  1. Well, I don't know about member monsters but, at combat level 59, the best safe F2P monster for drops is probably the caged lesser demon in the wizzy tower. It rarely drops a rune med that you could tele-grab. If you can find a safe spot then you could also try Ice giants and Moss giants. Members have many better choices available. Hope this (somehow) helps
  2. If you picked up your arrows then you would need about 148800 Bronze, or 147000 Iron, or 131700 Steel, or 124400 Mith to reach 99 If you did not pick up your arrows, then you would need about 4 times as many as listed above. So, you need about 118000 more Bronze arrows along with what you already have above to reach your goal. Hope this helps
  3. Failed Curses is the most cost effective way for F2P to raise magic Hmmm, you want it fast and cheap? Well, Fast would be Hi-alch if you had about 48516 Nature runes and stuff to convert or Teleport if you had about 67096 law runes. Cheap would be about 108740 failed Curses. Middle of the road would be about 80859 Crumble Undeads. Hope this helps
  4. Well, 40 def will add 10 combat levels and 43 prayer will add another 5.3 levels. 70 mage with 40 hp will put you about level 44.1 Hope this helps
  5. Actually that's 1 of 2 correct formulas. The second formula is the smooth one that lets you compute values between levels.
  6. IMHO, power mine iron. About 7 days if you stick with your schedule. Use the 3 iron rocks on the NW wall of the Al-Kharid scorp mine. Keep in mind that F2P has only 2 runite ore rocks. Those usually have PKers nearby waiting to take your runite ore. So, you will have to use the standard anti-PKer techniques to deal with them. Also, many times the rocks are empty. The respawn time for runite is about 1386 - #Players/3 seconds So, the most crowded servers respawn a bit faster. Regardless, you will have to world hop, (a lot), to find any ore at all. Overall, you may be frustrated in your mining results. You can mine Addy and Mith ore right now, so you could sell those ores for a bit of cash. Hope this helps
  7. You can do a search to find lots of info on these forums about at least 2 formulas that generate the exp values. Basically, the exp "doubles" every 7 levels. Or, each level is about 10% more than the previous level. 14,391,160 You can see it here in a ss from the long time #1 crafter in Rs, Ltangel
  8. You can use the official Jagex map of the RS world to flash the location of spinning wheels. Click World Map, Overview, Key, Next Page, Spinning Wheel to see them flash. Hope this helps
  9. That depends on what you mean when you say "best" If you mean "fastest exp per event" then buy silver bars and make tiaras (52.5 exp) If you mean "least amount of walking" then buy tanned leather and do hard bodies at the bank (35 exp). If you mean "cheap with fighting" then kill cows outside the crafting guild and do leather inside the guild (35 exp) If you mean "cheap with minimum walking" then do clay bowls inside the crafting guild (33 exp) Generally speaking, for leveling F2P crafting it's Tiaras, Leather, or Bowls. They all have different amounts of cash required, walking, exp per event, and exp per hour. F2P crafting, IMHO, doesn't really pay back well. It you get to 70 then you can make power amulets. Getting to level 70 is like getting to level 50 more than 7 times. If you want to make money in F2P, then I suggest mining and/or smelting and selling steel bars. Hope this helps
  10. Yeah, the Ring of Forging is the same way, the "charges" are with the player and not the ring.
  11. I find that my loss rate with Bronze arrows is around 20%-25% (Level 80 F2P ranging on rapid)
  12. Did you ever try the 2 lessers on top of Crandor island? I have found that they are almost always available. There are safe spots to the E-SE and North of their walk area. I usually never bothered to bring food since all of my arrows and loot were in the drop pile 1 step outside my safe spot. Hope this helps
  13. You could check out Tip Its Ranging guide for ideas. It will take you about 4100 Iron arrows if you picked them up... Hope this helps
  14. They are easy enough to make. But shears in any general store and go to any sheep area. (North of Lumby or south-west of Fally) Use the shears on the sheep to get a bunch of raw wool. Use the wool on a spinning wheel to make a ball of wool (South Fally, Barbarian village, Crafting guild, or Lumby castle) Use the ball on the amulet. Also, you must make a jeweled amulet when you make the amulet. You can't go back and "add" a jewel to an already made amulet. Hope this helps
  15. All of us? :?
  16. Each prayer level increases your overall combat level by 1/8 You can play around with your combat stats here. Hope this helps
  17. There has been a bit of talk about that in this thread...
  18. It depends on what you mean when you say "better" If you mean "Get the most F2P magic exp per cast" then Crumble Undead is best. CU averages about 39 per cast but Fire bolt averages about 34 per cast. If you mean "Hits the hardest" then CU is best. CU max at about 15, FB max at about 12. If you mean "Uses fewest runes even with a staff" then CU is best. With a staff CU needs 3 other runes, FB needs 4 other runes. If you mean "Cheapest to cast" then CU is best. CU needs 1 fewer air rune per cast (with a staff) If you mean "Easiest to cast" then Fire bolt is best. You can auto-cast FB but F2P players can't auto-cast CU. (Members have at least 2 ways to auto-cast CU) If you mean "Has the best selection of targets available" then FB is best. FB will work on live and undead monsters. CU works only on undead types. A good place to cast CU is from the key room in the Varrock sewers across the water at the 4 zombies in the ladder room. Hope this helps
  19. Yes. It's also how Noobs identify themselves to the rest of us...
  20. Power mining Iron is probably the fastest way to do that. It would take you, at most, 4462 iron ore to be able to use a DS to enter the guild. I used Iron (In Al-Kharid) to get to 85 Hope this helps
  21. IIRC, it's normally 1+2*YourLevel However, wilderness creatures are aggresive to all levels. So, in that case, you can stay in a small area and wait until they get bored in 10-20 minutes or so. Then they shouldn't attack you as long as you stay in that small area. If you walk to the bank or "far" away then the clock is reset and you start over. Finally, have you tried the coal spots listed here? The south-west Lumby swamp mine can use the Draynor bank. Hope this helps
  22. You can look here to find clay sites. Also, the Crafting Guild has everthing you need to do clay. You can mine it, soften it, shape it, and then fire it all on the first floor of the guild. Very little walking required. So, if you just want the crafting exp, then you don't need a bank at all. Hope this helps
  23. The infinite geometric series is probably the easiest way to do this calculation. If you kept on shooting until your arrows were all gone, (instead of just 10 times), then you get: 250000/(1-0.75) = 1000k Picking up your arrows really helps a lot. Hope this helps
  24. Why do you say to "Do willows" when you also say "Yews are the fastest experience in the game"? (What happened to magic trees?) Also, the op has level 64 wc and you have level 85. Do you think that your rate of earning WC exp with Yews would be the same as his at only level 64? Just wondering...
