How long do Arrows last? [answered]
If you shot a bunch of arrows then you can typically pick up about 75% to 80% of them. But then, those arrows can then be re-shot and you can get 75% to 80% of those arrows back. You can keep on doing that until your arrows are all gone. So, the total number of shots that you can get turns out to be Shots = Arrows/(1-p) where p is about 0.75 to 0.80 (75% to 80%) So you end up being able to shoot each arrow about 4 to 5 times. So, 200k arrows could give you 800k to 1000k shots in total. (If you pick them up) Hope this helps

mageing help
Hi-alch is a great way to raise your magic level ... provided that you have hundreds or thousands of things worth hi-alching or that you have a relatively cheap supply of Nature runes. Otherwise, Camelot teleport is fast if you have a good supply of Law runes. Of course, there is the old faithful, failed Curse. It's very, very, cost effective and gives 29 magic exp per cast. Hope this helps

Best place for me to train
It depends on what you mean when you say "best" The fastest exp is earned by constantly hitting. So, if you fight monsters that are easy to hit then you are earning exp about as fast as you can. Easy to hit monsters are usually much lower than your level. In addition, lower level monsters won't hurt you much (if any) so you don't have to stop for healing food or bank runs. If you can find a place crowded with lower level monsters then you can slaughter them non-stop for hours and hours. Check out the first and second levels of the SoS. It has a lot of rooms with ideal fast training monsters. The minotaurs and fleshcrawlers are popular. Hope this helps

easy and cheapest way to 60 mage
Well, the standard way to do cost effective leveling is to cast failed Body rune based spells. That's the Weaken, Confuse, and Curse line. You will always earn full magic exp per cast even if you fail or "splash" Use the Confuse and Weaken spells until you can do Curse. If you are willing to spend more money then you can do other spells (tele) but start with failed Curse. Hope this helps

Best Thing To Smith?
For smelting and smithing you earn and average of: Iron: 6.25, 25 Steel: 17.5, 37.5 Mith: 30, 50 The better metals give more exp per bar but each bar gives the same smithing exp when used to make swords, plate, legs, shields, etc. Smithing Iron bars give 25 Smithing Steel gives 37.5 If you smelt and smith then it will take: an average of 2 iron ore to make 1 iron bar. and 3 ore (2 coal and 1 iron) to make 1 steel bar. So, for 1 trip to the furnace you will average 14 iron bars or 9 steel bars. That's 87.5 average exp doing iron or 157.5 exp doing steel. Most players prefer to make steel plate since you use up 5 bars at a time so it's a bit faster than lower level items. Also, plate hi-alchs for the most for any given smithed metal. Hope this helps

Fastest way to 70 Defence?
In general, that fastest way to level is to be constantly killing. You earn exp according to HitDone*4 and not according to the monster's level. So, if you can find a supply of fast respawning, lower level monsters, then you may be able to slaughter them non-stop for hours and maximize your exp per hour. If they are lower level then they won't hurt you (much) and you won't need to bother stopping for healing food/bank runs. So, you could try the first or second level of the SoS. There are a lot of crowded rooms with good training there. Hope this helps

What is the best way to lvl up crafting in F2P?
But only if he mines the silver himself. Otherwise, Silver ores/bars are, roughly, 300 gp each and that's not gonna be cost effective since Tiaras don't sell well. True, assuming that he already has a large supply of silver bars... Hope this helps

What is the best way to lvl up crafting in F2P?
It depends on what you mean when you say "best" If you mean, "Most exp per event" then silver Tiaras is good. If you mean, "Fastest" then buying silver bars and making silver Tiaras is good, but very expensive. If you mean "Cheapest" then mining silver and making Tiaras is good per event, but rather slow overall. If you mean "Combat exp and least money spent" then killing cows next to the crafting guild and doing leather inside the guild is good. If you mean "Least walking and no money spent" then clay bowls is good. Here's what you get: Tiaras: 52.5 Holy symbols: 50 Hard leather: 35 Clay bowl: 33 Gold amulet: 30 Leather chaps: 27 You can mine silver, gold, and clay in the crafting guild. You can make clay objects and do leather in the guild. You have to take your silver and/or gold ore to Fally, etc to smelt and make Tiaras, etc. Many players use hard leather or clay bowls to level crafting. (BTW, I'm 75 crafting in F2P) Hope this helps

A very cost effective way to raise magic You will always earn 29 magic exp for every cast. But you can't auto-cast it and you won't earn any HP exp. Wear whatever gear gives you the lowest magic attack stat. That is usually any full metal armor set. (Bronze works as well as Rune) So you could go with full helm, chest plate, legs, kite shield, SoS boots, elemental staff, and green dragonhide vambraces. That will get you to about -68 magic attack. Do not wear a (sapphire) magic ammy. With a -68 magic attack stat you will always fail when casting. That's good because you will still earn full exp and you can recast on the same monster. The recast thing makes it nice training. There are lots of places that will work. I prefer casting from the key room in the Varrock sewers across the water at the 4 zombies in the ladder room. It's 100% safe because the zombies can't reach you and it's muticmbat so you will almost always have a target. You could also cast on the caged red monk under the Varrock palace stairs, or the caged lesser demon in the top of the wizzy tower, or in the Port Sarim jail, or the white knights in their 2nd floor screen room, or scorpions in the Al-khahid mine from the rim. Hope this helps

I am a NOOOOOB need help to get lvls up!!!!! F2P
Well, for melee combat, fight monsters much lower than you. You earn exp according to the hit that you do on the monster as Experience = HitDone*4 The level of the monster doesn't matter. If you can find a place with good monsters to train on (SoS) then you won't need much food for healing and you can easily kill for hours. Try the first or second levels of the SoS. For Range you earn exp as Exp = HitDone*4 The trick with ranging is to shoot from behind a table chair, river, fence, or other "safe spot". Use the Tip It range training guide to select a place. Also, if you pick up your arrows then you can get about 4 times as many shots out of them. That can save you a lot of money. The minotaurs in the SoS drop a lot of arrows so try those. To make all of the arrows appear in the monster loot pile, cast a Curse on the monster and wait before shooting it. For F2P magic then most cost effective way to level is to cast failed Curses. You will always earn 29 magic exp for every cast. The trick is to wear the worst magic attack gear that you can. That's any full metal armor with a kite shield, SoS boots, and green vambraces, and staff. Then go and cast from the key room in the Varrock sewers across the water at the 4 zombies in the ladder room. Yeah, selling coal can get you a lot of money. 23 full loads of coal can easily earn you 100000 gp Selling ore is straightforward. Use the Tip It smithing forum for selling it. Fishing (for Trout) in the Barbarian village river can be "fast" IMHO, it's not worth it. (My smithing is 77) Powermine iron. Mine and drop and then repeat. I got to mining level 85 doing that with the 3 iron rocks in the Al-Kharid scorpion mine. Btw, a NEWBIE is someone thats lacks game knowledge. We all started that way. Asking polite questions usually cures that. A NOOB is usually a player that is annoying, ignorant, loud mouthed, and aggressive. It is usually caused by emotional immaturity. I hope that you the former and not the latter... Hope this helps

How Do You Get To Crandor
Suicide grab them in the south central wildy. Wear nothing. Also, if you are F2P, when you get the key to Melzar's maze, don't get rid of it. If you get rid of it after you complete the quest, you can't get another one as a F2P player. (Members can though) Hope this helps

How Do You Get To Crandor
The secret door is always a bit of a problem. It gets unlocked 1 of 2 ways. 1) Go through it from the north side after reaching Crandor island (with Ned) for the first time. 2) Complete enough of the DS quest. I don't know if that means: reach Crandor, or enter Elvarg's lair, or defeat Elvarg. You probably need to go and talk to Ned again. Finally, your friend must also complete most of the quest in order to use the door. It's like the west gate into Al-Kharid. Other players can't sneak in behind you when the guards open it for free for you. Hope this helps

How Do You Get To Crandor
Well, assuming that you have completed most of the DS quest, the door will only let you through it. Your friend won't be able to use it unless he has Ned take him to the island. IIRC, the door is "unlocked" from either side when you have completed enough of the DS quest. Did you finish that quest? Anyway, Climb into the volcano using the rope in the SE section. Then, go through the secret "wall" door that is just north of the red spiders. Run, north past the lessers until you end in a large skelly room. Climb up the rope to reach Crandor Island. Hope this helps

How Do You Get To Crandor
2 ways Port Sarim ship to Karamja island then use the secret door under the volcano (must have completed most of the Dragon Slayer quest) or Complete most of the Dragon slayer quest and Ned will sail you (in your own ship) to Crandor directly. Hope this helps

big bones close to a bank
Take another look at the title of the thread... So, at best, the OP is not clear what he really wants. Next time, try to be a bit more careful when trying to criticize someone that's trying to help...

big bones close to a bank
Have you considered just picking up the Big Bones that spawn in the central east part of the wilderness? IIRC, there are about 4 that spawn along with regular bones. There are some low level skellies that hang around there and it is in the multi-combat part of the wildy, but that's not gonna be a problem for you. Hope this helps

pvp and f2p???
There's also the term "ganking" That refers to pvps "gang killing" but it is also used to refer to many forms of "unfair" or "annoying" pvp combat. In RS it can refer to killing players in the wilderness that are not there for pvp combat. (Runite/Addy/Mith/Coal ore mining, cosmic spawns, nature spawns, sapphire spawn, chaos spawn, big bones gathering, muddy key, plank gathering, greater hunting, treasure trail, etc) Hope this helps

ranging places
You can use Tip It's guide to range traiing to select places. A good place is the first or second level in the Stronghold of Security under the Barbarian village. The minotaurs drop a lot of arrows. That makes them nice for training. Also, pick up your arrows if you can. You can get about 4 times as many shots out of them that way. Hope this helps
