  1. I've 100% gotten less then 5 from a trollheim patch and I've always used supercompost. I pretty much farmed exclusively on herbs (did allotments and stuff when I first started out - but ever since ranaars, it's pretty much only been herbs/quests) I've done herbs exclusively (not inc quests) to 82 farming. Never ever gotten any less then 5 from using super compost. Since ive started using juju's my average for 1200 snap seeds has been 9.1 per seed. It's only on the trollheim patch that this happens.

  3. I remember having this problem. I'd buy it at anything less then 25k (I probably bought it for ~10-15k (whatever graahks were going for at the time) You'll only need a handful of larupias to get all the feathers you'll need in a few lifetimes (even if you insisted on camping dragons) If all else fails, go grab 5 blue charms + 5 furs and make them yourself.
  4. I'm pretty sure it's worth it never (having posted the same question ages ago) The consensus seemed to be that it was good if you enjoyed stealing creation a lot But from a pure effiency standpoint - it's not worth it.
  5. OP is 83 range - I'm not sure if that makes a difference. As multiple people have pointed out - it really depends on your goals/future in the game. I doubt you'll be going on Nex trips soon - so it might be better to go CL for bandos solos. However, if you want to up range - I'm not sure if you would even go CCB. You definately wouldn't use it in Kuradel's dungeon (use darts/knives) but maybe you would use it on other monsters? I've seen a few posts in the past where rune cb is pretty close to ccb in terms of dps. You would want to double check for sure though
  6. How many doses are you adding into the stew and what are you trying to get? You went 15+ stews and never gotten a + stat boost to RC? #-o
  7. You should be ALWAYS be supercomposting EVERY patch. I have never heard of a 4 herb yield patch using super composts. Heck I rarely get 5 herb patches nowadays ... even if you super compost the troll heim patch, it can "be diseased" the effect is basically you have a patch that was never composted i.e. you can get 3 herbs from a My Arms patch even with super compost.
  8. Only if you're F2P, because you don't net them any profit. (Don't give me the advertisement argument, bots can disable viewing ads in their clients entirely just like how Firefox has adblock.) It's rare for a banned F2P account to be returned rolled back. P2P is something else since they're more or less the cash cow. It's essentially a two-tier punishment system. Bot once in F2P, chances are you're perm-banned. Get botting as a first offence in P2P, you're more likely to be rolled back. (And keep paying members anyway while botting it back up.) Feh. ? where do you get this from Didn't they set up a system where you could pay to get your account back?
  9. It's almost what I did to get 1500 feathers for bxp-weekend. But when I was done picking, I teled to relekka slayer cave with slayer ring to enter fairy rings there. ? A larupia is extremely cheap - and you won't go through more then two an hour... Having a larupia is definatelly beneficial (really you can't spare ~6k an hour at current ge prices?) By any means, it's definately a horrible idea to run around zanaris to bank and come back via fairy ring. I wouldn't be surprised if I could get in at least 3-4 full inventories per hour more then you could with a Larupia + ring of duelling. In before this becomes an efficiency thread but this is just ridiculous Of course if you find running around fairies/green shrubbery, the desert soooooooooooooooo much fun - then that's obviously a better choice.
  10. ^ I thought the average per patch with Jujus is close to 8.4? Out of all my herb runs (without remote), I get an average of a little more then 44 (per 5 herb patches) Torstols are good with remote farming + trollheim patch + juju's. Otherwise, even one or two bad patches will ruin your profits. Think about it this way, if each seed is about 8 torstols - (assuming each patch has an average of 9 herbs - which is slightly on the high side), you're going to lose 30k if one herb patch dies While the one at trollheim never actually dies, it's possible to get 4(?) herbs because it can get diseased My Arm will cure it but it won't have as high as a yield.
  11. The hard wave is much faster. You have those restore potions so you can just keep using it and claw spec the monsters out. Just make sure the enemies don't blow up that table
  12. Another option is to bring something like broad arrows to fletch and just banking when you have enough However, this is slow (for gathering feathers) and you need to cast humidify/bring an enchanted tiara Great if you have fletching to level & herblore to level
  13. Problem is - that not that many monsters are good to chin (slayer wise)
  14. The magic short bow should never be used. Rune crossbow + Broad bolts pretty much beat it at all times. Darts/Knives are amazing in Kuradels dungeon.
  15. That's slower, but if you're doing this - you could use a yak + use the scroll to bank the feathers Probably still slower then using the Larupia though
  16. Counting hits/misses works, you just need to get quite a lot of counts done. There already is a lot of data on crims charm rates though, as that's the only thing most people cba writing down. Overkill isn't hard to account for provided you're only comparing two setups, as you have to run quite a lot of calculations for each setup. Wut? I don't really know all that much about data calculators but, from a purely statistical standpoint - Counting hit/misses are going to be much better then counting charms. If we use the same stats - no pray/ovl/etc, and a predefined p1 (probability that a rapier hits) and p2 (probability that a maul hits) - you wouldn't need more then a couple of hundred of hits. Although this may not be very fun to calculate - just one or two people collecting one sample of 500 each could easily draw conclusions. For charms - you're going to count only crimsons I presume (or have a huge anova test for gold/green/crimson/blue - but this induces a lot more error) a.) The difference in #of crimsons is going to be very minimal compared to the total number of crimsons From Nattylight, the avg crimsons per hour seem to go from 200-250. With a difference of 10-15 crimsons, you're only seeing a 5% difference b.) A lot of the difference in charm drops can be attributed to proportion to charm drop c.) You're assuming that the kill rate is constant per trip (you're equally focused, putting the same amount of effort, etc) d.) You're going to need A LOT of different people's information If somebody can provide me with rough estimates of how accurate the maul/rapier is - I can calculate some stuff to provide a # of hit splats that one should gather to draw an accurate conclusion. EDIT: Also, it seems that you'll only find the DPS rate which may be different from the actual kill rate. I.e, you lose a lot less turns grabbing charms inbetween hits with a maul then a rapier
  17. It's probably best to unload your bank to buy a rare (halloween hat/santa/etc) Bandos are going to go down, (as is most armor) and even more so if a new boss with better gear is release. Bandos is already one of the most crowded GWD bosses and it's not like bandos chestplates/tassets are really getting taken out of the game. I also can't really see massive amounts of people holding bandos armor to decrease supply
  18. if you're slaying - you don't really need to flash. Of course, if you do - you'll save some money but prayer potions are extremely cheap as it is. For the most part, grab some pray pots - throw on turmoil (or piety in your case) and a prot pray if necessary. Other then waterfiends (due to how long the task takes), you don't really need to bank for more pots. Since OP is going to be training at a lower level - rapier is much better to get. Flashing is really only useful for bossing (and I guess places that you absolutely need to conserve prayer but you won't yet) but the OP won't be bossing anytime soon.
  19. He is Losing Games and he dunges with #pr0s He is 120 dungeoneering and keys 25 minute floors and dies like 10 times He has a pl8 and dies 10 times? :/ That's not reassuring Neither is the floor time for that many deaths
  20. First of all, it's not everyday. It's a monthly thing where recruits (again not all - but a random lottery) record data to contribute to DGS. DGS is founded on the basis of improving your DGing skills - and one important part of that is clearing GD's and figuring out specifically what type of defense each monster has. Also, it's not that you can't ever bind a plate. One important part of dging is mitigating damage (and therefore deaths), and not having a plate directly contributes to this. When you're getting hit a lot more often, you want to learn important things like side stepping, safe spotting, and trapping monsters. Most people use plate just to mitigate damage and they never learn specific skill sets which are important in becoming a better dger. If there are so many things wrong with DGS - why don't you name some alternatives? In fact, who are you and who do you dg with? You always give a lot of advice without any sort of information or proof, and just throw random statements out there. This is the Help & Advice forum, not say random [cabbage] that comes to your mind forum.
  21. It kind of depends on how much you have to blow on summoning https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AldEhLOK6ejJdGJGSFF1N3YzejExVDNWV2M2ZkFoNHc#gid=0 Gold: Barker Toad Green: Fruit Bats (for some cheap xp) I'd save the blues for geysers and you can check which crimsons you want
  22. http://runescape.wikia.com/wiki/Tasks I usually do tasks in sets (aka finish all of the easy/medium/hard/elite together) so I just use that. You can click on the specific city's tasks that you want to finish in mind then check out the requirement for easy/medium/hard/elite
  23. ^^ Broad arrows still sell for about 100 each You can always fletch broad bolts (75k xp/hr) when you have some extra time when hunter or something. ^Broad bolts are slightly profitable as well. You don't need to buy all the broad bolts, but you can buy maybe 1.5-2k of it.
  24. Urns do not stack with bxp. So you would actually get more prayer xp by just burying them. It seems that you're pretty hell bent on training range on BXP. If that's the case then, cave crawlers are probably still the best xp. What confuses me is this: If you're going for effigies (I'm going to go on a limb and assume you're not using the dragonkin lamp on range/prayer), you obviously care about other skills. Why not just train those during the BXP?
