Guild Wars has problems with Intel laptop graphics chipsets (there are a few exceptions, but I dont think this is one of them). I downgraded my driver once, and it worked fine.. for a bit. You'll have to wait for NCsoft to work on a patch, or play on another computer.

Private colleges like Harvard usually have more scholarships for and financial aid-- look for financial aid, and take it. :) By the way, you should reject Harvard and come to UC Davis. :lol: lol, congrats.

1. Press Print Screen (this screenshots everything on your monitor) 2. Open up MS Paint or a similar program (photoshop, etc.) 3. Press ctrl+V or edit-paste. 4. Crop the selected region. Or if you'd like to capture one WINDOW, hold down ALT while pressing print screen. Follow the rest of the steps. This'll only capture what's in the active window. :)

This problem has been overdebated.. as much as I hate Mr. Dubya, I don't think there was much vote rigging (though there probably was some, since the system isnt' perfect). You download a torrent file, and use Azureus (or another bittorrent client) to download the file from other people. Most websites use it to save on bandwidth. :) I recommend Azureus.

Well first you'd save on the labor and on those dumb programs that come with the computer that you never use (yes, I believe those jack up the price). Even if you don't save any money, you'd still get a much better computer.

The second one isn't the recovery console? It usually is, unless you manually installed two..

I spotted this file, did a search on google and it said the following file was a virus (WORM_RBOT.BRQ) C:\WINDOWS\System32\windir32.e3e (CAUTION - executable file) (There are a bunch of services running for this file.. not sure about this one) There are a bunch of services running under this name, but I'm not sure if its a virus or not. Can a pro come in and confirm this? (I'm learning by watching the pros do their thing)

You don't have to buy anti spyware. There are plenty of free and great programs that you can download. :) Ad-Aware Spybot S+D Scan with those two, and see if they find anything. If not, try posting a HijackThis log and we'll see if we can find any problems.

Are you using an intel onboard video card? I know that crashes with Guild Wars sometimes (though I haven't tried it recently with the newest drivers). To update, go to your computer manufacturer's (or video card) website and download from there. And I believe the only way to check for AGP, PCI is to open it up and physically look.

This test is the main determinant in what college you're going to? :? That seems kind of unfair.
