MAP: Dorgesh-Kaan
Okay, I too have gone berserk with the Dorgesh-Kaan map. I used the one from Tip.It's website and marked all of the STUPID lamps on it for the lamp orb firemaking game (discussed in the firemaking guide). They are the small pink squares marked on here, and the positioning is exact (no matter how bizarre it looks, lol), though they are all against the walls (except in the day care where they are in the middle). This would normally be given to the Crew as an assignment, but there's a backlog already and everyone's got exams right now, so I figured I'd just post it here for anyone who's interested.

[Handled]Skill Guides: Farming
If you'd like to sit your character next to your tree and log in every hour to see if it's reached the next stage, continuing until it's completely grown, and you do this for 10 of the same type of tree, and post all of your hourly data here, I'll consider making modifications. Until then - our times match the ones Jagex has provided. Please contact them if you think their numbers should be changed. Thanks.

Monster examine topic !
Please post pics of monster examines in the Bestiary topic http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=496519 !! Muggiwhplar did and he's been credited!! Um. I'm a bit dense here as I've never killed the KQ. She has 255 hp for one form and 253 for another, making 498 HP total?!

Goutweed Tubers - the new Lumberjack top
They were trading for 300K last week, now down to 200K. They only turn up at the bottom of a patch, so don't walk away without chopping all the way down. Wearing 1-2 items of villager clothing *may* improve chances, but no proof of that. Being at 100% favour and not collecting sticks *may* improve chances, but no proof of that either. I've collected 3 in the last two days, but met one guy who was getting one an hour!! Dunno what he was doing right, but I think he was wearing full villager. Persistence. One guy spent 12 hours for a couple of days to get his. I spent 7 hours on my first one (only spent 2 hours after I bought 2 clothing items) but only 2 hours on second and 2 hours on third. Good luck!

In my days of No lifing...
I've only pulled all-nighters twice for RS. First time was for farming - I was determined to get to 30 (high scores back then) but was using an old comp. I was locked up and then autologged out for 2 minutes out of every 10  every time I crossed a map area, so it took me 24 hours!! Second time was for Hunting. Had a good rhythm going, and a friend was taking all my trash (bones bodies etc) and supplying me logs so I didn't waste time dropping and chopping. We went for 2-3 days with very little sleep, and I got to 73 hunting (rank 52). My pal wanted to keep going to 99 but I calculated it would take 2 more weeks at that rate and we'd both die, lol. My rear end was sore for WEEKS!! Haven't worked it more than an hour since.

Monster examine topic !
The Tip.It Crew wants to include the new data in the Bestiary to make it the best around! Please *please* feel free to post a snapshot of any monster stat check (such as the pics by Abyssalwhip http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?p=4697755#4697755 and hephaistos50 http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?p=4698157#4698157 ) in the Bestiary topic http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=496519 First poster of a monster stat pic in that topic will receive credit in the bestiary entry, and we'll be adding that data on a daily basis. Thanks for helping!!

monk fishing
There is a world guide in Player Made guides forum - unfortunately I don't have time to look for it atm, but maybe someone will help you out. I do recall that they listed a Piscatoris monkfishing world, though I've no idea why.

rare item?
All questions go to the Help and Advice forum. And anyone who was not playing years ago when the scythes were dropped on Halloween (see our Holiday/Rare items guide) cannot get one, as they are untradeable.

Achievements Suggestion
Why not make "F2P: " the first part of your topic title, so people could search on that? Just a thought, I don't read the forums you mention so please excuse if my suggestion doesn't apply.

General Guide: New Members (P2P) Guide
Um. Does the stat-reducing "disease" happen from any monsters/locations besides the Zogre area (coffins and monsters) and the Tai Bwo Wannai cleanup Broodoo victims? I'd like the guide to say specifically, but don't know any more off the top of my head. User posts would be much appreciated.

Great, Good and Bad Guides
It's a lot harder to evaluate these guides when one is responsible to the community and management. As a former professional editor IRL, I'd probably lock 99.99% of the guides that get posted. But I'm not familiar with all aspects of RS (I don't do much combat), so I am not the best person to decide which guides have "useful" information. If the information is common knowledge, or the person pulled it all out of their head in minutes without doing any research at all, the guide should probably be locked. But who decides what's "common" knowledge? New people enter the game every day. True, I can see about a 1:10 ratio of good guides to bad, heres just a few that I saw on the front page. No grammer, pictures, full infomation about the subject. < - Reported that one, never got locked. No grammer (some what), pictures, not even finished. < - Didn't report or I just don't remember. No grammer, pictures, just a tip like get materials and sell for cash. < - Reported, and never got locked. No pictures, a tip that just tells you what to do, not explains or shows. < - Didn't report cause I knew it probley woulnd't get locked as the two above didn't so there was really no point. Okay, I took a look at the topics you've mentioned: 1. I've never seen something like this before, don't know if it's useful to anyone or not. Didn't take a long time to produce, that's for sure. Sometimes we try to give people some time in case more is forthcoming. I'd prefer to have a rule that guides should only be posted when they are COMPLETE, but we don't. 2. We already have a monsters database, so this guide should have been locked right away. (Monster fighting tips can always be submitted to the Bestiary topic in Website Updates.) This topic was very old and the author is no longer at TIF. Someone seems to have revived the topic; I've locked it. 3. and 4. Money tips are the hardest ones to evaluate. That's all I can say. Adding another tier of forums won't really help, in the long run. I was an avid supporter of the AOW forum when it was first proposed, as I thought it would include only the few hand-selected guides that have stood the test of time. Instead, all guides from all forums were swept into it. Now it seems to have become an "American Idol" of wannabe guide writers, many of whom: a. joined Tip.It only a few days before posting b. have made no other posts on any other TIF boards c. have obviously not bothered to read other existing guides (forum or website) d. haven't read or understood the PMG forum rules e. ask their friends and clan mates to post saying "good job" on their topic to make the guide look popular  Basically, they seem to just want their "fifteen minutes of fame". Unfortunately, most RS players are young. It's not nice to tell kids that their stuff is garbage, even if it is. We are not here to hurt people's feelings - Real Life will take care of that sooner or later (*wink*). And in the meantime, people who would *like* to find tips or helpful player-made guides may glance at the PMG forum, see the mess, and decide to look elsewhere. One thing I think we can attempt - let's try to put "Skill:" or "Tip:" or something in the titles so people will know what it's about. So I retitled the last two topics you linked, so that it shows "Money Tip" in the forum index. Maybe that will better help people find what they need, anyway. Thus far I haven't been able to come up with any significant solutions for the "lame guide" problem that won't offend anybody, so ... here we are.

New reportable offense: be my gf/bf!
I was standing in a gnome stronghold bank when a kid asked a girl "Will you be my gf?" The girl turned out to be a pmod, and told him "that's a reportable offence". I was surprised, and asked when this had been implemented. She stated it had just been told to the pmods this week. I confirmed this with another pmod I know - he says it falls under rule 1. Now, "will you be my gf/bf" is a frequently heard and annoying query which has been tolerated since the game began. It actually IS a type of harassment, as girls (or guys) should be able to play the game without others assuming they are "available" for someone's sad purposes simply due to their gender. However, implementing a rule by telling the pmods seems pretty stupid to me, considering how infrequently they are seen in game. And you'd think that Jagex would announce it, though I suppose some people would go out of their way just to make trouble. Both pmods said you get a warning from Jagex rather than a black mark for the first offence. However, I thought people should be aware of this new rule. Also I'm wondering if anyone has posted about this on the RS official forums yet.

Mini-Games: The TzHaar Caves
I'm not sure what information is outdated etc, as I don't play this mini game myself. Please post your guides in the Player Made Guides subforum http://forum.tip.it/viewforum.php?f=113 (under the Archive of Wisdom forum) so that other users can take a look. We get a lot of comments that way, and can better understand what may need to be changed etc. Also you may want to read muggiwhplar's guides in the AOW http://forum.tip.it/viewforum.php?f=103 about Fight Caves without Guthans and without Defence.

Weekly Poll: Which version of our quest guides do...
I think the new condensed version needs pictures and tips to make it complete. (A picture is worth 1K words!) However, I like the *numbered* steps that tell exactly what to do, instead of the paragraphs that have too many things in them all together. It's easier to follow along with the steps, and if I have to leave it I know where I am when I come back. Just my opinion.

Latin Soldier Translations
Whoa, based on your post I bet I've got it! Please understand this is a Wild Guess, I don't know squat about Latin as I've only studied Spanish: Please give me a burger, french fries, and a milkshake. Lol! Tell me I'm wrong - that's gotta be it! Guys, guys, come on, can't believe you don't see it. You said "Da mihi sis bubulae frustrum assae" means "Give to me, if you want, a piece of roasted meat." Look at my verbatim guesses at the rest of the words: solana = golden (?) (from sol - maybe "sunny"?) tuberosa = potato (tuber) in modo = in the style of Gallico = French (Gaul) fricta = fried (ok this one I made up but I'm betting on it) so: "golden potato in the style of French fried" Similarly, "ac quassum lactatum coaglatum crassum" try verbatim "and a drink of milk frozen shaken (or last word might possibly be vanilla? or cold? guessing on that one)" Lactatum is definitely milk-related, nobody can argue with that. Coagulate means "to change from liquid into a thickened mass" - so frozen works there. So we get: Please give me a hamburger, golden french fries, and a milkshake.

Search is worthless
If your search term is too common the function cannot return ALL results (too many), so it just says no results. It bugs me too, but that's how it works. Sorry.

Skill Guide: Construction
Lol tripsis, not all of us are level 99 rank 32 Construction (nice!) To make Oak Doors you must be level 74 construction. Most guide readers (including this guide writer!) aren't that far along. I prefer the larder method myself - and I think after trying flatpacking for a while that the "tearout" step is no hardship (I hate sitting at that darn workbench!) But I also have more than one kitchen, lol. Will try to add the Door info for high levellers to the tips section in the next revision.

General Guide: Getting Around
Most of the above comments have been added to the latest guide draft. Wilderness teleport portals are still on hold :(.

Atlas: World & Wild
User jonno53 posted a teleport map (marked on the old Tip.It world map) on 20 March. http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=631373 However, please do post yours - it looks like it might be a better reference for the Crew. At any rate, a new transportation map would have to be created and posted separately from the existing Tip.It World Map.

Stop Turning Everything Into Subforums!
I was part of the group requesting that Player Made Guides be subdivided. The forum as it existed was hard to use, as it had become a lengthy list of topics, many of which were repeats of previous topics. It's divided now so that Skills, Mini Games and Quests are in one forum, and Monsters, Money-Making, Tips & Other are in a separate forum. Consider for a moment that Skills, Mini Games, and Quests are all addressed by official guides on Tip.It's website. Now consider that even after the forum split, 14 pages are in this category and only two are in the other. It should make it a lot easier for people to find money-making and monster fighting tips in the second forum. I'm also hoping to get guide authors to consistently label their topics, to make it easier for users to find one kind of topic (for example, Fletching.) I'm not equipped to handle a lot of "put it back!" complaints, but if you have suggestions for improving the organisation of the PMG forums I'd be delighted to hear them.

Also, Lighs is right about number 17 (errare humanum est - to be mistaken is human) The literal (word by word) translation may be as everyone stated, but we all know that teachers won't accept anything but the *equivalent* phrase, lol. (And kudos to those who are translating from Latin into their native language and then into English.) Again, I don't know any Latin, so I just bounced around the net a while and tried variants that may or may not be any good. (cerveza is beer in spanish ... for whatever that's worth.) One website (university of notre dame?) said this for cervus -isiam: cervus -i m. [stag , deer]; pl., milit., [stakes stuck in the ground as a palisade]. Finally, you have 15. Furnulum pani nolo. - I don't want a toaster. I am wondering if there is any way this translation can be stretched to "I don't want any toast." The toaster kind of leaves you wondering why - my suggested translation is a line from Red Dwarf, a British TV comedy. Hmm. Well. Actually the whole RD sketch is about a talking toaster that keeps offering people food when they don't want any, and it won't shut up. So maybe yours works as well. Heh.

More ranks...
I'd assume that people who've posted that much already know their own worth and don't need a new ranking. Just my opinion.
