  1. To the poster: if you want to post again, post something worth discussing. There are no rewards, no storylines, no plot, nothing! There are just names and I doubt any of us could read your mind. To everyone else: instead of going at it, just use the report post function next time and leave the thread alone. Locked. Both for flames and an inadequate post..

I just buy a scratchers once in a while, if I see the machine and I have a dollar to blow. The odds on the lotto are too low. :?

No need to make another post apologizing..

  5. Age topics never get any discussion. Or they get spammed. Locked.
  6. Fraps can show your FPS in games, record your gameplay, and take screenshots. It's good for making videos for things like Battlefield 2 or your clan killing er.. some monster in WoW.
  7.   Reminds me of Halo 2. Me and my friend basically glitched that game to no end. The PS3 has a slim and nice design, but it's far too expensive. Funny really, it's usually Japan get's any new item first, than Europe, than America. Europe has cellphones, mp3 players, untensils, appliances, etc... that haven't even been released in America, and they've had them for years now. No, usually it is Japan, America, THEN Europe. Nintendo decided to sell pink and black DS's in Europe first because they always get everything last. :P
  8. I've known this for years (I guess I've never realized how much I've learned from living in San Francisco). Hopefully this'll open some eyes
  9. I really am a fan of Sony and Playstation, but I dont think I'll be getting one of these anytime soon. It's too expensive :( They really need to clean up their act and make their customers happy if they don't want to go out of business! :?
  10. BF2! I've been waiting for something like this. :)
  11. Does the record movies function work?
  12. Enjoy your stay. :)
  13. What did you do prior to this? Did you reformat? There are two things I can think of: 1. You muted the volume. Start -> Control Panel Click "Sounds and Audio Devices" Check if the sounds are muted. If not, click advanced and see if any of those options are muted. (Leave microphone and line-in muted) 2. You may need to download drivers for your sound card. Tell us what model and brand your computer is and we should be able to find the right drivers..
  14. I took JROTC because it was easy. :x Our JROTC was pretty lame. I became a sergeant and I did absolutely nothing except teach my squad, lol..
  15. You're supposed to gradually change your sleep schedule. You should have started sleeping a bit earlier about a week before school started. 7 days before: 2:00 6 days: 2:00 5 days: 1:00 5 days: 1:00 4 days: 12:00 3 days: 12:00 ... Until you get to your desired time.
  16. You can post a hijackthis log to make sure that the virus is gone, if you'd like. We will look through it and check for anything evil :) http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/prog ... hijackthis
  17. It took me two tries to pass. I failed the first time for "not looking in my blind spot before merging into the bike lane to make a right turn". Passed it the second time with 5 minor errors. Just as a tip, exaggerate when you look over your shoulder. Make sure they see that you do so or else it'll be an error! Be calm, don't panic, and just drive. Don't be too freaked out or else you'll be making some dumb mistakes. :) And lastly, good luck!
  18. My guess would be the RAM. Have you tested your RAM for errors? http://oca.microsoft.com/en/windiag.asp

Depends what your state laws are. In California, you can get your permit at 15 1/2. You need drivers ed (which is usually a class that everyone takes in freshman or sophomore year) and at least 6 hours of driving with an instructor (40 total with anyone else). If you have a permit, you are covered by your "guardian", which is whoever you are driving with. You won't need insurance until you get the actual license :)
  20. Reinstall windows. Get the CDs from the original owner and redo it. :)
  21. I've had AVG for the last few years, but I've downloaded antivir recently. I've heard it's better than AVG, but there's a "license expires on.." :?
  22. Well, since we're talking about mp3 players and altoids cases... http://web.media.mit.edu/~ladyada/portfolio/2004/minty.jpg Minty MP3... it has some nice features like being able to run off of regular old alkalines and an FM transmitter :D That's actually really awesome, but too expensive for my tastes, lol. I might consider putting in the FM transmitter though, just in case a car has no AUX..
  23. I'd download Zone Alarm (it's free). I dont like the built in Windows firewall -- I personally disable it. I don't like Norton or McAfee either -- they take up way too much RAM with their multiple programs. My opinion anyways. http://www.zonelabs.com/store/content/c ... wnload.jsp You can also try Spybot S&D along with Ad-Aware. They work well if you use them both together. For browsers, try Firefox or Opera. I haven't tried Opera, but I've heard the two browsers are similar -- it's just up to personal preference. They both should have built-in popup blockers and are generally more secure (with default settings) than Internet Explorer. :)
