  2. Is this going to effect the prices of barrows items, because as far I as I can recall, the more expensive barrows items (i.e. helmets) were more expensive because people were more likely to lose them because of their lower high alch value. With the item you drop now being decided by grand exchange value, are the prices of barrows items going to become entirely based around utility?
  3. I'm gonna go out on a limb here, and say that defeating Jad will probably be one of the requirements for the completionist cape
  4. I always bless every grave I see, unless the owner gives me a good reason not to (being a [bleep], for example), because hopefully, it'll encourage people to bless other people's graves in the future, making the world a generally nicer place
  5. A friendly group of people with a relaxed view on commitment, so long as they understand that real life events will always take precedence over ingame things, regardless of when they were planned, I'd be happy with them
  6. I've always been against people being able to cover their face in public, for any reason. A lot of corner shops have signs saying that no hoods are to be worn inside the shop, why should this be any different? The main problem with covering your face is the fact that so much of human communication is non-verbal and most of the emotion of what someone is saying is expressed through their facial expressions, if you can't see someone's face it can be difficult to interpret what they mean when they're speaking to you. I remember a high profile case from a few years ago about a teaching assistant in a primary school who lost her job because she refused to remove her veil while teaching and tried to sue the school, which is ridiculous, because the children would have still been learning to talk properly and it's a teachers responsibility to help with that process as the children will be watching them for large amounts of the day, if the children can't the person talking's mouth, how on earth are they supposed to learn to speak from that person
  7. Hardly; if I lend someone something it's implied that I want it back, if I give something away then I'm letting them keep it, I fail to see how these are the same thing. If lending is illegal, it is because it stops the necessity of the person who is receiving it to buy it, and thus, lowering the sales. Now, if you give it away, it's the same thing. To the people who [don't] get the product's money, lending and giving it away has the same effect. It stops a potential buyer from giving them money. Lending does yes, because that's essentially 2 people using 1 copy of the product. If the product is given away however, the product is still only being used by one person, while the person getting the money from the product may not necessarily be happy about this, it's not illegal
  8. Erm... no it isn't, giving away a CD that you no longer listen to isn't illegal at all. Because you're not keeping the CD, just because you've used it doesn't mean you have to keep it. The CD itself is your property and you can do what you like with it, what isn't your property are the rights to the tracks on that CD, if you just give the CD away you can no longer listen to it, unless you made a copy of it, in which case you have broken the law by illegally distributing the songs on the CD, regardless of whether or not you made any money out of it. Basically, if you give something away, but retain a copy that was never paid for, you are breaking the law. "All rights reserverd. Unauthorised copying, reproduction, hiring, lending, public performance and broadcasting prohibited." I'm pretty sure giving it away is covered by "lending". Hardly; if I lend someone something it's implied that I want it back, if I give something away then I'm letting them keep it, I fail to see how these are the same thing.

  12. Might not have been the first thing I did, but at some point I managed to start the Fight Arena quest, got to the part where you have to fight the hellhound and realised I had no chance of beating it, and no teleports available for me to get out, and for some reason I was carrying all my money with me (52k, it was a lot to me at the time) because I didn't want to lose my 52k I did the most logical think possible; I cancelled my subscription and didn't play for a month, so I spawned in lumbridge with my 52k

  15. Technically, every law passed by parliament has to be approved by the monarch first, and only the monarch has the power to dissolve parliament in order for a general election to take place, but the Queen can't really wield her power how she wants, if she tried to, we could have a repeat of the civil war on our hands, so nowadays, the monarch is just a figurehead for the government

  23. One scam I remember was when someone would offer say, 1711k for a whip, then change it to 1171k, so the person selling it loses out on about 600k (this was when whips were worth about that much) this one would have caught me out, had I not read a topic on here warning people about it
