The reason why they DO NOT do this is twofold. Firstly Jagex has had the Combat Level being displayed since the beginning (or at least for the most part). Secondly Runescape follows the RPG basic formula in regards to the games purpose. "Kill things, get stronger, kill bigger things". That's what all RPG's are about, fighting enemies and gaining levels to fight bigger things. All of these other skills are just filler to show that "You don't HAVE to fight if you don't want to". This is coming from someone with only level 81 Combat and 1270 Total Levels

Really? That's something interesting that I did not know. I suppose I'll always be stuck on the RSC way in which the Pickaxe gave you the number of hits on the rock. Thanks for the info!

Now that there are three I suppose we all are rooting for Uloveme and Divine God to dig deep and get five people maxed out. These people are dedicated but that dedication does require sacrifices whether good or bad we cannot judge it is up for them to judge their own actions and come to terms with what they've done.

It was a roundabout way of saying what happened and I do apologize.

Placebo Effect pl0x? Honestly though here is what must have happened. You decided to wear mystic robes whilst fishing, you noticed that you were getting more because you in fact got a few sharks faster than usual because of the blind luck/random chance of getting a shark. Coupled with the fact that you are wearing mystic robes you gather the idea that these mystic robes are actually beneficial to you. Hundreds of experiments have been done like this and they all have similar conclusions, if you give someone a suggestion and others agree with this suggestion with no actual effect being displayed you will begin to notice the suggestion is becoming true even if it only occurs once in a while. It's similar to this weeks Tip.it Times how many people notice Jagex's common banning but not their helpfulness towards their players.

Or you can look at the Knowledg Base's Runecrafting Guide and it tells you there, so it's not a real surprise but I suppose Jagex expects most peoples computers to be able to run two browsers at once.

Great adventures! Sounds like you had a jolly good time. Always fun seeing a level 123 beg.

In-Regards to your Latest Trials and Tribulation (no pun intended): Holy Mahogany! You are either a most chivalrous person or very protective of your girlfriend. Only you know the full story (the details of who this was and their relation to you) so it's hard for us to judge but in case you care what some random stranger on the internet thinks, "There is never a good enough reason to lay harm against another man". This is very cliche but violence is never the answer and sometimes it's better to think things through rather than let your hypothalamus do the walking. Honestly I hope the charges are dropped (boys will be boys probably) and be sure that your Girlfriend testifies for you and against the other guy for sexual harrassment. -
Says the man with full infinity. On-Topic: I would go with the boots and gloves for stats (because there's probably something better out there for headgear) but the Hat just for style because when you do the Jig you're doing a Hat Dance (Because it looks like a sombrero... you know... the mexican hat dance? Sombrero? Waste of a joke, sorry)

Tip.It Times Presents: The Nightmare of Customer Service
tefda replied to oddfaery2's topic in General Discussion
You're right to have deja vu, because it has been posted before. http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=422202 Who could forget a great intro (one that is completely 100% true) like that? I've already read it and I would have thought most of us had. -
^^Are you sure it wasn't condemn?^^ This thread is filled with some uber high posters. I enjoy it when people bump up incredibly old topics that are full of the old ways of Tip.it with all the old community leaders and whatnot. It makes me wish that I was there for that time.

I got one about five minutes ago cutting willows in Draynor. It's hard to tell which one is which unless you're at a birds eye view of the game.

Well we got them from the Elves. I assume they use them to attack others from their gates without being harmed. Not everything in Runescape needs to have a plausable reason. Why is it that an animate rock spell will only work twice in a quest but never outside of it? The spell is still there, the magic is still there so it should work, but it doesn't and there's no reason for it. The game has no time period and it is a result of several people's imaginations combined. If you've ever played D&D (Dungeons and Dragons) you would know that the DM (Dungeon Master) can create anything into his world even without a reason (although it is better if he has a reason) and this is what the team at Jagex has done.

u still dont realise it do u? most people r too lazy to search and people dont want pld topics just coming back like that No, he does realize this which is why he is trying to help out the community by focusing alternate threads into the first thread (or most relevant) that was posted. It would have been better for him to instead of just speculating about the fact that there is another Easter Thread he could have given the Link to the other page that was indeed put out before this thread. Samus, the people you are describing are the bane of Forum dwellers, try not to be one or condone people who are in fact doing as you so aptly described. Don't be a moderator, but guide them as if they were a pal.

Again I would really like to emphasize the need to tone down the religious overtone you've got playing in all your posts about your order. You seem as if you're at least interested in Secret Socities and whatnot so perhaps it's best not to make references to them as some on these boards would find it in poor taste and are leery of such things Have fun with it (as I see you are doing so) calm down whilst typing and try to not put too much thought into your "History" of your "Order" as it's just a game. Edit: Please type to the best of your ability on these boards, even if you think it's funny you'll never earn the respect or at least the ears (metaphorically speaking) of these boards if you cannot type with accuracy and proper spelling. So at least here, type well, on your own boards that you will probably put up, type insane there, let's keep Tip.it Grammatically sound.

So I've looked over you site a bit and I have a few things to say about the site. 1.) The Design is nice and I do like the logo and the broken earth background. 2.) While the design does look familiar to the OoC site it does have some very different qualities to it (such as it's transparent background and it's more varying use of colors, no offense to the OoC) 3.)The site is basically your manifesto in which you believe that Cabbage (and indirectly the OoC) is evil and you need to go out of the way to destroy it. Your site delivers your message fairly well I got the picture. 4.)There is a strong tone of harshness whilst reading your site. It reminds me of the Daily Hate in the book 1984 and how everyone gets hyped up for those two minutes and that's all their allowed. You give a feeling of anger but it only lasts those two minutes, I don't think it's worth it. 5.)I'm not sure if English is a second language to you or if you were really eager to type up the site. I suggest you go through your site either with an english dictionary or a fine-tooth comb and sort out your grammatical errors. That's all for the site now for some personal commentary on your ideas. It seems like you're doing this order/cult or what have you out of spite for the OoC. The uniform is very similar, you're picking up vegetables as well, you directly tell your members to burn cabbages, etc. Now if you're doing this because you've come to terms with the OoC's philosophy with the game and you want to express your understanding of it but in a different way than that's cool, you just show your affection for the OoC in a strange way. Now the OoC isn't actually about the Cabbage, it's about having fun and having a community of people working towards a common goal. The philosophy behind their actions is almost mind-blowing once you understand it completely for the first time. From what I've interpreted from the OoC's actual website and the history on their site here's the ideas behind it. Clicking on a Runite Rock and clicking on a cabbage are one in the same. Neither give you any (lasting)happiness or benefits in the real world. It's just clicking and clicking. But why do you click on the Runite ore rather than the Cabbage? Because it gives you money in the game? Does that in-game money make you happy? Those clicks lead to happiness as well as clicking cabbage, they are both one in the same, so long as you're having fun why not click on the cabbage? Cabbage is just a facade for the deeper meaning of the OoC's ideas. It was always about having fun. It was always about enjoying yourself. It was never about the Cabbage. To this Grand Master of Potatos I wish you good luck on your endeavors and I give you some words of caution and advice. -Do not try to overturn the OoC as they have been around for many years and have a strong fan base. -Making a group just to spite another group is discrimination in a primitive form (It's vaguely true, they are making acts against the OoC) and it's never right to hate someone else because they don't agree with what you think is best. -Tone down the seriousness of your Website and your doctrines. You seem far too engrossed into it and I assume you're trying to have fun with it but it's going a bit too much. -Don't be discouraged by people saying you are unoriginal. I consider this to be a parody, perhaps in poor taste, but still a parody. -Your Potato Secret Society is no longer a secret anymore so you may want to give some more information about your group, offer the visitors something unique! That's all I have for now and I hope you manage to pull off this group it might be interesting to see Potato crashings alongside Cabbage bombings.

Yes as Imcleith said take the Bullseye Lantern. It never extinguishes unless you manually do it. For the caves I would suggest you start up Lost Tribe Quest and then you can get to the Cave Slimes easier and start up the Tears of Guthix quest much easier as well. A word to the wise, never take an expensive item into an unknown territory. Read up on places either here at Tip.it or at the RS Knowledge Base before you go adventuring.

Definetly not, the World Map is update with it so it's the same on Low Detail.

perhaps really high slayer exp for a bad assignment?
tefda replied to jessy87's topic in General Discussion
Hmm... Good question. They are monkeys (unless Jagex decided to be clever and label them as Gorillas or Apes or some other classification of a monkey). You should try this out next time you get a monkey assignment. Edit: Nevermind. Buffrichies knows all :) -
So the Bridge is no longer jagged, it doesn't zig zag it is now a straight line to the tower so that means it's out further in the water. The Tower looks far more handbuilt and you can see the stones jutting out a little bit. The Stairs are much different, the floor (on the main floor a.k.a. Ground Floor) is now stone which makes more sense (they cast out fire spells so the floor better not be wood!) The basement looks very similar but they added in some furniture and extended the back room a bit. That's all for the basement but otherwise the Wizard tower is beginning to match up with it's surrounding area.

That basically insulted 50% of America's Religious folk (figure was made up it's probably much more than that). Word from the wise don't say that kind of stuff. On-Topic: Any new monster for us to kill would be interesting. But I would like to see a sea creature (pun intended) but I do like some of it's special effects that would be incorporated. Edit: Sorry Bubsa but it was kind of rude for a person to say such a thing

Ode to the women who made an impact in the beginning of RS
tefda replied to Casperchilindo's topic in General Discussion
C'mon, these are pretty weak reasons to be excluded aint they? Don't you mean Included? Surely there must be some deeper reasoning behind "Patriotic" because that could be anything from flying your flag on the fourth of July or Painting your house in Red White and Blue. But it's his list and he has the right to put anyone up there for any reason actually. -
I found the Goblin one to be the absolute best. I'm glad that we're getting more and more fakes on the boards. Thanks to bloodveld and his great tutorial.

Would you guys say that this new mini-game is the Instanced adventurers that Jagex Promised so long ago? Each time you go through it can be different. It seems very likely and I'd accept it as the randomly choosen adventures, but I was hoping for something bigger than this. Such as an adventure across all of Runescape in which any quest you've done could play a role (you need to get into Zanaris because there are rumors of a Elven Civilian having become lost there for example).

I'm one of those folks who likes to do all of the task himself. If I were to go off and burn shades I would be collecting my own sacred oil and chopping my own trees. Unfortunately I'm similar to many other people in that respect. Most of the players on Runescape (as far as I have seen) will get their own supplies to do the task. As someone else said above, it's too much supplies to make it really useful. You need to be able to kill the lower shades or repair the temple then get the sacred oil, then go into the Shades Lair and kill more shades all the while cremating them to get that experience. I think I'd rather go kill Green dragons for Dragon Bones and then use the ectofunctus. But that's just me.
