  1. I've honestly never seen any major crowds in such a place (aside from events) since GE. Sure it wasn't just general player traffic from incoming teleports? Because that would've also reduced since March when lodestones came in so people started using them more instead.
  2. Yeah W1 Varrock and W2 Fally trading centres kinda died with the GE back in 08. The only reason it had crowds this summer was Jubilee and Olympic events being based there; especially the Olympic ones.
  3. Resources are calculated when collected, hence you can swap just before collection to ensure biggest profit. However approval rating is taken daily when the gp is. The best way to think of mtk is like a shop of sorts. Each resource has a gp value. Each worker is given 5k a day. When the workers are given this gp the approval rating dictates how much they keep for themselves vs how much they give to the resource fund. This maths is done daily to build up the resource fund. So day 1 you have 100% rating all 75k gets put into the fund. Day 2 you have 99% rating so it takes 75k but only 74,250 gp is put in the fund so you have 149,250gp in the fund Day 3 you have 98% rating so takes 75k but only 73,500 goes to fund giving you 222,750. And so on and so forth. This total builds up right up until the point you collect at which point it looks are what resource options you have picked and spends the gp there. tl;dr - Approval rating is counted daily. Resources collected is only counted on collection
  4. Knowing rs they'd do that and then all of a sudden fire mage wouldn't cast, green dragons would be able to roam anywhere and goblins would respawn as qbd
  5. It's just lazy/minimal effort coding. Completing event triggers unlocks. Unlocks are stored. 8 events mean you can have 8 unlocks stored. But you only need 4 for full outfit. Would take extra time to code in a check to register if you had more than 4 and therefore cease giving unlocks, so why bother when they could spend time working on actual beta content.
  6. Did they change dual wielding in the latest build? All you've said is correct, however when I played the weekend before last, offhand melee weapons were still available to F2Pers, but there were no abilities that required dual wielding. From prior the beta even being released the advertised dual wielding as a members feature and nothing has mentioned it being altered. So I'd be inclined to say f2p offhand weps are a beta only feature to help get more testing done.
  7. Whitehot/beserk phase luring is a waste of time. You can't attack her BUT it does expire after about 30 seconds or so, therefore it makes the ideal opportunity to light more fires so you maximise damage as soon as you can attack again.
  8. Weight reducing armour, ranged weapon, run lots, light fires when she goes berserker. 1 fire = 10 damage for successful hits. So more fires = better hits. Also weapon and armour stats are entirely meaningless, she hits the same regardless of what you wear and the damage output is entirely based on fires.
  9. Made up fact alert! Dg is one of the most popular skills in game, most certainly do not hate it. PVM does have it's limitations but thats what the EoC combat overhaul is for. "Most people play to compete with others" - totally made up. Certainly some people play for this but by far the majority play because they find the game fun or relaxing.
  10. http://www.runescape.com/a=569/200million/index.ws This covers the big events/changes pretty well.
  11. Maybe because using a shield makes you more defensive than offensive? Or you are putting on a shield of a different class to the weapon (like a ranged shield with a melee wep)?
  12. Runespan.
  13. Didn't the news post thingy say "Bronze - Dragon (but white not done yet)" so surely we can expect bronze, iron, steel, black, mith, addy, rune and dragon to all be done.
  14. In the same vein as this: Jmods confirmed in FAQ on forums Itchalirn's Helper should require this quest (if the last cut scene did not make it obvious) and it will be fixed soon. Also the monkey colony chamber requires do no evil to be done according to various sources and 80 agility.
  15. Interesting idea but one would assume no. In terms of coding it the logical path would be one handing in the task it checks the ge value and store it as an integer. This integer would then be assigned to a value variable of the mystery bag item when it is spawned in your inventory. Which would whenever you open the bag it's value will match that which you handed in. I could be wrong but that seems the logical way to code things, opposed to giving you a mystery bag that instead stores the item id of what you handed in and the quantity to do the ge value checks on opening; after all why store more data than necessary? The most logical would be to have all possible rewards stored in an array, then use an rng to pick an item in the array. Then it wouldn't matter if the reward was spawned upon creation or upon opening. True but that element is slightly removed from the debate of whether the bag would give you ge value of handed in items based on when you handed in and got the bag or current ge values when you open the bag as either scenario would still pick a possible reward through RNG. And we do know it is linked to GE values so hand in = reward roughly; jmods have said so.
  16. If you stats aren't at least 15+ they won't be on the hiscores. Stats are displayed using hiscore data. No hiscore = no data No data = no display I can see by checking your RSN your Ranged, Fishing, Fletching, Crafting, Smithing, Herblore, Agility, Slayer, Farming, Runecrafting, Hunter, Construction, Summoning and Dungeoneering are not ranked and therefore cannot be displayed.

  18. I don't think that can quite work lorically. Based on the dragonkin journals from QBD 1 dragonkin guy found her and experimented with giving kin power to her (turning her from a sea serpent thing into a dragon) and she was always kept in that cave another dragonkin did similar to form the KBD. They then bred the two resulting in normal dragons (presumably furthering tinkering was required to get green, red, blue, white and metal dragons out of the two). Then by proxy we can kind of assume the kin kept dragons under their control before they left, thus allowing dragons to get free. (Though based on new graphics pretty much every dungeon with dragons has jas symbols so kin connections implying most dragons never really got free of their initial homes) To cut a long story short QBD was already underground and snoozing by the time dragons properly emerged as an uncontrolled wild force and most dragons seem to be underground by choice/started there anyway. So certainly dragonriders did not drive QBD underground and it seems unlikely they had much impact on the others (but not impossible). Plus Jagex said in one of the videos lurking about somewhere about dragonriders being a race (if I'm not mis-remembering) so wouldn't be surprised if they were some Dragonkin creation as well made for the purpose of militarising/controlling the dragons they had made; which fits nicly with early dragonkin lore fragments that state they made dragons to defend themselves when they had been nearly all killed off by the likes of Robert the strong. Though of course the QBD lore does shade this fact with dragons being a failed byproduct of trying to find a way to create more dragonkin so the race could survive.
  19. Check the in-game quest guide via the noticeboard system and see what it is currently telling you to do, this might solve your issue or atleast give us a more precise idea of what step you are stuck at.
  20. There's all sorts of factors going on. If the name is the original account name it is held for aaaggggeeeeees, relative to how long they've had the name. If the account is in the top 20k(?) or so hiscores the original account name is perma-held.
  21. Slightly off-topic but this may be a good place to ask: I'm currently working on a magazine project to launch in the new year and am currently trying to compile a list of new/upcoming authors for potential book reviews. Anyone got any good places to look and/or recommendations? Probably best to PM me if ya do so as to not derail this topic too much. Anyway on-topic: I'm still getting through Dance with Dragons have to say fair few unexpected twists thus far!
  22. Proper Sunfreet is quite hard given all the restrictions and such like unless you happen to be maxed in every combat stat and have all the top-end gear at you disposal. Even then it can prove tricky.
  23. As people pointed out the usual issue is that people do not realise the numbers use a base 12 system. Ergo 1 - 12 have unique symbols so 1 1 written together is not 11 but 13. Also a screenshot is a picture or image so you should upload it to a service such as imgur.com and then post it here using the bbcode provided.
  24. The blue button next to wear it says formation.
  25. Yeah Dev covered it. You hit the switch in bottom right to do 10x spins at once opposed to 1x. It makes the wheel spin super fast then goes to the reward screen and when you accept/reject each prize it brings up the next one until you run out of spins or you have viewed 10 prizes.
