  1. We were thinking about an hour long show with some 2 or 3 min breaks. So a run time of about 40 min. It would be talking during the show, music during the break. As for the topics, we were thinking about runescape updates, things that happened over the week (like if one of us got 99 pray or something), and some random other stuff that really doesn't involve runescape. We are still brainstorming ideas of course. Any suggestions would be nice. Would be interesting to listen to a podcast about the recent updates.
  2. Someone, somewhere will listen to it. Just do it and see how it goes.
  3. I was going to post that just now. I wonder what the 4 marks mean, tier? how many times you can upgrade it? I think it means that the rank of the aura is 1, 2, 3, 4, possibly even 5 with the middle lighting up red. Oh and Jagex doesn't like their images linked to.... From the FAQ. Sorry, you didn't discover anything that wasn't already known.
  4. No it wont. It goes more like this: Month Points Total Points Month 1 500 Loyalty Points 500 Loyalty Points Month 2 3,000 Loyalty Points 3,500 Loyalty Points Month 3 5,000 Loyalty Points 8,500 Loyalty Points Month 4 7,000 Loyalty Points 15,500 Loyalty Points Month 5 3,000 Loyalty Points 18,500 Loyalty Points from the FAQ: http://www.runescape.com/kbase/guid/loyalty_programme_info Read what's directly above that.... That's if you don't renew your membership within 7 days of it last expiring. I think you're right about the +2000 every month which seems to be the pattern.
  5. Buy in this order Fury -> Bandos Tassets -> Bandos chestplate Get these items before buying any of that: Dragon defender, prossy top and if you can get a fire cape (if for whatever reason you can't, get a god cloak or obsidian cape).
  6. Well you pay to access content through membership, and Loyalty rewards are content, so i do not like that you will not receive decent amount of Loyalty points just because you stop renewing your membership. You should be able to have the same points gain as someone who constantly renewes membership. They're given as incentives to pay for membership again. You aren't paying for them. The entire purpose of their existence is to encourage you to renew your membership each month. They want you to pay every month not every other month that's why they go up each consecutive month you pay for membership.
  7. Assuming you COULD get 9,000 Loyalty points for Month 5 it is pretty sad that amount you get if you cancel membership and renew back decreases by 4,000 plus - possible 2000 points. So in order to get most loyalty points you must be member and keep renewing, with money. So money is making you have a advantage/or progress better than others for Loyalty rewards. I thought Jagex were supposed to make content avaible in-game, not sell them. I don't recall paying for loyalty points, I paid for membership. Where can I go to buy loyalty points?
  8. I was able to register while it said that. If it says there's an error just refresh the page.
  9. Has anyone tested how well this aura works? I'm considering getting it because I need to get 91 fishing eventually. But I want to know if it's only a slight increase or a semi-significant increase in xp/hour.
  10. Kinda disappointing that it doesn't work on any boss but whatever...
  11. Does anyone know anything about the improved rate of catching fish for the call of the sea aura? I'm considering getting it because I plan on getting at least 91 fishing some time in the near future. I don't plan on doing any combat in the near future so I can wait a month or two for the reverence aura. There's also the surefooted aura but with only 80 agility boosting for advanced gnome I'm still not failing the signpost enough for 20 minutes of no failing to be worth getting. Call of the sea sounds like my best bet but I still want to know if anyone has tested its usefulness. Oh and if I don't pay for 4 months at one time but instead pay at the end of each month (not reoccurring) will I get the same amount of points as the person who paid for the 4 months at one time?
  12. Because half their customers is a little over 2000 people that watch their youtube videos.
  13. Pretty much this. You're not directly buying the points, you're buying membership so they give you those as a bonus. If they offered two ways to buy membership, one regular price with no points and one a little bit more with points, you could consider it buying the points. But right now you're just paying for membership.
  14. Those aren't the requirements. QFC: 198-199-21-62917201. Page 4.
  15. How would moving high level players to another land make the game any less filled with grinding activities. All you did was move them to another land with the same activities. The only real solution would be to find a way to revamp every skill and find a way to make each one less filled with grinding activities to level them. Basically new fun ways to train without excessive clicking the same thing over and over again would somewhat help the bot problem. I don't think anything they could do would completely remove bots though. There's always gold farmers and people who just want max total/or a few 99s without having to do anything at all. Of course more untradeables would work to help the gold farming bot issue but there's always going to be an issue with that. Chaotics really just made some things obsolete to the players who can stand training dungeoneering. I would love to see instanced bosses that drop decent untradeable equipment. Bot hunts don't really catch enough of the bots to put any sort of a dent in the numbers of botters or make them any less confident that they won't be caught botting to be really effective. But it doesn't hurt to do it anyway (probably catches more than their awesome bot system...) There is no happy medium when it comes to removing free trade/wild or not. There will always be someone unhappy. Removing free trade/wild really just made things harder on legitimate players to trade but it stopped a lot of gold farming. Bringing it back made it easier for legitimate players to trade but also brought back gold farming. Bringing back the trade limit between players wouldn't solve anything because you can just stake to RWT. Removing staking would just cause an uproar again and really wouldn't solve anything. Removing both is essentially removing free trade other than forcing players to trade on the grand exchange if they want to pay for something over the guide price. There's really no happy in between. ^The max cash limit isn't really a set limit by anyone. It's the highest integer the java runescape is coded in can handle. It can't be raised.
  16. We had something, but then they brought RWT free trade back. On topic - If Jagex had dealt with this issue back in 2003 by either making the previous year's items untradable or simply making them available for purchace from the general stores or Thessalia then this wouldn't be an issue now. Some were already over max cash. Just not in the grand exchange. You had to do backflips to trade for a partyhat instead of simply trading with cash. It wasn't better. It wouldn't really help anything but the only way they could do this would be giving the players the equivalent value of the rare in cash then re-releasing them (already mentioned earlier). It's not like this will ever happen anyway though. I'm not sure how taking away the few things the richest players have to spend money on away and having them find something else to spend their money on will solve any problems. It would probably cause more problems then it would fix (if it would fix anything).
  17. If they considered this a cape for completing everything why would they not update it. Unless it implies that there will be no more updates for a player to complete(which isn't true).
  18. Compared to most other buyables it isn't very expensive. Crafting, smithing, herblore, and prayer are all more expensive. If you want to count farming as a buyable it's more expensive too. I think it's more of the repetitive uselessness of the skill that plays a bigger factor than cost.
  19. Has anyone else noticed the number of people with 200m prayer has doubled this month... It's just a few days from hitting 16 people. Elias hit spot #8 at the beginning of the month.
  20. Wait so are you saying that if I already have membership and I don't have to renew it until July 11 I won't get any points until I renew it? Or would everyone who currently has membership be given points on the release.
  21. How does this happen? I thought the GE had mechanisms in place to prevent this. That 999 guy posted a picture last page that included him selling that bone for that price as a joke. eee bought it as a joke I guess.
  22. I did have a lot of fun running around frugoscape making anything I wanted. But seriously, it would all depend on what they allowed you to bot. If they allowed you to bot skills that require lots of grind but don't necessarily harm any other players I'd be fine. If they allowed you to bot anything you want (mainly monsters that are already botted but not by everyone because of the slowly disappearing fear of being banned) I would probably quit. Well not quit as in never log back in, I'd bot 24/7 just to see how fast I could max. Then I'd stop playing. I'd bot skills like agility, runecrafting, hunter, smithing, herblore, crafting, and construction if you could only bot certain things. I'm burned out from grinding thieving and firemaking already. I can stand all the other skills just because I can talk to people without slowing down.
  23. I don't think World of Warcraft is having any issues bringing in money (not saying runescape is although Jagex is making it seem like it). I really think that's what it comes down to in terms of longevity. When will it stop bringing in enough money to justify still keeping it up.
