Which 99 would you want IRL?
Runecrafting :-w What's the use of 99 mage if you don't have runes? If you had that you could make runes and then train your mage to 99... and make millions selling them to the government, for, you know, 'teleother jail' so police have it a little easier :wink:

Why do people hate Runescape?
People who say that are just adrenaline-pumped teenagers that can̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t get past the graphics and admittedly very simple combat system. Since all they care about is combat, they don̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t even look into the other aspects of the game. I say if those kids like the PvP and graphics of Warcraft so much, then they can go play that. But if you like a PvP system where you actually have something to LOOSE (you loose nothing in Warcraft when you die), RuneScape is the way to go ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ for that and for stuff beyond swordplay, battle magic, and those sorts of things. Another thing I see them complaining about is the horrible community̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâæ such things like people asking to be your boy/girl friend, beggars, ect. - obviously they are talking about the free version of the game. Well, if they are willing to pay for Warcraft, and not for RuneScape, then why are they complaining about the community? Imagine what Warcraft would be like if it were free ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ almost exactly like what RuneScape F2P is - probally worse because of how 'pretty' the game is.

Are you a spender or a saver?
Spender. I make a plan of what skills I want, make the money for it, then spend it, then I make new plans, make more money, and then spend it on those goals. I'm just not comfortable investing my money. I'm perfectly content to RC like there's no tommorow for all my needs. :

Skills or money?
Money is more valued in the general runescape population, it seems. Hanging out in Edge W99 shows that the majority of high level players own seemingly useless, expensive, yet stylish items. Me personally though, could care less about those types of items; I will not waste my money on them. I'd much rather spend 1m on gaining a few levels in a hard to level skill than spend it strutting my stuff. I used to own Dragon Legs and a Zamorak platebody, but I sold them in favor of torags. Just about the only 'fancy' items I own are ones I have gotten from treasure trails but have been too lazy to sell, like my two pirate hats and green boater, or the free or cheap kind, like random event clothing, hearaldic steel kite and helm, and things like those.

~Your View on full Guthans~
Yeah it is, especially if you have a 30% or higher discount from your smithing level + POH utility. :-w ... that's yet another thing people take for granted when they say 'construction sucks' :roll: In the long run it saves a lot of money on repair costs. But even before then, all barrows sets degraded much slower than you got drops to cover the costs of the repairs. And guthans saves a lot of time going back and forth to the bank, too.

Do you get annoyed being ask to do the skill cape emote??
It depends. If I'm doing nothing and they ask politely I usually do it, but I get REALLY annoyed when people ask and I'm obviously busy. Yeah I don't want to spend 15 seconds doing my long-[wagon] cooking emote every time someone asks. It might not seem like much, but it adds up when you have people asking every few minutes, or even saying 'do it again' after you just did it.

A small thought on "pixel huggers"
Think of it this way. During the time it would take some of these people to have enough gp for a blue party hat by doing meaningless repetive tasks in game they could have made enough real life cash to buy it on Ebay or something (i.e., using time working in real life instead of time in game for gp). That way, they spend less time on the game doing meaningless tasks, have more time for work and family, and get a nice blue party hat in their bank. To be honest, for people who can make cash fast and hate chopping down the same tree all day, it's a good move. It's debatable whether the system is corrupt or not, but the people buying those blue hats for $2,700 know what they're doing. That's exactly why Jagex made it illegal to buy/sell rs gold/items. It gives the buyer an unfair advantage in the game, because many of the players are minors without jobs. And yeah, that would be an incentive for 'scammers' beyond the pixels. If I were them that is what I would probally do (meaning if I were a scammer. no that dosen't mean i'd steal someones rare). Some people kill for less than that (RL money); so why would you put is past some people to simply betray their internet friend for for it?

POLL: Highest and Lowest RANKED stats?
Highest: Construction (around 4.5k) Lowest: Mining (around 300k lol) Explaination: Many people are too poor to get their con to level 72 lol. And TONS AND TONS of F2Ps mine, all day every day, thus why even level 66 earns me such a low rank.

Which do you respect more?
I respect just about any skill cape more than a fire cape. I mean, you see cooking and fletching capes three or four times a day or more, but if you go to a busy edgeville world, just about every level 100+ has a fire cape (cept me :(). I mean, you could get a fire cape on your first try if you're lucky enough; but with an achievement cape, there's no way to get it except to dedicate yourself for the nescicary time, and to spend the ammount of money that everyone else would. I only find fire capes more impressive than achievement capes when worn by someone under level 80; that is an impressive feat.

Relative Prices of Various Things
The reason barrows helms tend to cost more is because when people die (and people die at KQ with veracs a lot, and with guthans a lot elsewhere), they loose the helm. Less helms mean more expensive helms. And since helms are just as rare as platebodies at barrows, the helms will surpass the value of the plates, legs, and other pieces.

chrismass event reward and guide
Bad reward? You're kidding me... I've been wanting a reindeer costume for ages. If there was ever a bad reward, it was that crap zombie head. This one is much more seasonal than those wolly hats IMO... ya'll are just mad they're not tradable :roll:

Quest of the Year....and worst...
Best 1. Royal Trouble 2. RFD 3. Swan Song. Hands down. First brings in a TON of profit. Second not only gives the best gloves in the game, but gloves that totally beat the crap out of all the rest. I wouldn't wear any other pair of gloves for stats, not matter what class I am. Third has a great storyline, and gives access to the best method to train fishing in the game. And monkfish in themselves have, at least for me, replaced all other food I used to use. I used to be a lob person, but since monkfish are very easy to fish and cook, and heal better than swordfish, all I need to do is spend a day, fish and cook 3-4k of them, and whala, I have enough food for months. Worst Souls Bane Rag and Bone Elemental Workshop II Couldn't stand the first two. Crap reward, and horrible storylines. Third was a bit interesting, but the only usable reward adds only about 1 or two mage defense. (i mean the shield... the bear helm still beats the mind helm). And BTW, Animal magnetism might have had a bad storyline, but the reward is at the very least the best 'cape' in the game for ranged attack bonus. And it looks kind of neat.

Wakka's Rune Mining Method
Very nice guide. But this will probally get that place swamped though... I mean someone with the patience to get 85 mining surely has the patience to get the agility level and other levels for those quests, right? And I do think this is a very nice way of making money, however I certainly wouldn't get my mining up to 85 for it. I make 10k profit per trip through the abyss (75 RC), and somehow I think a nat running trip takes a bit less time than it would to world hop, and mine the ore.

// Best Runescape Updates of 2006 //
Construction: Been waiting for this for years, not exactly what I was expecting, but it is great nonetheless. I plan on getting 99 in this skill next year. Manage thy Kingdom change: GREAT moneymaker. Need I say more? Achievement capes: I love them... they make getting 99s worthwhile. Pleany of other awesome updates this year, but those were my favs.

// Worst Runescape Updates of 2006 //
Pure Essence <- Worst update EVER :notalk: Temple Trekking: Complete waste of time. New skill page that came with construction: I HATE having to hover over the skills for a second and a half to see my XP. Oh yeah, and the new player interfaces were bad too. Now I have to hover over the crap pictures of the emotes to see what they are, because I can't really tell them apart unless I do. There are only a few recognizable ones. And then now we can't see our equipment stats during battle. Great. Only good thing that came from that was closeup pics of our chars.

A little help with woodcutting.
1: yes it does help, but just not by a huge ammount. But at 99 there is a significant advantage over 75. 2: it is approxamately 20% better than rune axe, so you decide. And yes, unfortunatly if you lag out when the axe head falls off, there is a chance you will loose it... tbh that's why i don't want one.
