  1. Nice specs, but that somehow seems unlikely that you'd hit that with your stats. I'll take your word for it though. :D I would have wild lure kill stories, but nobody, and I mean nobody, lures people with pker stats. Seriously, in over a year of merchanting, I can only think of 2 wilderness lures people have tried on me, and they usually just go "um, nvm I sold it" or whatever. I guess they looked me up. :-k
  2. This wouldn't be too hard of an update, all they have to do is add a new camera angle - through your character's eyes. There have been soooo many times I've wished I could see through the eyes of my character when fighting near a high cliff or wall (try maging near the wall at metal drags, for example).
  3. You missed some living people in Phasymatys - charter crew members. \ I hate ranged, but I really want one of those bowswords. Melee + ranged.
  4. Actually Kill_Thomas, that guy has the lure a bit off. I know this, because somebody noticed my mage level and offered to "tell you something secret". I got suspisious, but went along to see what he was up to after banking all my stuff. That guy pretty much described the method, but for one important factor - for that lure to work, you have to boot at almost exactly the right moment. So they tried a new trick. Venge yourself, and do a long cape emote, like strength or questing. When someone attacks you, the damage is not dealt until the emote is completed. So they get you to attack the guy doing the emote, wait a second or two until the emote is almost done, then kick. Presto. D.E.A.D. (No, I never used the lure, but the knowledge came in handy when someone tried to lure me in the same way.) Oh, one last thing: I'm not sure, but the guy doing the emote might also get killed if he gets kicked before he completes, so don't do your emotes in a dungeon or you you might just be luring yourself. :|
  5. You can get all 14 of those. Get members. Sure, f2p can do with a few things, like skillcapes, snare, maybe a new battle spell and a high level monster, but that's all. Hell, p2p only has 1 duel arena, so why should f2p have "at least 1"?
  6. I don't give anything to people. Know why? I was in canfis the other day, ran into some guy who was losing members. Long story short, I got about 6-7m in stuff for 3m. Entire time this awesome trade is taking place, a level 40 is watching and picking up on the fact I'm getting a lot of money. So he begs. I was feeling pretty good, so I give him 1k airs. Is he happy? No. He stands there for a while, then trades again. "More". Dumb as I was, I gave him 25k cash and said "No more." He trades again. :wall: Giving to a begger only causes more trouble in the future. Don't do it. I never begged, and I made it. So can they.
  7. Oh, so now not only does the kid get mentally screwed up killing guards, he now goes goth or whatever cause he helped the zammy mage out getting access to the abyss? This guy has just attacked probably the entire gaming community. PvP players are now PREDATORS! A Term generally reserved for four legged life forms and lower, such as really sick humans. If you pk, you are now officially at the same level as a pedophile! Last I heard, ganking people is commonplace in mmo's. I wonder where this guy has been? So now being knowledgable is a bad thing? This guy is great for kids, he's indirectly telling them drop out of school so they are on the same level as people in underpriviliged countries! Equality for all! \ In every game in the world, from mario 64 to world of warcraft, knowledge is power. What should it be any different in RuneScape? Ok, let's go down the list. Level 3 clue scrolls (dropped from decently high-level monsters) Lost City Abyss runecrafting Mage Arena Do you seriously think somebody doing these parts of the game will "have no idea what they are getting themselves into."? I'd hope you'd know what the wilderness is by the time you do the mage arena... I'll summerize the entire anti-phat thing with one paragraph; A party hat in RS is roughly the same as a one-of-a-kind piece of celebrity memoribilia, or in a more honorable way, a rare archiological artifact. A party hat serves the same purpose as a jaguar or mercades, so why isn't he blasting people that drive sportscars? Huh? Oh, I can't just leave it at that. This line is screaming out to me; Instead of being desentisized to violence and wasting time, they're learning economy and thrift. Which will serve them more in real life? :-k And the worst case scenario he can name is; they might quit this destructive, mind-damaging, violent game! He should be praising the party hat! I almost don't want to keep reading. This guy is Moron with a capital M.
  8. I don't think waves and entangle should be opened to f2p, but snare; maybe, and perhaps a charged version of the blast spells that uses 2 deaths and hits the same as a wave. I don't want to see bloods and waves released to f2p even though nobody uses waves to pk in p2p. It's just one of those special little things that make members what it is. Snare is just for the low levels who can't use entangle, so I see no reason it can't be released to the free worlds. F2p needs a slightly more powerful mage. Bind is about useless, and a 16 max doesn't even come close to cutting it after about 70 combat when you can't even use solid armors.
  9. Every person I have ever seen using lunar doesn't want to just stand around - they use their role to support, and (usually) melee on the side, since you don't need magic bonus to be an effective healer and healing lowers your health, raising the need for solid armor. Am I allowed to use lunar to suppliment fighting as a warrior? Otherwise, nobody will ever lunar...
  10. Then who would use it? I know I wouldn't be using 700k spells to own the KQ. The only possibility would be pures with low combats using it to beat formerly challenging quests. Still a bad idea.
  11. If you get around to going past the test, I have a big question. You say no hybriding, yet you can't attack with lunar. If I decide to play as a lunar mage, is standing around, healing, and venging all I get to do? :-s
  12. We're already in the era of high damage. Warriors are hitting 42+ with whips, mages are stacking 30's in a 9x9 grid, and rangers have incredibly accurate crystal and karil bows. We're past the age of dlongs, god spells, and msb, and that's a good thing. One reason we don't need one or two hit kills is that it would seriously mess up staking and pking. It would be as bad as when the mauls hit max or 0 - loads of pkers standing 1 sq outside the wildy with no armor, running in as soon as they see a target, hit fast, and if you fail to kill them, teleport or run. And could you imagine how bad staking would be? The only fighting would be high stakes between two players, hoping that one will hit before the other one gets a chance. No, things are fine the way they are.
  13. Free players brought it upon themselves why Jagex didn't release free players skillcapes, autoers ftw. That's ridiculous to say that. First of all how the hell is it our fault that people auto. I didn't bring it upon myself. Secondly what use would an autoer have to buy the cape in the first place? None. If you weren't so ignorant and you were a member you'd understand. Let me try to explain this clearly. AUTOER get 99 in a SKILL by AUTOING to get SKILL CAPES. Btw if the free to play worlds weren't harboring so many autoers they might have had skillcapes. And I can totally understand JaGeX by some posts here why they didn't give f2p more stuff :uhh: If you weren't so ignorant you'd realise no autoer could make it to level 99. Jagex owns them too fast. You have no idea what an autoer is. There ARE NO HIGH LEVEL AUTOERS. Autoers = gold farmers, low level ("disposable") characters that have short lifespans that live to do an easy, repetitive action over and over. That's an autoer. And it's still not f2p's fault they have autoers. They can't help it. If it's anybody's fault, it's Jagex. It's their job to stop autoers, not the players.
  14. Hunting = Chinchompa power! Agility = Shortcuts, and trust me, these save a lot of time when you get slayer tasks in Taverly dungeon or wherever. Thieving = Decent enough money at thieving heros, or so I hear. Firemaking = Well, yeah. Pointless.
  15. Ess mining Ess is like 100k an hour. Anybody can get that killing dragons or PC or whatever. Runecrafting is ~300k an hour at 50, 500k an hour at 75, and 1m an hour at 91. Only way to beat that is be a good merchant.
  16. um...lets see you try to take on a god. point being, zamorak actually took on Zaros, one of the most powerful beings, if not the most powerful in rs. sure he got lucky but the fact his he wen t head to head with Zaros. This pretty much proves that he was the single most powerful mortal being in all of rs. Ok, first of all just because Zamorak stood up to Zaros does not mean that he is "ownage" or the most powerful human. He turned on Zaros's back and Zamoaks forces recived major major harm. The ones who betrayed Zaros basicaly lost when the fight begain. Then Zamorak thought that he could go and kill Zaros before it was to late. It says that even with the staff of armadlly Zamorak was no match for Zaros. Just because you steal somebody else's power (the staff) does not mean that you are powerful in standing up to someone "powerful with that stolen power. Im not shure if that last part made any sense. #-o Exactly. Basically, Zammy was a power-hungry warrior who found a weapon with real power. Without that, he'd be dead. To make an example, Zammy's brawl with Zaros is something like this. Level 126 is attacked by a level 70. Level 70 has an uber-weapon of mass destruction. Level 126 gets owned. (Barely) Does that mean the 70 was really powerful? No, it means the weapon was powerful. The weapon won the fight. Not the level 70. Thanks for agreeing with me. : Anyway i think that you got confused. zaros did not even break a sweat fight Zamorak. The reason Zamorak won was by sheer luck that Zaros sliped. I think a more proper example would be this: lvl 300 attacks a lvl 700 the 700 has ice barrage and the lvl 300 has flames of zamorak I don't think i need to go on. The guy with zammy flames i getting owned. Actually, god spells aren't bad against barrage. Wrong example. It's more like the 300 is using fire strike, and the 700 is using barrage. 300 is about to get p00ned off the face of the planet when the 300 starts hitting him with that aformentioned uber-powerful weapon of mass destructionÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâî (or u-pwomdÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâî, for short). Even that doesn't help much until the 700 makes one big mistake, and the 300 gets a lucky hit and just barely wins. Yeah, I think that sums it all up. :

  18. Because melee is fun. :D Plain and simple, people like high damage + Melee has the highest damage in the game = lots of warriors.
  19. It's also funny how so many people like Zamorak because he's "evil, and I wanna be evil  muhahahaha and powerful" or whatever. Zamorak is not a good example of power. He's a being of luck, a wimp who got lucky in a brawl with a real god. And Saradomin is not essentially good. He is a symbol of wisdom, order and fairness. You get plenty of power while following him. (Don't believe me? Look how dominant the White Knights are, how sophisicated the Temple Knights are, and how much territory is governed by Saradominist authorities.) No need to jump to a stupid and self-destructive god of chaos for power. Just be a very, very good Saradominist and rule through dimplomacy and subtlety. Power through Politics (the true Saradominist catchphrase :D )
  20. :XD: Not only did you bump a 3 month old topic, but you just showed that you are mentally incapable of adapting to a new combat system. We don't have 3 hit anymore, we have dds, entangle and tb. Food is not overpriced, unless you're incredibly poor, that is. Anybody can scrounge up the food for a few pking trips. And if that drag dagger owns you, get one yourself. That's like pking with a short sword in RSC and complaing the r2hs own you. Adapt man, adapt.
  21. Actually, you get 1.33 hp xp per damage point. Jagex designed it that you will get 1/3 of the xp you earn in a combat stat, such as atk or def, sent to your hp. In other words, you get 99 hp with 99 in all melee.
  22. I can't believe there are so many Zamorak followers...after all, who wants to worship an ugly god-wannabe who almost got his butt kicked by Zaros and would have had it not been for the staff of a real god? Saradomin is all there is...the equality and fairness of good and order far outweighs the slight adavantages of chaos. There is no need of balance in a world filled with the light of truth, hmm? And three words for Guthix? Pathetic old wimp. 'Nuff said.
  23. For the same reason I train on aberrants instead of black dragons. Less 0's. I know people that maxed out in f2p off of red spiders. It's generally a bad idea to train in f2p on stuff near your lvl. Bad xp with rune scims.
  24. I do agree that there should be non-tradeable items such as the chompy hat which is indeed a status symbol, equally gold castle wars armour is correctly non-tradeable. However, I can buy fishing potions, a slayer mask, gloves of silence, dwarven stouts and spottier capes all of which give bonuses to certain skills - why shouldn't I be able to buy lumberjack clothes? I'll also bet that you don't go back for a ramble in Burgh de Rott once you've got your lumberjack kit! If you could sell "full lumberjack" for 50k, 100k, 200k (or whatever the price might be) I'm sure you'd be much more tempted! And making that 200k takes two or three hours? If it was tradeable nobody would earn it. If you don't believe me, look at the mage training arena. Not very populated. As a result of infinity being tradeable nobody does the training arena, and there isn't very much infinity in circulation. People can make better money other ways. If lumberjack was tradeable, it would be the same situation. Barely any around, and nobody ends up earning it themselves.
