  1. Now that's nothing!! Assuming you get everything at mid-price. It'll be more than 23k, no doubt, but hardly anything substantial. In the time you saved mining it all, you could make ten times your loss.
  2. A concept such as even teams is something that should've in the first concept stage. Every other team-based mini-game has forced equal numbers on teams.
  3. It's a very useful item for anyone who crafts more than 1 type of rune, instead of clogging your bank up with 12 different types of tiara you can just store 1. Not to mention the fact that it looks amazing. Yes, but wouldn't it be faster to have a glory amulet and abyss to the altars you need to get to?
  4. Agreed. I think Jagex did a good job with removing RWT. I dont think it was a mistake, just more of a thing that needed to be done. Thats my opinion though. But that is not true, at all. As said in my first post, ONE RWTer has sold 2 billion RSGP alone, thats one of them. I think Jagex was only telling a half truth when they did the December updates. I don't think the updates were meant to stomp out RWT completely, just get rid of the gold farmers using stolen credit cards to sign up for hundreds of mule p2p accounts (flax pickers, yew loggers, green dragon autos, etc) and get the banks off their back. I've only seen two times that Gold Farming has left a game. Once, because the draconian laws put in place by the developers drove off all the players and 2, because items and money in the game are so inherently easy to find (Except for end-game armor) that nobody would consider buying it online. That second game was Tabula Rasa.
  5. The omni-talisman is useless in my opinion, aside from the runecrafting exp you get showing each talisman. Anyone who already has all of the talismans uses the abyss to craft anyway. The runecrafting stave's effect on eyes is nice, but it takes up a weapon slot that could be used for a pickaxe or hatchet, as eyes can be easily moved across without the stave. The map is useful to free players and newer players, I guess, so I won't discount its uses. Double the normal experience for crafting during the mini-game? Sign me up!
  6. I played on the green team, we lost horribly every game. So I moved over to the yellow team and got an entire set of runecrafting robes after only a few games. The team balancing definitely needs to be fixed.
  7. I wouldn't call Bounty Hunter a waste of time, but the hardcore pkers will never be happy with any replacement Jagex could give while still making it as hard as possible for real world traders to exploit it. I've seen a lot of ideas that are, theoretically, much better than the mini game plan jagex has, but would never work realistically. I take solace knowing that there won't be any more anti-rwt updates, assuming Jagex doesn't change their stance on this in the future.
  8. You won't burn any lobster at 82 cooking.
  9. You lose alot each 1k bars? It depends on what materials you buy or extract. If you're buying all the runes and ores, you're probably going to lose out on some cash.
  10. Borrow one, you'll probably be able to for (at most) your max trade amount.
  11. Agreed. It doesn't speed up runecrafting, as you're spending 10 minutes to save a small amount of that in teleporting straight to and from the altars. What it will do is get more people interested in runecrafting, as it adds a bit more change to it. I think what a lot of people who hate this update most hate about it is that they fear more people will be leveling runecrafting now, getting higher levels and removing the feeling of exclusivity they had when they were one of the few that were high leveled runecrafters.
  12. We got owned by Rarex. Us naysayers = :-#
  13. Now, since I've never been to the Abyss (don't like the risk factor of it) I don't know what these eyes are, but maybe someone else will know. Whatever they are, the Runecrafting staffs distract them. The Abyss has two sections. You start in the outside circle, where you're getting attacked by all the abyssal creatures, and there are several obstacles to get to the inner circle (where the portals to the altars are). There are several obstacles requiring a tinderbox, axe, pickaxe, and the eyes are an agility (or theiving, I think) obstacle that you distract this giant pair of eyes to get past it. You can choose which obstacle to go through depending on what you have in your inventory, but they're scattered around the circle. (It's easier to do it by wielding a pickaxe and having a tinderbox in your inventory)
  14. The spirit terrorbird allows you to run longer, shortening the time spent walking and the abyssal familiars allow you to bring extra essence in with you, that easily make up for the .5 exp difference per rune between Laws and Natures. zaaps put it in a better picture than I did. Punching Andrew...
  15. Hadn't even thought of that. Someone needs to see if that stacks.
  16. Agreed. I would rather Runescape didn't have adults only servers. I cannot imagine how the conversation would be on there what with kids getting in and just the general maturity level even of the older players.
  17. Bork is good to do once a day, you'll get more blue charms in the time it takes to kill him than most other creatures.
  18. The order that you dig in is random for each player, but the digsites are the same Grab some tele runes and you'll find the hot spots much faster. I don't think anyone has made a map of the locations, though. Edit: Edited to clarify.
  19. The quest sign has been there a while, I think it's for Imp Catcher and they've never sorted it out. Jagex need to tweak this game, the losing side should atleast get some tokens for EFFORT similar to Fist of Guthix, I just don't think getting double rc exp is justifiable enough, since you ain't exactly making 100's of runes per game, and people can be crippled right from the get go if they get shoved with inexperienced/low level runecrafters or with a smaller team. Absolutely. I played a game that was two on three, my team won (I had one opponent) but that was mostly due to the other team not knowing what they were doing and attracting our colored orbs in, aside from one guy. We got 900 tokens, but the previous game I played (which was much than this, but we lost) I only received 100 tokens (I used the 1000 to buy a green hat :D )
  20. Jagex has this in the form of holiday items, although you have to be playing during the two weeks they're out in order to get them. IN another MMO I play, Tabula Rasa, they have exclusive emotes and items for people who have been playinx X months. At 1, 3, 6, and just recently added 9 months you get new emotes and sometimes a new item like a hat or a mask. They're purely asthetic, don't have any stats.
  21. Like I said, don't bother addressing any point I make, just keep it coming with the childish personal attacks. Keep it up and when you grow up you'll be a politician! [/hide] My name is highlanders not SirHemen. Addressing points you make? You make no points, you pathetic hypocrite. Ha ha ha he mixed up head with [wagon]! Isnt it hilarious??!! and "Lolz I like flamming SirHemen threads and ideas, cuz I can't create any idea of my own, l0lz". Dont forget to write down what I said, its going to save you thousands in therapy. WHOOPS. Like I said, don't bother addressing my points, just keep with the personal attacks. It makes you righter than me. People like you are hilarious. All I have to do is stick a little casual indifference, such as pointing out something funny that someone else misspoke, into my posts and you're practically spitting all over your screen as you pump out attack after attack, probably patting yourself on the back afterwards in a "ha, I got him" manner. Recipe for your post: Take an irrelevent personal attack, add water, add water; Voila! You've built a bomb. Also: "Lolz I like flamming SirHemen threads and ideas, cuz I can't create any idea of my own, l0lz". I don't remember saying that. Stop putting words in my mouth.
  22. People say we need to get rid of doomsayers, I wholeheartedly disagree. It's a guaranteed look into the future of runescape. Doomsayer says runecrafting is dead? Well you can expect it to prosper for quite a while now that more people are interested in runecrafting.
  23. Jagex would have to implement a system to tell when packets are no longer being sent from the client, as right now the game has no idea that you've disconnected. Those who have disconnected will know that the game does not disconnect you immediately, as it still believes you're sitting there at the computer. You have to wait until your character times out in order to reconnect. I think an easy medium would be, upon disconnection, your character is sent to the abyss network (Or whatever it's called) until the player hits the "play" button after he logs in, where he's transported back to where he was. No potting, no food, no way to abuse it that I can see, aside from maybe someone pulling their internet connection and having a higher level friend clear out the area so they can get away.
  24. Old copout. People lose so they use the "well I never wanted to win anyway". How much exp could fist of guthix possibly give you, unlesss you're training mage and want to do it for free?
