Meh, it was the same thing when everyone thought sailing was gonna be the new skill....yews were around 550ea, normal logs up at 100ea. I sold 5k yews for a little over 3.4m prior, and when the skill was revealed, bought back those same yews for 1.8m. I say if you do believe they're crashing, wait till they bottom out. Then buy a decent amount and hope they introduce a 'smoking' skill revolving around the herbs....or at least one that they say will....lol.

Mmhmm....I'd hate to see the lack of a farming mention, especially since it can net you huuuuge profit/xp. Slayer also deserves a mention....mainly getting 65, then killing abberants in the polniv well. Can eaaaasily get around 80-100 ranarrs per hour via cannoning+bringing a t'bird....still netting profit. (78 slayer on my main, had 30abberant tasks between 65 and now, up well over 50mil because of it).

You could even do a mix. When I was going for the hiiigh herblore req for wgs, I had 1 snap patch with the rest harralander....snaps paid for the 12k tar I made, as did using the tar @ barrows for 3weeks....I think I still actually have tar leftover...

Snaps for high profit, candats for high xp....

90 agility a tiny task
foursideking replied to Tenebri's topic in BlogScape (Ongoing Progress Reports and Goals)
Lol....it stinks they removed agil effects from f2p...especially since it could've been a good f2p skill. Give them a huuuge agil fortress in lumbridge swamps....offering cruddier xp than p2p courses... -
Mmhmm...a bunch of those quests as well are near-impossible to beat w/o decent defence. Summer's end, swan song, desert treasure (the ice mage???). I struggled in the first 2 having 60def, struggled even more in the last one w/ 80. To balance it out, you'd need around 80-ish summoning for a fam, or near-maxxed atk/str/rng.
-
Getting p2p also couldn't hurt....nats make tooons of profit and xp....literally 400k profit per 1k ess if you mine it yourself....even more profit if you use those nats and alch slayer drops...(refer to my mager acc's high slayer/atk/mage 4 details)

Imallskillzy's Pro Guide to Tormented Demons
foursideking replied to Imallskillzy's topic in General Guides
80 million guides out there to hunting tormented demons, and this one seems to be the 2nd worst. 1/2 the information is wrong/inefficient, the other half is knowledge that eeeeeveryone already knows about, making it both repetitive and a bit annoying. I'd be up for suggesting renaming the guide to 'Imallskillzy's opinion of how to kill tormented demons'. 2/10 on the guide, and if I seem harsh, just be entirely happy that you didn't create a bad PVP guide...mage-assicred a guy 6 months ago because of it...lol -
I agree, and would also like to add that 3 rocks isn't a guide either. There's a reason why the draynor willows haven't had a guide made about them: they're too heavily populated, and there isn't really a reason to form one huuuge guide about them. 2/10....
-
I'm giving this guide a 4/10, and there's 1 biiig reason why. In my opinion, this guide won't be too profitable for long. Many people are getting high dungeoneering, and while the odds of someone having all req's to kill these is low, in the next few weeks, I expect these bones to be just like the nomad quest: shaky, and veeeery unpredictable while still skrewing over the banks.

'The ones who fight in court without evidence kill themselves in the process'. That kinda describes those auto-report-happy noobs, especially when jagex mutes/bans them for falsely reporting.....gonna be an interesting fall....my prediction is 70000 accounts muted between now and labor day....
-
Should be....I used around 4400ess going from 42-50....had gloves for the entire thing though....

Lol...I'd leave public chat on, then right after they reported me, I'd ask them the weirdest questions. They'd then see my silver crown, run off. Funniest was when I was wcing in varrock...guy called me a bot for an hour, then said he reported me. I then said “hehe...petrified wood”. Guy gave me 5k gp and a maple log before running away.

With your melee stats, it'd be easier to whip the darn thing....I used full torags with 2 super sets, whip/defender, and rest inv sharks. Made it out at 81combat, with about 5 sharks left.

mmhmm...this skill could be faught for on both sides, mainly because it can only be done in a certain location like other skills (construction/slayer), and you get all sorts of xp out of doing it (like slayer), however I'm siding with the skill=minigame side for the following reasons: -the rewards are obtained via tokens, following such minigames as fist of guthix, castle wars, and even stealing creation -you can get higher than lv99 in it, and the guide says you can even reach as high as lv120 for the trimmed cape, making it unlike all the other skills -some of the rewards from this skill don't actually help you with the skill. The items you get from here can't be used to get xp for the skill, which forces you to do the same repetitive dungeons over and over. -waiting rooms for a skill?...I don't think they'd do that to any other skills to make them "skill-like"...imagine waiting rooms with wc'ing -No actual benefit for doing the skill: While some people may contradict this, lets compare it to other things. If you do quests, you tend to benefit off them, getting xp for skills, and access to better things. If you do skills such as combat/mage/range, you can become more powerful and have access to a more variety of things such as better spells, better armor, and better weopens. If you do dungeoneering, you don't exactly get anything out of it in the dungeons. All you get is dungeoneering xp, which, while that may be dandy, takes a hell of a lot of time to get.
-
the point is though...they're trying to bridge the gap between things that should not be bridged. Bridging the gap between quests and minigames is different, as then nothing is really affected other than qp. But having a skill like a minigame, well, it'd be like if they told you that mining was no longer a skill...or summoning, and that they'd be removing all the xp, all the 99's, everything, and just turning it into everyone allowing to get any ores they wanted.
-
mmhmm...this isn't exactly a skill. Next, they're gonna be saying that everything is a skill....if you run from ardy zoo to yanille, then that's a skill. If you pay 2gp for a chisel, then that's a skill. If you hate all the new skills that they're coming out with, then that's a skill. Getting pretty pointless to start training them now when they aren't really worth training...lol

Can you explain that please? The proper name for them is now "activities". And I agree, people just complain too much. Need I bring up the Runescape cycle again? theoretically though, anything you do is an activity so long as you're active, as that is what the word means. If you click something on the computer screen, or spend 8 hours chopping yews, you're theoretically as active as if you were in a minigame. As for that cycle thing, I haven't seen it, but judging on the way i played runescape, it'd go playing runescape->getting bored of runescape->switching to counterstrike->periodically checking runescape for new cruddy updates.

this new skill has been a weird one at best. When i looked at it, i immediately thought of a f2p soul wars with slightly better rewards, and by playing it, it seems more of a minigame than an actual skill. It truly confuses me though, as everyone was saying that sailing was gonna be the new skill, and the fact that those idiots were wrong more or less gives me a huuuge grin on my face, mind you, changing the name of the new skill to something a little less dumb would help...maybe "exploring"?

In most places, things seem to be survival of the fittest, and bosses seem to follow that rule. If people crash you because you're too weak, and you get annoyed about it, think of it like this. If you were killing a moss giant, and were stronger than it, would you want that moss giant to ask you to leave and go pick on something stronger, or would you just want it to be quiet...

0.5/10 on the guide. This isn't really a guide though, it is more or less showing people how to waste 20mins typing...

nine digit bank
foursideking replied to Gilformen's topic in Achievements (Drops, Bank Pictures and Levels)
clearly haxed, 0/10, and someone tell jagex... -
fifth: if you haven't noticed, he's got a slayer staff in his inv and equipped, and sixth: this guide more or less makes you lose money...should've called it "how to lose 80m at barrows effectively" or "I went to barrows and wasted 250k per inv, and all i got was this lousy guide"
-
lol...and #21: you should be allowed to add insurance onto your house, which, while worthless, will still allow runescape bankers to skrew you the way the american ones do.
-
there's another thing you can do. I had a small camping Tv thing set up right near my computer, and watched movies while doing this, made it funner...
