Alternate Prayers
Currently our highest prayer requires lvl 52 and I don't think we got any armours that require high pray either. This means prayer has the lowest "highest usable lvl" gab. We got over lvl 90 spells, we got lvl 90 craftable materials, 90 slayable beasts, 71+ huntable monsters and even armours&weapons which require higher level than prayer. At the moment people aren't really cheered to get higher prayer. If you aren't a high lvl staker, pker or don't want high combat for some reason, you got no reason to take a high prayer lvl. So far I've personally thought of the following prayers: * Boost the energy recharge. Would help agility training, running around the map for farming purposes and in some cases even pkers. * +20% boost to att, str, def, ranged and magic. Obvious reasons :P * Combine protection spells: By combiting 2 protection prayers (from magic and melee, melee and ranged or ranged and magic) into one high (80 or even 90+) pkers and stakers would get a reason to train prayer, magic and ranged instead of purely melee. By having 2 protections in one it forces people to take every type of a warrior to their team or carry the items to ko the enemy with a variours styles. In other words; Fire capes! Free fire capes! Come and get 'em! And I don't even want to think of the problems this would cause pking...

RC PKing Destroyed?
^^ To Nick's first post; I don't know who you've fought, but when I looked you up, you had a pretty low mage level. Anybody that can tb or higher wouldn't have too much trouble hitting you, so while you're hitting 5-7, he's hitting 20-30. Yeah, some rc pkers may run at the first retaliation, but rc pkers have to stand out there waiting for an rcer, and have to face off other pkers during that time. They have to have food, and they have to be able to stay alive at the very least. What would scare them more is somebody who can stay alive until the tangle wears off and has a dds packed. How do I know this? Many, many mage wins over msb noobs. And darts have an even shorter range than the wimp bow. Sure, these may be the "pansies" of the pkers. But they're in a free-for-all area, and they're wearing fairly valuable mage gear with runes, they pack food and sometimes rune. They aren't planning on dieing any more thanthe next guy. Oh, and your point that "nobody with 99 str/atk would be rc pking" is false. I've seen many pkers with those stats rc pk inbetween real fights, just to get a little action. It's a sport to them. Fight a bit, knock off an rcer, pk a bit, knock off an rcer... This idea that rc pkers are noobs in stats and method is so...stupid...it's not even laughable. I've fended off my fair share of rc pkers, and they aren't level 69 mages with snare and guthix claws or ice rush.

RC PKing Destroyed?
Thats just plain griefing; the lowest form of pking there is. Black dragonhide + Iron darts = Mage RC pkers running like hell. Oh, I'm sure any charged god mage pker is going to be scared of 7s with iron darts and 71 range. A meleer is more dangerous than that. By the time you're dead, you cost him what, a shark? True, rc pkers are usually the lesser skilled pkers, but the way everybody is sterotyping them as "lame wannabes that have no chance at killing me" is so completely funny and idiotic. They usually aren't dumb, just unpracticed. I have a strong feeling most of the people here saying "I own all rc pkers" are the people that have been pked half a dozen times, or simply never rc. Mark my words; give this update 2 weeks, and it'll be forgotten. Not worth the money. And personally, I couldn't care less even if every world in existance is filled with RC pkers. I rarely use the abyss - for one, laws using the hot air baloon network are faster and safer, and for two, instead of all this crap about black hides and one click teles and risking 100k+, I think outside the box. What do I do when I abyss? I pack 1 dose of pray pot. That's it. I go nekkid, with nothing but maybe a spottier cape and lightness boots. If I get attacked, I take a sip, drop pouches, and wait. After I die, I tele back with my glory and pick the pouches back up. Simple. Nobody smites an abysser, so all they get are some essence and an empty vial. No lost hides, glories, pouches, or dignity. Brains people. Use them. \

~| Ragnarok and Woad |~
According to that logic, I could open a company named Apple. Hell, it's an english word for a fruit. Will you see the english language filing charges because somebody used that word? Ragnarok is already registered as a company name, and for another company to use it could constitute copyright infringement.

~| Ragnarok and Woad |~
Copyright issues. There's another mmo out there by the name of Ragnarok, so even though it's a norse word, it could cause some serious problems for Jagex.

New F2P units
I'm like really wasted from last night, so this post may not make the best of sense, but here goes. What's the bottom line of your post? What I've gathered is a) f2p doesn't deserve updates, B) p2p doesn't own anything, and c) Jagex ultimately controls the entire game. That's true, but there is still a crucial difference between the paying members and the f2ps. F2p is merely an advertisement. P2p is a version that is payed for. Yes, if Jagex decided to, they could simply stop updating members or even close down the entire game. It's their game. You could say the same thing about any company in existance. Microsoft doesn't have to keep releasing new versions of Windows. Blizzard doesn't have to keep releasing new patches for WoW. Olive Garden doesn't need to keep making new menus. Not even the Lays company is obligated to make new flavors of chips. But those companys, along with Jagex, have business sense. They know that customers prefer new stuff to play/use/eat/or whatever, so they spend a lot of time and money developing new stuff to sell. Take Lays, for example. They have both an active advertising scheme that involves free samples at various stores, and a fairly happy customer base. Then there are the people that just don't buy Lays potato chips. Maybe they're on a diet. Maybe they're trying to save money. Maybe they just don't like the taste. Whatever it is, the only way these people might eat those chips is if they're given for free. Now, let's propose a situation. For some reason, they've been getting swamped with problems at Lays' central office. Longtime customers are getting fed up with lame tasting flavors, terrible packaging, bad customer service, and a few of the customers have even found bugs in their chips! Eew! What should the CEO do in this case? Should he ignore the problems from the devoted customer base and focus on better training for the people giving out free samples at Sam's? Should he pour millions into a great new advertising scheme and try to get new customers? Or should he focus on the internal problems that are disaffecting the old fans of Lays chips and make the people that have spent a good deal of money on his company's snacks happy? Goofy example? Yeah. But it does illustrate my point. If Jagex devotes all their time trying to improve the experience of the people eating the "free chips" and not the people that actually pay, they end up losing both groups. Think about it. Suppose the new Lays ad campaign goes well, and 10,000 more people start buying their chips. Those ignored problems are still there, and all those new customers will find one of them sooner or later. If a few more f2ps sign up for membership because of these new NPCs (a very unlikely situation, actually), they're going to be just as put off by the problems in members as the vets. You didn't gain new customers, you lost some. The bottom line? It's all about priorities. Look at how bad customer support is. Look at the problems in this game. Jagex is hardpressed right now to keep producing decent updates. When they release useless updates like the "runecrafting update", they're showing how short they are on ideas. When autoers are flooding both the non-member and the paying worlds and 9/10s of all ban appeals get automated responses, it just shows how short their CS is right now. They don't need the added hassle of adding optional npcs that would be completely useless to anybody but non-members. They have bigger and more pressing issues to deal with. That's why I oppose this suggestion.

~~New Age Random Event / Minigames Ideas! Post Yours Too!~~
We already have full white knight armor, but I like these ideas. But, instead of random events, make these more like rare events. Not just another freaky forester or MoM, but something you're pretty lucky to get.

New F2P units
I never was directly opposed to this suggestion. I thought it wasn't necessary, but I didn't have a strong negative attitude towards it. This entire debate started when D_V replied rather curtly to my question, and accused me of "lacking the forsight to see how this would benefit members" and claimed I was "unable to grasp the benefits of this suggestion". I showed why I disagreed, and how it wouldn't help members in any way. That's how it began. I wouldn't be "jealous" if some new things were introduced into f2p. If I thought it was worth Jagex's limited time, I wouldn't have a problem, but they're swamped as is with weekly updates, CS, reports, and so on. They don't need to spend the time adding unimportant things to the f2p game. What I've been debating for most of this thread are the false arguments people have proposed, such as "This would make more members" and "F2p deserves some updates". Those two, and others, are completely untrue and biased towards f2p. They're proposed by jealous non-members that want more for free. When I pointed out the problems with those arguements, I got flamed with "stop being a jerk", "stop flaming", and tons of insinuations that I "don't understand such things", ect. So there you have it. A bunch of well-written arguements, and to counter them, a bunch of false insults. Why don't you make your own decision on them and see who's the jealous group here?

New F2P units
I want to set something straight. I did NOT flame in this thread. I debated. The flamers are, *ahem*, other people that have been posting here that don't take too kindly to being proven wrong by simple logic. If I remember correctly, this section of the Tip.it forums are designed for discussion about bugs and suggestions, key word discussion. I really, really, hope the thread starter here didn't simply write this "suggestion" to hear a bunch of "yes yes" posts. He wrote this thread with the intention of getting other people's opinions, and as much as you may dislike it, I have an opinion, and I voiced it throughout this thread. It's ironic that you mentioned Nub_of_Noobs's post in the same post as you attacked me with. You don't like that he posts simple "I agree" or "I disagree" comments, yet from the way you're acting, you seem to prefer it if people keep their thoughts out of their posts. Maybe we should all learn a lesson from Nub's post and avoid controversial discussions in the future? Maybe we should start posting concise little "yes" and "no" posts and skip everything else entirely? In that case; I disagree.

You just proved my point. You don't want more monsters because it helps the game, you want more monsters to fight. Like the guy in my example, you're bored of the demo, and instead of getting the full version you complain and ask for more in the demo. That's just wrong... You didn't address one single part of my post. You just brushed by it with a "there's nothing wrong with asking". You know what that, along with the "it's not illegal for Jagex to updgare the f2p experience" are impling? "Adding new stuff to f2p isn't going to hurt." Actually, it could hurt, but even at the very least but it won't help in any way. It's not going to make more members, it's not going to generate more money for Jagex. All it does is take up more space. Bottom line? You want something new to fight because you're bored. End of discussion.

Customizable Armour/Weapons (revamped )
Way, way, way too many scamming chances. "Selling rune plate (m)! +9 str!" "Selling rune legs (m)! +15 mage def!" All someone has to do to scam is modify some cheap armor and lie about its effects.

Dragon Battle Axe Special Attack.
I don't know the exact percentages, but when I use my dbaxe with 99 str, it raises to 117 str 100% of the time. When I use a super str pot, it goes to 118.

New F2P units
First, I couldn't care less if you guys can't afford members. While I understand some people don't have the means to buy members, attempting to use that fact to force Jagex to release f2p stuff is ludicris. Let me give you an example. Someone downloads the demo version of the latest Grand Theft Auto game. He plays the demo to its max. He gets bored of the demo. So what does he do? Does he go and get the full version? No, he decides the 30 bucks for the full game is too much, and instead starts telling Rockstar Games "You need to put more in the demo because I'm bored and can't afford the full version!!1" It's not my problem, or for that matter, Jagex's problem, that you and others can't afford an already very decently priced membership. Now, with that behind me, I'll move on to other subjects. What is my internal reaction when I enter f2p and miss my p2p stuff? I realize I'm playing the demo version, and as a paying member I won't be able to use all my stuff in the demo worlds. My response to friends that want better stuff? Get members, or forget it. The entire slant of your post, D_V, is a sense of "Jagex owes me these updates. Jagex owes non-paying members some of the abilities of people supporting the company just because a few are unable to get membership." You know what that is? Barbara Strisand. (Put it together.) This isn't a "What do you feel? Don't you want to be nice to the people that can't get members?" issue. This is nothing more than the simple law of cause and effect. Put money into game, and you get more abilities. This has nothing to do with emotion; it has to do with fairness. And what we have is fair. You have a demo version you can play for free, and you have a paying version with much more content. It's your choice which version you play...

New F2P units
I have to disagree. The reason it is a great suggestion is that it suggests adding to the monster class that has the least representation in all of F2P. Just so you get the idea (and might finally support), by adding a few more monsters to the mage group, which would be stronger than what exists right now, it would give players who are looking to go P2P (and some who are not, but might have their minds changed by an update like this) a better idea of what might await for them by going P2P. If they want a big challenge, or have a taste for destruction, or just simply want more options, this would make them want to go get P2P even sooner than before. Instead of thinking, "... :( Oh man, forget it, there can't be much better for me!" ... they'd be thinking, "... I'm missing out on the potential of THAT?!?!?" ... because new players still have the ability of foresight that some of us veterans apparently lack these days. Now do you get the point and reason to something like this? Do you finally see the need? It wouldn't be just another F2P thing. In fact, if you've noticed, all things for F2P these days that are being asked for and suggested would ALSO help P2P rather greatly. I've said more than enough. If you don't get it at this point, about the only people you'd understand it through would be The Gower Brothers @ Jagex Towers... -.- ~Mr. D. V. Devnull Blah, blah, blah... "I'm F2p, and I want more stuff. I'm playing the old argument that claims new stuff for f2p will make more members, when in reality I don't want to pay 5 bucks a month while getting more stuff for free." You claim more mage NPCs for f2p will make people "with a taste for destruction" more likely to join members. You claim it'll make them want to get members sooner. How? If you have a "taste for destruction" and it isn't getting satisified in the demo verson of RuneScape, guess what you do? Pretty obvious, IMO. Getting more fun stuff in a demo isn't the way to get customers, boredom is. If you're tired of the same old, same old, guess what? Splurge and spend that whopping 17 cents a day for members. Giving more new stuff to f2p doesn't aid a thing, it doesn't make people more likely to get members. Actually, it accomplishes just about nothing. There are plenty of things that f2ps can see that generate interest in getting members, from thieving, to the members gates, to the weekly updates, to the locked skills, ad infinitum. What generates interest is not new stuff available to you, it's the new stuff unavailable to you. The stuff out of reach, not within an arms' length. Want an example? I don't know of one single new p2p member that joined because f2p got the Stronghold of Security. Why? At first, when someone checks out the new thing for f2p, they're excited. They spend a lot of time on it. They're satisified. Then, after it becomes mundane, they just go back to whatever they were doing before. If they were planning on getting members, they've waited until they finished with the new thing, if they weren't, they just kept going on f2p. IT DOESN'T CHANGE A SINGLE THING. Now, before you start going "Aw, you're just a stuck up high level member", I was a f2p for a long time (judging by your stats, probably about twice as long as you have been) before I got smart and got members. I didn't get members because of the new stuff we got, like the Stronghold of Security, I got it because of the stuff I didn't have, like ancient magic and whips and barrows armor and quests. That's why. How do I lack forsight? Personally, if somebody here lacks that quality, it's the person too cheap to spend 5 bucks on the game he claims to like. And a funny thing I've noticed? Every person supporting either you or this suggestions seems to be a non-member. (*chough* perhaps they want something new without paying. After all, who doesn't like free stuff? *cough*) Who knew? Now, I'm not entirely sure what suggestions you're talking about, but how do new robes for f2p mages aid p2p? How do new mage monsters for f2p help members out? How do snare and higher magic and better armor for f2p help members? It doesn't. So don't start spinning stuff just because you won't get members and are jealous of the ability of paying players in this game. And one last thing. Mages aren't the least represented class in f2p. Range is. And we don't even have that many mage or range npcs here in in the paying version of the game.

guthix mjolnir = crystal spear????
It's not a crystal spear - examine an elf, and it says "I don't want to be at the wrong end of that pike." : Second, the elven pikes can hit from a square away, like a hally, while the Mjolnir can't. End of case. :?

New F2P units
D_V_Devnull, how does this count as a great suggestion? It's noting more than asking for more monsters in f2p, not some great new thing nobody has ever thought of.. Sorry, I don't support. I don't see a need.

P2P idea - Hoods & Wizard Hats - Mage Stuff
Idk, I like pointy hats. Infinity, mystic - it's all good. I would like one of those ubÃÆÃâÃâër 1337 hats the watchtower wizards wear, though. :D Don't support. The reason is, if you want a different looking set of mage armor, get a different set of mage armor. Sure, Jagex can release hoods on different sets, and they have, with the ghostly and Ahrim, but changing the look of different sets currently ingame just isn't my thing.

What is your max hit?
I've hit 47, slayer mask, super strength pot, prayer, and whip. I know I could hit better, but I still don't have either a fire cape or a fighter torso. :wall:

Most Important Skills to get to 99?
The combat skills. The game centers around them, so they're the most important imo.

Dwarf Cannon
It's a powerful weapon, so it comes with a powerful price. As the ogre guards say; like it or lump it. \
