Farming. I am just a poor farmer
-
Personally I think it depends on what you are growing. I use Compost on Potato, Onion, Cabbage and Tomato and Super Compost on the rest whether I am getting the farmer to look after the crops or not. Super Compost will increase your harvest but not enormously. Use potato as an example, using Compost, you will get between 6-20 from one patch. Using Super Compost, you will get between 7-25. Since I don't have that many pineapples to make Super Compost, I just use Weeds :) The choice is yours.

Most people use the abyss to rc laws or natures (some people use it to rc chaos and deaths too). If you can access it, you would have got the small pouch from the zammy monk and you only need the medium pouch (you can't use the others just yet). The abyss is a multi combat area, so do keep that in mind. Your thieving and agility levels are definitely not enough to use those entrance but your mining level could be ok (I never managed to find a guide that outline what levels are required to use the entrances). So you will need a pickaxe. Do watch out for the pkers though. Once you entered the abyss, you will be skulled and if they kill you, you lost everything.

Prayer don't protect 100% in the wildy from pkers. Ring of Life doesn't work if there is a teleblock on as well. Personally, I think RC Pkers are scums. The last time I got pked, I spent 1 hour in the abyss getting back the pouches as well as 8 Prayer Pots (4 doses each). I am not a combat person, but if my combat level is high enough, I may just hang around there and attack other Abyss Pkers! Nowadays I only use the Abyss if I need my pouches repaired. Never use it when I am skulled.

I cannot remember at this stage but I think the iron chainmail and bronze med will only get you into the fortress. If your combat level is less than 67, you will still get attacked.
-
I think they are between 150-200 each. By the way, I also think this is the wrong forum for price check.

if i loose my gnome amulet can i get it back ?
yptee replied to thewizardoffoz's topic in Help and Advice
Yes you can. Just talk to the king again in Tree Gnome Village. -
There are no dungeons in Seers to begin with (well, there is an elemental workshop but there are no dragons there). If you haven't done Watchtower, the best place is Hero's and Taverly Dungeon though they can be quite crowded at times.

Knowing that you have helped someone is a reward in itself. I do acknowledge that there are some players in RS who lack proper manners and therefore it can be frustrating to help out those. But equally there are some new players who are very polite and will thank you appropriately after you have helped them. We shouldn't be put off from helping others because of a small number of immature players. When I started playing about 6 months ago, I was mining coals west of Seers and kept getting attacked by Giant Bats. The guy who "rescued" me in now one of my best mate in RS :)

Nice guide there. I don't have a lot of cash to buy magic seeds, so I guess I just have to level up the slow and painful way :( I have a question: you said Coconuts can be sold for 2-3k each. I have been trying to sell mine for a long time (at 2k each) without much success. I think I have around 2k of them. Do you know where I can sell them? Another thing you can add to your guide: picking fruits. When a player have a number of fruit seeds, it is worth planting them from the lowest level (apple) to highest level (palm) and leave the palm tree till he/she gets more seeds. When he is doing the farming round, he can pick the fruits and calquat as well. This is worth about 1.4k xp per round. Assuming 3-4 rounds a day, that is 5k xp. I use the following routes, which can be implemented into your farming route: Farm in Catherby, then pick the fruits there Teleport to Ardougne, farm there Take a boat to Brimhaven, pick fruits and calquats and get some pineapples as well, back to Ardougne east bank Go south west from Ardougne east bank, pick the bushes there then to the fruits west of tree Gnome maze Talk to the gnome at the maze entrance to get there then spirit tree teleport to Gnome Stronghold for the fruits there It is an essential part of a poor man leveling up farming if he doesn't have millions to spend.

Didn't realised that Jellies drop level 3 scrolls as well. I got an assignment to kill around 150 Turoths over the weekend and got 3 level 3 scrolls (my first 3 ever). So I presume they drop the scrolls regularly.

Read page 19 to see how much Jagex hates ME!!!!!
yptee replied to Hounded's topic in General Discussion
RSN yptee Reason I have to be honest, I cannot think of a reason why I deserve it more than the others here. I spent all my time and money I earned leveling my non-combat skills that I don't even own a full rune while I am level 83. Any items, particularly armors, will help in speeding things up. You have obviously spent a lot of time and money on your accounts, it is always sad to see an established player quitting. I am not sure if you will change your mind but if you do, it will be an honour to add you on my friends list. -
Combat as a percent of total XP - now with data and charts!
yptee replied to swampjedi's topic in General Discussion
You had it the other way round, it should be 2,136,581 divide by 3,910,201, i.e. 0.5461 or 54.61%. -
Combat as a percent of total XP - now with data and charts!
yptee replied to swampjedi's topic in General Discussion
I think I have one of the lowest percentage around: Total = 16,578,175 Combat = 3,100,703 Percentage = 18.7% I am just not a combat person  -
One of the nicest and most polite person I ever met in RS is a 50+ yo guy. His character is very high level (around 120 combat), I met him while smelting cannonballs. He told me that his wife plays RS too. I have also met some extremely rude player whose first word is "I hope you will die" even though I did not do anything to him. I cannot agree more that you meet people from all ages and all walks of life in RS.

The way I see it is Jagex never regard RS fan sites as a threat. The release of Knowlege Base, in my opinion, is just improving their customer services. Players should view them as complimenting each other instead of competing with each other. The Knowledge Base is a guide created by the people who designed RS whereas fan sites are created from feed back of the actual players. Apart from that, Jagex will never put the step by step guide to the quests in their Knowledge Base.

Tip.It Times Presents: Biased Banning Raises Brows
yptee replied to oddfaery2's topic in General Discussion
First of all, well done to tip it who bring this to our attention. It is indeed a very serious problem that will affect most of us. I started playing RS about 6 months ago, after quitting another popular online game (with probably 10 times more active players than RS which I did not want to mention the name). The reason is because the administrators have become so paranoid that they ban players indiscriminately and never listen to what players have to say. When I play a game, I want to enjoy playing it, not playing the game with fear and having to think "Am I breaking any rules?" every time I chat to a friend etc. I disagree with what people said earlier about Jagex is banning players because they want less players. This does not make commercial sense (it is afterall, a business and a way to earn their livings for people working in the company). My guess is that they were reluctant to ban rules breakers in the past because they need to get the number of members up to a critical mass and they have probably achieved that. The more players there are, the more revenue they will receive from Advertisings and Memberships, which they can use to upgrade their system. I am not sure how many registered members are there, say if there are 2 million, each spend an average of 2 hours daily on the game, that is 120 million hours online. The advertisers love that when they see the numbers. Just like in real life, it is easy to keep the crime in a small village under control but very difficult for a big city. Jagex has gone from one extreme to another. I fully support punishing rules breakers but some rules are more serious than others. If somebody use programs or try to scam other fellow players, I say ban them. However if somebody swears, they should get a warning or temporary ban. Mentioning another RS support site is just a joke. The existence of those sites actually promote RS, RS should be thanking them in my opinion. The key thing is I hope RS will listen to their members. I understand it can be hard if they receive thousands of ban appeals everyday. However, if there is any doubt that the member could be telling the truth, then the account should be restored. I would rather have a bad player among us than to ban an honest player who have spent months on their account. The last thing about sharing computer... when I visit my parents, I share the same IP as my brother (though different computer). I recently introduced my brother to RS and gave him some items to start with. I am not staying at home, there are conversations between us that prove that we are not the same person. I am wondering if I write to RS informing them we will be using the same IP's and keep a copy of the reply in case of any bans. The problem is RS doesn't write to members normally... -
Will 5k autoer In Runescape 2 be banned next? Told you so!!
yptee replied to Biabf's topic in General Discussion
I would support IP ban on repeat offender. Say if an IP is banned more than 2 or 3 times, then it will trigger a permanent ban on that IP. It is unlikely that innocent people will get caught up in this. -
Another possibility: the other player may be hacked and the hacker was giving his stuff away. It is very cruel to the other player. Last time when I saw somebody died, I contacted him and gave his stuff back but that is just me.

What is the easiest way to get a level 3 clue scroll?
yptee replied to blootsie2's topic in Help and Advice
A quick question from an inexperience player: where do you find caged demons? I have done a few Level 2 Clues but haven't attempted any Level 3 yet. Thanks.
