I don't know about when he was low level but when he was high he would train in wildy so I doubt very much he autoed. I used to train with him sometimes.

Wow this sounds like a lot of work! That's my first reaction. Imagine being a members RS player Pmod - you basically pay Jagex for you to do events and moderate for them. Gosh. I used to make events and judge for a clan, it's a lot of work!

Actually I have noticed a difference to player's attitudes when I play on a low level female char. People are generally more willing to help out a low level girl.

Yeah I quit over the RWT updates. Cancelled subscriptions ...considering I have been p2p since the first day P2P came out way back in Feb 2002 lol that ws a biggie for me. What is the source of this 100k info? If it is right though, this means even more people than 100k quit over the RWT updates since I and many others did no quit right at that time exactly. I still had a friend I was playing with so I quit 2 months later but it was basically because of RWT updates. All the stakers pretty much quit, too I bet. RWT pretty much said to them "oh yeah you can't do this anymore." Lol.

On the Mechscape article: It is inevitable that Mechscape will "cannibalize" players from Rs if MS becomes successful. Most people would not have the time to play two MMORPGs and a lot of RS players so people will be leaving RS for Mechscape. The one thing I hope and trust Jagex has done is to make this new game RWT-proof. It can be done. :P

Which is the point of this thread. To let you know that it is. Yes, I know. Ah, Jagex should just put in a something that makes it impossible to say the same old thing over and over every second.

To OP: This is a very good post! Well written and I agree with everything you said. Really it puzzles me to this day why one earth Jagex felt that it was necessary to change the PvP gameplay so much with all these complicated rules.

I am a girl on the internet.There really are quite a few of us. Women have had a long history in Runescape. Many of the first players and famous people were women in real life. The first smither who got 99 smithing was Bluerose13x. She was extremely powerful and rich during her time since she was literally the only source of player-smithed items. The first person to get 99 fishing was Tks and all the top crafters were also women. Women in Runescape are everywhere, as old school players, clan leaders, skillers, pkers and player moderators. Yet in spite of all this, the female RS players must contend daily with the opinion that she does not exist. "There are no girls on the intarwebs!" "You aren't a real girl." "I don't believe you are really a woman." Why this persistent belief that nobody female would ever play RS? Do we need the XY genes to click a mouse? Obviously not, yet I have met many, many players who are genuinely convinced that female RS players cannot possibly exist. The reasons are many, varied and also rather pathetic. "All the girls I know irl don't play games, they just go out for meals." This is an absolutely genuine reply I have gotten from a (presumably male) RS player. Yes, he really thinks women do nothing but go out for meals. When the RS player insists that, yes, she really is a girl, the replies are entirely predicatable. "No pic no proof." "You're not a girl if u don't show us pics." "Get on ventrilo." "Webcam." Men do not need to go on ventrilo/webcam or show their pics to everyone who asks just to prove that they exist. Why do women have to bother? One time I joined an IRC channel for a Runescape-related community. Right away, I got kicked. Then again and again until I gave up on reading the final message (and the reason for the kicks) "[bleep] off, there are no girls on the internet." Another reason I have been kicked from IRC -"[bleep] or gtfo." I have also been told that Jagex even tells Youtube to delete videos of private servers. Wow, if they would only put more of their energies on reviving RSC then they wouldn't even need all these lawyers. It's not like they would need 10000000000000000 customer service staff. I bet you one or two people could easily moderate RSC and get rid of all the cheaters.

A cape? Uh, nice. I want one. Private servers are different from each other. The one I played that Adx plays has a crap community. Players don't really need to train so their characters/stats/banks are worth nothing so they are free to behave in whatever stupid manner they want. Most unfortunately, they have a global chat that is flooded with idiocy. Also, some noobs kept asking me for *cough* nvm can't say it here in Tip It. *cough*. The one that I and many other people play (it is one of the largest if not the largest RSC priv server) has only 2x exp for regular players. The community has its jerks :roll: just like in real RSC :P but most people are alright. Due to its size, you can also easily find likeminded people. There are also a lot of old schoolers there.
