly went toward Bursting. So do a mix of Fiends and slayer, and it should set you up a bit for some bursting on the side.
  15. My first thought was "Was that dude one of the ancient Dagon'Hai Leaders?" According to Xenia, Dragith Nurn was a magician studying necromancy in the Wizard's Tower. He used to practice his arts in the catacombs under Lumbridge. He then had a turn of heart, and sealed away his deformed creations in the catacombs. At least I think that's the main points of his story.
  16. Nice quest. I sense a 300 QP requirement for one of the next big quests. That helm has to have some use other than being a lighter-colored Slayer helm. :ugeek:
  17. Well, got 99 Farming. Would've gotten it this week anyway without the weekend, but it gives me more time to think about what I'll do next. That's over 1.2m farm xp in 2 days, about an hour of gameplay. Happy farming everyone.
  18. I've decided. I'm going to only log in for farm runs, since that's what I'm training. I should maintain the 2.5x bonus I've got as long as possible throughout the weekend so I can get the best farm xp out of it. Then on Sunday I'll wear the rest out, so hopefully a Farming cape on Monday or Tuesday.
  19. You're so difficult to please lol Exactly. A free ticket to halve the effort I put into my 99 Summoning and they complain about 15 minutes.... <_<
  20. I'm just going to check-health for plants, like I do every day. Guess I'll get a little boost to 99. On the other hand, I don't like these weekends. They might be a good money-sink, but I can't help but feel slapped in the face for all the hard work I put into Summoning. One might say they've made things easier before, but this is honestly a bit too much for me to take.
  21. I'm for the update, but I'd rather it be named "Health" or "Vitality" instead, as now I simply don't wear my Construction cape because of the nooby jokes about my "con" level, which thank goodness I can say 99 and still be right either way. Nonetheless I really hope they give the name some more thought.
  22. Got my first Staff of Light whilst wearing Soul Wars cape. Gotta' love it. On another note, I'm hoping they release some more intermediate-to-higher level monsters like Gargoyles so that I have an incentive to spend 400 points on something that would only affect Gargoyles for me at the moment, unless of course Kuradal is going to assign Zygomites now...
  23. I'm loving these updates. 2k is fair, I rarely use my Slayer points anyway, and I had 5k saved up, so now I need just 1 SoL drop to make that "money" back, I guess. Honestly, even if I had the fire cape I probably would've bought the ability anyway. Soul Wars cape for praying is nice, and you never know what cape is coming out next. Another task slot to ban is great, see ya later Waterfiends. Perhaps I'll take advantage of the auto-kill feature later, as I only really fight Gargoyles out of all the monsters listed.
  24. I'm loving all of these updates! The lobby lets me play MW2 and still be able to see what's up on RS, and the Shattered Hearts thing looks sweet. Finally I can slay Icewyrms (2k points is a bit pricey but I don't mind). Though I don't see why they had to rename it, the Hitpoints (I'll always call it that anyway) re-buff is lookin' good! Just now I need to get used to not running away if a monster hits a 40 on me hehe.
  25. I'd like to point out that Mod Chris just said a few pages into the thread that they will most likely be implementing a 5th task ban option at 250 quest points at the same time with this update.
