Jagex's 2008 Finances (includes graphs)
Nice info. Maybe people would rather free up their money for other uses rather than keeping it all in one company. Also, I would imagine there is less risk if you don't keep all you assets in one company.

Noobs. I hate them.
I'm f2p and level 120+ but people never bother me even when I wear my party hats. You just hang out in the wrong places.

Finally: Runescape Classic coming to Rs2
It seems a lot like my bunny ears idea. Bunny ears are good, I wear mine always. I am not opposed to the other ideas like the cape or emote either. I just pity those who could have gotten the bunny ears but missed because they were not playing when Jagex dropped them. P.S. Jagex worked in UK/England time then so they only dropped bunny ears during the day, IIRC, their time so a lot of people missed it. For example, 2 pm in England is 6 am in California (not good at all).

Finally: Runescape Classic coming to Rs2
:ohnoes: How about a simple update that uses items we already have? Just make it so that everyone who has an account old enough gets the bunny ears (trust me, you'll never wear the scythe). That way: 1.) All the people who missed the drop still get the item. 2.) No more posers who say they are old players but just "missed" it. I don't think we need any additional items since we already have items carried over from RSC. Pic of bunny ears:

Rate my bank <<<6 phats, 21 other rares>>>
Thanks for the ratings. Yeah, I don't sell the phats because it reminds me of the good times. Also, it helps to *not* have 1 billion worth of materials in the bank because it gets boring then. I always buy like 10 mil worth of logs then *never* use them lol. :ohnoes: Then I have to sell them again. Same with ores, bars, etc. I prefer "unbuyable" skills anyway. As you can see my highest non-combat skill right now is fishing (93). You can't buy that! I cook the fish I get so cooking is next at 92. Theiving is third highest skill and my highest ranked skill at level 91. :) You can't buy theiving exp either. Woodcut/fletch are both at 85 since I pair up that skill that way. :)

Total levels overrated?
Oh bah, if we are going to count the worth of skills based on difficulty, I would need like 10x more respect since I got my 99s in RSC. RSC exp is 10x slower, you know. :P

Rate my bank <<<6 phats, 21 other rares>>>
Dunno, just not interested in P2P for now. It's become very complicated there. F2P is more laid back and simple so I don't have to think and analyze anything. I just play casually now.

Rate my bank <<<6 phats, 21 other rares>>>
Fixed it, I think it should be fine now.

Thank you.

Rate my bank <<<6 phats, 21 other rares>>>
Well it's a new year and I was bored and decided to post here. I've been playing since 2001. Please rate the bank. Comments are most welcome. Not sure about total worth, erm, a few mils or something. Rares are from the holiday drops when I was playing. I used to have a lot more but I gave away most of the rares. :) Bank pic: The original image host seems to be down, um same bank pic another host. Unbuyable: Other *cough* assets: Stats are not too bad, er maybe. :P] RS2: RS1: The link on my sig is my RS site which already has my other pics.

Lifetime Subscriptions?
The one who ratted out SixFeetUnder was banned too wasn't he? That is how I remember it. Lifetime subscriptions could be offered to one or two people for special things but as a regular offering, probably not. It could be done, I guess. Jagex does have all the member stats so if, for example, most people pay for 2 years, they could offer lifetime subscriptions for $200 (3 years plus change at $5/mo P2P). Kinda like a buffet/eat-all-you can restaurant. Yes, there will be a certain percentage of people who will eat a lot and therefore the restaurant would lose money on those particular people *but* the manager knows where to set the price such that they don't lose money based on the average person.

Am I the only one who thinks AGS is not worth it??
It depends on what you do a lot. I barely melee anymore (all maxed and I am doing skills) so spending that much would be pretty useless since 99.99% of the time it would just rot in my bank while I am ranging, maging, theiving, etc. On the other hand, if I were still meleeing 90% of the time as I used to, then spending whatever amount woul dbe worth it. In the example below, if AGS truly does own Bandos and the player spends most of his time there, then for him it would be very much worth it.

Is there too many quests?
Too many useless and annoying quests like the one we just had with all the stupid sliding in the snow caves with crap rewards. \

Making the General Store useful again?
Er am I the only one who still frequently uses the Gen Store to buy hammers, tinderboxes, chisels and such when I need them? I simply can't be bothered to search for things like that in my bank so I just head off to the nearest Gen Store then drop the item when I am finished.

Levels of Respect
130 on p2p, 123 on f2p and nobody ever talks to me unless I know them or I talk to them first. Then again, nobody ever talks to me on my level 12 also.
-
Your Opinion?
I got all my current 99s before the skill cape was out and they are all melee 99s. Frankly, I would only get 99 if 99 was useful. Well, maybe if I *really* enjoyed a certain skill I could get it to 99 just for the sheer pleasure of it but deliberately aiming for 99 for me is purely for the skill effects it has. Ex. 99 str allows you to get the highest hit 85 mining lets you mine the highest level of ore so 99 isn't needed

One year has passed !
Yeah well, I happen to love herblaw. Bah. The people posting are those who are left after all the people unhappy with RS quit so obviously it's going to be pretty one-sided. Except, apparently it does.

The time has (almost) come!
They release new skills regularly because every time they do, there is a surge of new member subscriptions. So yeah, new skill coming up in 2009 I woild say. I have no idea what it could be, though. Of the skills we have, theiving needs an update. Not a minigame, a real update with more npcs that you can pickpocket for better rewards. Or something else to integrate it properly into RS. Pyramid Plunder is nice but that is one tiny place in the entire Runescape world.

Runescape Classic Fact Sheet -updated july 29-
23 levels impure??? Is that even possible at the time? 92 magic prayer would do it but no one had 92 prayer back then, from what I remember.

Tip.It Times Presents: A Lack of Clarity, and Nerfing
Well some bugs are excuseable since they are so random and hard to find anyway. \ Others are so obvious you have to wonder what the team was on not to realize them like the house bug. Jagex definitely needs better beta testing. Nice article.

RuneScape formulas revealed!
Dude you have no idea what you are talking about... Mage affected your combat in RSC. Where do you think the term pures came from? People would not train any magic and have their hp way above their combat level. Range and mage count in combat formulas in RSC. In fact, magic *always* counts. Range counts only if it is double your hp or otherwise much higher than your other stats. It is not possible to have a level 3 with 99 magic in RSC. *rolls eyes*
-
RuneScape formulas revealed!
No. Mage and range count in combat formulas if they are much higher than your other stats. Otherwise if you had a character with level 10s on all melees and 99 magic, it would be extremely low level, which would be dumb since the 99 magic (or range) would be extremely powerful.

Banning for unabuseable bugs.
Maybe the people who reported don't know that the summons don't give you advantages. After all, a bug abuser would be dumb to just admit he is bug abusing like mad.

trawler + humidify, morally wrong? or just smart?
It just destroys the fun of the game (and yes, some people like to have fun instead of exp) when so many people are just sitting there freeloading without getting into the spirit of things. I'd be annoyed if there were more freeloaders than actual players.

Efficiency over Enjoyment
I don't do that. In fact, I have never done that even though I was on the top 50 for over a year (fighters hiscore only). I don't care which place gives the *most* exp, if I don't like the place, I never go there. I trained in wildy all the time even though many other places were more efficient and safer. ;) I just liked it better where I was since it was more exciting. That's why I hate when people put their oar in and give unsolicited advice like "Meili you should go to _____ it has the best exp for your level" kind of thing. I don't play for exp.
