Looks like you don't have sound drivers installed. :x Install the sound drivers for your motherboard. The manufacturer's website usually has the sound drivers for download.

Then you should probably take the video card out and then put it back in. See if it helps fix the problem (might be just a small video card error, or a video card failure).

Plug the monitor into another computer. That'll tell you if it's the monitor's fault or your video card's fault. :)

There's really nothing you can do. Read, sleep, or listen to an mp3 player (not an iPod.. do your research).

I believe the default channel for wifi connections is 6. I'm not exactly sure if it'll solve your problem, but it's worth a try. (you can always press the button to return the router to default settings)

Might be putting words into the mouth of someone, but knives669 has satellite I believe and it really does seem horrible. When she logs on msn she'll log off and on a few times from the sheer lag =\ I guess that makes sense. Your connection will only be as fast as the strength of the signal. :)

Geez you guys. Your school blocked it for a reason. We will not help you get around it. The only way is to talk to the IT people at school and ask them to unblock it.

I don't believe so. If DSL is not available in the area, then it's usually only satellite. I've never had a satellite ISP so I can't tell you how well the connection is. I do know that satellite connections can download at speeds comparable to DSL, but not upload speeds (which means you may not be able to play most online games, except for those which do not require much bandwidth). Upload speeds on satellite connections are comparable to dialup.
