  1. I believe I used around 100 pies and actually gained level 81. So probably around 300-350 laps, perhaps less.
  2. This is actually true. I was at 71 for probably over a year and absolutely hated the skill. Then one day I was out of money so I started doing agility since it was free. Now after 2-3 weeks or so of actually having fun doing it, I'm 2 levels from 99 (Lost my motivation for a bit, but now I'm thinking about getting back at it and finishing up those last two levels). At first it's going to suck because that's your mentality towards the skill. After a bit of training it though, it starts to grow on you and you begin to like it (at least that's what happened with me). I'm not the biggest fan of agility. However, I do enjoy attempting "perfect laps", and once I can do that most of the time I try for 10 perfect laps in a row and so on. It's not the most fun skill in the game but it's worth training. I'm not sure if it's the best method but I did Wilderness course until 68 or 70, then used ape atol (I think the no fail rate is 73, could be wrong though.)
  3. I don't see how, unless you click on the adds. As far as clicking them goes, I've heard of people being hacked by clicking adverts on sites such as zybez before.
  4. I'm curious, how are you maxing slayer without near maxing your combat stats?
  5. I'm going to agree with everyone else here. This isn't a great idea. Players are capable of earning money as it is and the kalphite queen is certainty solo-able. I don't even support bonus experience events, it's just another excuse to make the game easier. Besides, it's already super easy to make money, this will(as others have noted) just make the prices of certain items unstable.
  6. [bleep]ing brilliant! Nice find You would need to have a world with no one else firemaking but this is amazing. I wonder if the penance horn would be useful? It would put you at over 1m exp/hr.
  7. I'm unsure of the rates of cutting the logs, but if its less than 1.5k an hour I can't imagine it being viable. Try it for a few hours, see what sorts of logs and experience you gain. Remember you can probably make in excess of 1m gp/hr and gain 90-100k woodcutting exp/hr with sawmill training.
  8. I used to be bad about using the game as a tool of procrastination, but that's not really because of Runescape, I used television, books, etc. in the same way. Now I've gotten much better about those sorts of things; When I have things to get done, I don't even think about playing. Its really just a question of self-control and priorities. I'm sitting about 8 hours away from 99 firemaking, but I haven't played all week because of college. Edit: I used to play for 10+ hours a day with no problem, but after quitting (because of school) for a year, I can no longer be on that long. I'd recommend setting limits, such as 4 hours a day.
  9. If Zezemia's back in the running, where will he come in when exp wise after 120 dung?
  10. "If you wish not to get you account suspended..." They always have such bad grammar. Jagex never sends emails.
  11. Where exactly is this boneyard everyone keeps referring to?
  12. I would think they wouldn't stop adding them and they would just add something newly released if it makes sense to put it on the list. It makes sense, players close or near close will have to stay involved in the game in order to keep their capes, much like the quest cape. In some ways, its an incentive for maxed players to keep playing the game, and besides, what would a completionist cape be if it didn't require completion of newer content?
  13. If you need a player moderator with classic access ,however, I can help you when I get home tonight.
  14. I never said they were bad people or somehow immoral, but that doesn't mean they aren't making the game less enjoyable. Besides, there are better ways to make money in the real world.
  15. Actually if the test for injection thing really works, that would be a perfect solution.
  16. It is bad and not just because Jagex says so. Gp plays an important function in this game, someone with a large gp pile can easily gain nearly half the skillcapes in the game, and generally speaking, skills become faster when you have more money to throw around on equipment and supplies(maxed combat and slayer with overloads for instance) Right and I fail to see how that's necessarily bad. It's unfortunate but it's true that money = privilege and the way it stands currently, the same rule applies in RS. I would still rather the current system over any proposed micro-transactions, for the sake of my friends, and because if Jagex did sell gold, far more people would buy it over the current amount. I'm sure plenty of people would buy gold if it was legal/encouraged over how many do now, currently being illegal Plus, Jagex can create gold, current RWTers just move it around. Can anyone say inflation? If you don't see any value in half the skills in the game, then its not bad. RWT basically slaps legitimate players in the face, as if to say "you know all that time you spent earning your items, [bleep] it, we got em for the price of a happy meal". Not to brag but in the real world, I've got a good bit of extra cash and could easily buy 1b or so and just cheat my way to close to maxed total in a matter of weeks but it would devalue all the time I've put into this game. Plus, as I've mentioned in my earlier posts, the level of inflation from Jagex selling gold would cause a ripple effect that makes gold worthless, people would just barter with raw materials or whatever, and RWT-ers would come back. In all honesty I'd rather Jagex just get rid of free trade, it was a mistake to bring it back in the first place.
  17. Anyone have good suggestions for money making? I've got nothing over 30 currently but I'm planning to get my skills up higher anyways(obviously I don't expect to be mining rune anytime soon).
  18. It is bad and not just because Jagex says so. 19. I'm not sure how I feel about these. I really hope they don't think that just because some of us have been members for years that we deserve stat boosting items. I'm fine with cosmetic stuff and emotes, those are obviously irrelevant to anything training related. The ROFL emote actually looks good, emotes and such is the sort of things I want to see out of this update.
  20. I'd say the people who are quitting these days are mostly quitting due to bots or ridiculous content, which is Jagex's fault. At least in some respects.
  21. If Jagex sold gold, which would be the worst decision they could make in my eyes, no one would have incentive to gather raw materials. People would simply buy gold for whatever they needed, but after a short time gold would no longer have a value(think post world war one Germany, there were reports of people literally burning money because it was cheaper than firewood). We'd essentially move to a barter system within the game, thus removing gold from the equation, which may seem like a solution to real world trading and the sorts, however, gold sellers would just become raw shark/whatever item sellers. Essentially, Jagex selling any tradable in-game items for a competitive price would break the game(not that I want to see untradables sold for real money). The only solutions to the problems in the game is banning bots permanently or reverting to controlled trade and such, unfortunately Jagex isn't going to do either of those and bots will forever be in the game.
  22. Lol I actually got an effigy while reading this.... But seriously I know people who are doing quite well with effigy drops right now... It's just a dry streak, everyone has them, and the drop rate will eventually even out. The fact that you can train effectively with effigies is exactly why they need to be nerfed.
