    1) The general consensus is that Nex's defense resets after every phase. Statius Warhammer seems effective, but only until the next mage dies. From that perspective, and the fact that no form should really be lasting extremely long, leech prayers aren't so useful. You can expect a 10-15% defense drop, but never as drastic as 25%. That being said, your choices are essentially 20% Range (accuracy and damage), 20% Attack, and 23% Strength, as compared to 5% Range, 29% Attack, 32.9% Strength, and a 10% defense drop for the phases where you're ranging. Rigour improves your range damage output significantly - there's really no doubt about that. The question is whether it's worth giving up the additional strength (hence more frequent 500 hits), additional accuracy with melee, soul split, and the defense drop. I really think having one person leeching per team is a decent idea based on what we know right now. Turmoil is probably comparable to Rigour if you're focusing on melee. 2) IMO, Spectral is a waste. Magic defense has very little benefit besides shifting the target from you to someone else. If you're not going to use Divine, Elysian, or Deflector, your best choice is probably EEKS. After that, just use whatever you feel like. Unholy Book, Blessed Spirit Shield, Wooden Shield. 3) Again, no reason for Spectral really. Full Pernix is definitely better than Divine defensively. I don't know if Pernix body beats out Divine like Ancient believes, but it's definitely at least comparable (20% healing versus 30% damage reduction at the cost of prayer, but doesn't affect special attacks). Your best options, factoring Pernix, are probably Full Pernix + Divine/Elysian or Elite Void + Pernix Top + Deflector.

This, with a few notable exceptions. Pernix Body > Armadyl Chestplate Divine Spirit Shield / Elysian Spirit Shield > Void Deflector Chaotic Longsword is a fair alternative to Chaotic Maul Might not win in DPS, but as far as saving healing, Divine/Elysian are definitely good to have, particularly if you're good at dodging attacks (which everyone who means to go Nex frequently should be). Pernix is obvious. EDIT: Obviously this isn't fact. It's just my impressions based on personal experience and observation of other teams.

Really? I tried Rapier at least a dozen times and simply couldn't get it to hit accurately, even in Karils. Also, Void favors weapons with higher base attack while items with +attack (Barrow Gloves, Fighter Hat) tend to benefit weapons with lower base attack.

Yes. I've been using curses exclusively, no noticeable difference.
  6. Yeah I've heard there's a 1/100 chance of getting Ceremonial robes which is a pretty decent drop rate. Thought I'd try them out to boost my bank a bit :-D You need a higher defense level. Since you don't have 99 defense, the other enemies won't stay off you unless your defense is much higher. You don't want to rely on potions - if you accidentally let it run down too far, you can die in a few seconds if the other enemies get on you. What's more: since you don't have Pack Yak or Imp-in-a-box, you can't bank your key, which means anything you lose on death is essentially lost for good. Honestly, it's not worth the risk in my opinion. Ceremonial pieces have dropped quite a bit, and only the Mask is really still particularly valuable. Boots and Gloves are down to like 1.5M. What's more; even with maxed combat stats, extremes, rapier and turmoil (piety is arguably better but turmoil uses less prayer), I can only get ~90 kills an hour. With your stats and equipment, you probably won't get anything close to that.
  7. What? IIRC, 96 prayer increases the prayer restore from each dose by 1.
  8. Prayer level for final breakpoint.
  9. Uh. Fall for what? I thought protect item didn't work in there...

If you melee as much as they do and have someone SOL tank the last phase, div/ely don't matter SOL tanking benefits from Divine/Elysian.
  11. Because PvP worlds were terrible.
  12. No, just disappointed that the original was already forgotten. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mUgf-M3A2BY
  13. D'hide is only marginally weaker than Karils in magic defense, which doesn't seem to make much of an effect. I wouldn't recommend either for a 3-man though. Three RCBs don't have the damage output you need in a trio. You just don't have enough accuracy, and Nex will outheal you. If you were going to use Vesta Longswords, or Chaotic Maul + Dragon Claws, you might be able to get away with RCB. Also, at the minimum you would want Divine, Elysian, or EEKS for a trio. Void / Deflector is a bad idea for 3-man. You're going to be torn apart by Nex that way - you want to be using Void + Divine or Void + Elysian (and be good at dodging attacks), or possibly Void + Deflector + Pernix Top. If you insist on doing it with three people, either do Void + Divine with a variety of Chaotics (Crossbow, Rapier at the minimum. Possibly Maul.) Or, full Armadyl + CCB + EEKS/Elysian/Spectral/Divine.
  14. If it's really that big of a deal, lend your ranger boots to a team mate, who will lend you theirs in return. That way you both protect them. Honestly though, if you're not ready to risk 22m to do well, you don't belong at Nex. You're going through at least 300K per kill in supplies anyways, and likely risking Chaotics.
  15. What do you think a grave and the ability to bless one's grave is for? To give you a second chance. Not a guarantee. If they wanted a guarantee, they wouldn't have items lost on death. This is completely off point. I had a guarantee that if I got to my items in X time they'd be there, and a glitch stopped that from being true. I'm warning people about that glitch. It was off-topic because the post I was responding to was off-topic.

  17. So let me get this straight: In Dungeoneering, you go out of your way to get max gear when it's in no way practical. In overworld Runescape, you use crappy equipment because you're afraid of not being able to get back in 15 minutes. Lolwut. Who said anything about using crappy equipment? I'm pretty sure he said to take stuff you wouldn't care about losing. If you're ready to lose your chaotics, then feel free to bring them.

I'd be up for it, and I know at least one person who'd be interested too. We've both hunted Nex with you before. :P Although, personally I prefer smaller teams. Closer to 6 than 10 for me, less chaos in the room. :D

I don't bring Extreme Defense potions and I turn off Turmoil occasionally with no problems... I just use Extreme Attack / Strength. Basically, all you need to remember is an antipoison and a charged key. It's not really a big deal. In comparison, with Arma KC, you need to remember your grapple, your KC bolts (if they're different from your boss bolts), and your Zamorak item. Armadyl item, too, if you're using Void with Divine/Spectral/Elysian (I don't go Armadyl much, so maybe it's not the optimal setup, I usually only go when friends want to and they want company).

like i've said, if you've nexed at all recently, you'll know that the worlds are basically empty sara and arma kc's arent so bad because youre doing them solo and dont have to wait for other ppl. and if youre not doing it solo i feel bad for you also, unlike sara and arma where 1 kc gives you enough time in the boss chamber for 10+ kills, a lot of times 1 kc will only give you 1 nex kill. so there's proportionally more time spent on kc. nex kc is also a bit more annoying because food can actually be an issue. key charges running out is an issue. mages getting on you is an issue. like i said, you wouldn't understand if you didn't nex Uhh... I've hunted Nex. In fact, I've hunted Nex with you before. Key charges are never an issue, mages getting on me is excellent, and food is never an issue. Are we doing the same kill count...?
  21. It has the same MAX. But it doesn't always hit max. Between 4 people, the chance of them all hitting max is fairly low. Without top-notch gear (if they were risking top-notch gear they'd be using Dragon Claws obviously), your max hit is barely higher than 400. 200 is not an unreasonable average. And nothing forces you to go anywhere. You don't have to kill the new slayer monster if you don't want to take the risks. Or you could 3-item. Or you could actually take risks, and be rewarded. Isn't that the whole point of the Wilderness? Risk-versus-reward? So what you're saying is, an area that's meant to favor teams, hence the "multi" designation, favors teams? What a calamity. there is a difrence between "favors teams" and "teams rule" aka, yea its multi, getting attacked by more then one player is fair. but unles your in full torva with a devine, good luck even beeing able to fight back when 6 players with claws come out to pile you. You should "fight back" by having 6 people with claws pile them back. Sure, you might still die, but so will they...

  23. I think any group of 6 people able to rush someone with some degree of coordination without accidentally targetting each other would have better things to do than use Korasi's. Aforementioned claws, for instance. :P whateva thay end up useing, your still dead without the ability to fight back. not fun. No ability to fight back? No one can attack you in the Wilderness unless you can attack them too, to my knowledge.
