I fear player - owned servers will suck! However, I know I will at least try them out. It wouldn't bring back the old RS Classic but it would be cool, especially if I don't need to train my char back to 99 92 99 (RSC stats from when RS2 was launched).

The majority of people HERE on Tip It agree that girls/women do play RS. Try asking the people in game! The people who are smart enough to actually find Tip It and post here are smarter than you average RS player. Heck, even compared to other fansites/fanforums, Tip It has a higher average IQ, age and proportion of females posting. :)

I love Tip It. I have been posting here since *before* RSC was opened. The thing is, I stay here because more posters read other posts. On RSC barely anyone reads, they just read the first post, or sometimes even just the subject/topic before they post.

Thieving NPCs takes the most clicking and a lot of it is even right clicking not left like mining. Farming has the least clicking needed. :)

My POH is not actually a house. It's really a temple to Zamorak. I use it to worship my RS god of choice. Often, I wear my Zamorak vestments and sacrifice on his altar the bones of my enemies. I also sometimes invite other people to join me. Yeah, I roleplay in my POH. Sue me.

One of my friends used to pay me in santas instead of gps, thats the only reason I have them I don't even think I picked up more than one during the drop. When phats were still cheap, around 100k each, I traded a rune large for a white phat and Sue Me told me that was a dumb trade since larges are player smithed items (and useful) while phats are useless. :lol: A year later I gave him the white phat when it was already worth millions. He sold it for runes! :)

Of course some people buy without selling. If every buyer were also a seller, as you suggest, scarcity would never increase. Most circulating phats are bought and sold by merchants, but every now and then some regular player buys one and squirrels it away in her bank. That makes the remaining circulating hats that much more rare (and expensive). You don't have to say "hoards" like that. It's so negative. :P Just because some people enjoy having their party hats and never sell them doesn't mean they are bad people. I've been playing since 2001, with 6 phats in my bank and 21 minor rares. :P I have never sold any although I used to give them away back when we were all happy in RS Classic. :) Does that mean I "hoard"???

Actually there used to be a common form of making people dc while pking (ping flood) from way back in RSC. Jagex banned people for that so I hope they do it this time. True but there is no way of really telling who the user is. Sending someone a link to a page or an image would be enough however. Whereas IRC is alot more accurate. Anyway its a DOS not DDos, pretty sure its just constant pinging of the rs port which could easily be done from one source. Simple way around it is BNC or reset your IP before pking and don't visit any IRC while doing so.. So it is ping flood? Meh, how do they pinpoint your computer, I guess this would only work on people with static IP addresses? I have a shared IP though so probably it wouldn't work. I don't know much about this though. Mercifull, don't you remember when Lightning was ping flooded? You don't do it on one computer.
