  1. That's pretty amazing - thank you :o
  2. I really would hold off on this until you're f2p again, since there are better methods available to you. I think even collecting Mort Myre Fungi would be faster than that, no offense :P You could kill Fiyr shades. They might not sell instantly but when they do, they frequently sell at or slightly above mid. They're a lot easier to kill than dragons and the loot they drop sells for a lot more.

I can only report ppl what talk. Reporting for macroing doesn't check for who talks and who doesn't.
  4. Get it kissed by Mod Poppy again and make some mad cash.
  5. There was actually a user in your exact situation who emailed customer service and got a speedy reply. http://forum.tip.it/topic/163183-post-all-rs-screenshots-videos-and-sounds-here/page__view__findpost__p__5202068
  6. If it was irrelevant to the argument, it couldn't be redundant - that would imply it was already a part of the argument to begin with and I was restating it needlessly. See, this is the kind of stuff I'm talking about. :wall: ...That's what I just said. As for the definition of rational, it's the one we're all familiar with. Here: I don't see what's unclear about my post. No one is stopping you from explaining. Finding your explanations inadequate != being bitter and arrogant because they state why they disagree with you.
  7. If you agree it's dependent on the situation - being a parent, the circumstances that lead to discipline - then you have no idea what will be rational at the time and what won't. Perhaps consider taking your own advice instead of trying hard to be a cynical intellectual.
  8. If intent is the difference, then it can be given...you just said that.
  9. If you don't know what you'd do in that situation then how is it you suddenly have enough insight to know what you won't do?
  10. Oak larders are the cheapest gp/xp available according to Grimy's spreadsheet. You're going to be limited by your budget. There's just not a whole lot else you can do but to increase your budget, I'd think.
  11. Delaying actions/inconsistencies reduces the effectiveness of conditioning. Not to mention that's not always a luxury that parents have.
  12. If someone destroyed something so important to me in front of all my friend, I think that would leave a stronger impression on me than giving it away. And since learning from and remembering the lessons she's gone through, I can see why he thought that it was important to do something to shock her and take her out of her normal routine to break the bad behavior.
  13. Brackish Blade and the best defender you can wield would be better damage wouldn't it
  14. I'm confused.. what do you mean by this? In other mmorpgs clans=guilds. I assumed that's what he meant, yeah. But if he means like crafting guilds etc, that's different. I dunno how that would work out.
  15. .................................................................................... *sigh* seriously
  16. That's generally not how clans work.
  17. The person who made this video is a paying member.
  18. I don't think they enforce the same thing. Duration of grounding is supposed to match the severity of what you did. During the bus ride home when I was a kid, after months of being teased and treated like dirt, I verbally harassed a fellow student until she cried. When her best friend told my mother of this, I was grounded for a week. When I explained what was going on, the punishment was increased to 2 months and no electronics. I constantly remembered why I couldn't play my gameboy - a 12yr old without pokemon? a crime against humanity - and the lecture that came along with it. I don't know if I would have given two you-know-what's about the lecture if it didn't come with the lengthy timeframe along with it. It's just not as black-and-white as people make it to be when it comes to punishments. A different child in my situation could have reacted entirely different, though. Say, a child like we're imagining from the video: well-off, needs repeated disciplining, impetuous. A grounding probably wouldn't have re-enforced the lesson that it needed, and something different would have had to be tried.
  19. You have to keep in mind people with disabilities. In this case, people with vision problems. I've written and helped with a few pieces of software for such people. One of which, which used the computer's narrator (And narrator may even do this on it's own now), reads text from tooltip classed windows or those who have trouble reading both because of a mental of visual disability. Whether or not this is the reason they keep them or not, I don't know. Both versions of the site validate with the service provided by W3C. IIRC including the alt text is a requirement to validate successfully isn't it?
  20. N-n-no...the wouldn't be so cruel! Oh god . _ .
  21. It's the only information we have to go on. But if you go onto the other foot and say that the acts weren't justifiable you're assuming that he's wrong somehow. Your method of thinking sounds great but it doesn't seem well put into practice. Yes it was to teach a lesson. He set out to do what he did deliberately. If it was simple anger, why would he have recorded it, obviously had an idea of what he wanted to say and do, and then destroy the laptop? All of these things indicate premeditation - thought through from beginning to end. That's not the way an irrational or angry person behaves. He even consulted his wife in it, which was mentioned when he reiterated what she said ("give it a few for me"). So no, it wasn't just a pissed off redneck shooting things to pieces. You can argue how effective a lesson like that would be, but that's not what your posts are saying.
  22. They've done small credits for bad bouts of lag/fps issues that were the fault of Jagex before. We had a moderator (Ellac) with the same problem you had. He increased the RAM allotted for java, and it solved his problem. [qfc]25-26-678-63346658[/qfc] Have you tried this at all yet? It seems to be a good solution for a lot of people in addition to being extremely overlooked.
  23. Cause there really wasn't anything else to discuss at the time :P
