Kah bah gee rly
Kah bah gee!! Looking good, I like the clouds, they look like clouds. :D A few crits: - Compared to the fence, those kah bah gees are bloody tiny, unless of course they're baby kah bah gee. - His robes look very chiselled, not like real robes at all. :| I'm not too good with the folds of a robe, but it looks quite stiff. That's about it. :) Good job. ^^

A little pixel help.
Hey there. :D Alrighty, the guy in the robes is looking pretty good so far, though the colours are kinda bright and there isn't much shading going on with his robes - I'm hoping you'll give that a go. :) The guy in initiate/proselyte/whatever has an odd pose. Change it, perhaps, to something like what Tom suggests up there - clutching his chest with one hand. The other hand could have a shield which is held loosely by his side. Other things I'll suggest: - The ruined building in the background has some seriously thin walls that'll probably fall over at the slightest wind. Thicken them out a little. - Perhaps add a figure/shape of the person trapped within the ice? - The bigger stars in the sky have very square corners. :P Add a few shades around it to soften them out. For the background you could add a few things: - dead trees - volcanic geyser things - lava - greater demons - skeletons - the fence that separates P2P wildy from F2P wildy - other people fighting (clan war?) This is why I have a lot of trouble doing wilderness sigs - there's only so much you can put in the background to make it interesting. :| Good luck with your sig. :)

New sig wip... updated- 74 people are without torso's now!
Please, spare my torso! Alright, time to c/c. *rubs hands together* I like what you've done with the water so far - I've yet to attempt doing such a difficult thing to pixel but you seem to be pulling it off. :D I also like what you did with the coins spilling out, they're well defined. The stone walls look awfully thin to me. :| Have you tried thickening them out? It just doesn't seem like they're going to hold up if they're as thin as the door. The tree by the water's edge looks like it's about to topple over - unless you're going for that effect, you might want to straighten it out. :P The pool, as you've already identified, is at an odd angle - maybe try making the pool widen as it approaches us. :| Not too sure what to do with it though. It's probably just me, but the character (I assume it's supposed to be female) has very masculine facial features. :| Ignore me if I'm completely wrong. X_X That should keep you going for a while. Keep it up, it's looking good apart from the stuff I pointed out just before. :D (can I have my torso back now?)

Creating Steam
To draw semi-transparent stuff, I kinda dither a steam-colour over the area which is covered by the steam. It works for me... try it. :| Despaxes, Nazgul had the same problem a few weeks ago, and Sue kindly offered this link, and he managed to install it again. :D

Lime Mercury's Holiday Contest: Drop Party- Solved!
Is that a clue?! *goes insane* XD "Just the right thing to make me drop it"? o_o I swear, when the answer's found out, we're all going to hit ourselves for not thinking of it first. -.-

Farming question
From my experience with it, yes, it still affects the herb count. My first seed I planted in it without super compost, I only got 4. The next one, I used supercompost, and I got my usual 7. Could be wrong though - after all, I only did the super-compost-less one once.

Nature
Guh, should've recognised them. :P I took Jap for two years... but now all of the hiragana and the katakana and the tiny bits of kanji I learnt have disappeared. ^^
-
Nature
I like it. :) The sparse bits of colour contrast well with the plain background. The using of the Japanese (or is it Chinese? :| Sorry. ;_; ) kanji is a nice touch too. :) Good job. I'd give c/c but I'm not too big on these sorts of things. Sorry. X_X

my first pixel sig
The anatomy is alright. A few points I'd like to make on the anatomy topic though: - Neck - He kinda looks like a creepy giraffe thing. :P Shorten the neck somewhat, or at least thicken it a little as it approaches his shoulders. - Hands - Last I checked, we had fingers. :P I realise that fingers are difficult to pixel, especially when you're just starting out, but a few lines that look vaguely like fingers do help. - Proportions - Not too knowledgable about human anatomy, but it feels like his arms are different sizes, his feet are waaaay too big (or his boots are just massive... o_o), and his head seems a little small for his body. In order to improve your anatomy problems, I suggest Googling some human anatomy sites and reading through a few of them. We've got all the resources available to us through the Internet - use them! Now, we come to colours and shading. - Colour choice - It appears as though you've used the default colours of MS Paint, which is a big no-no at the moment. Did you know you can pick your own colours by double-clicking the colour square thing at the palette? - Shading - (or lack thereof). It doesn't seem like you've made any attempt at shading the character, which would probably stem from the use of the default colours, so I'll let you off easy here. :P - Random black-outlined boots - There aren't any black lines anywhere else in the pixel apart from the boots, which make them look completely out of place. :| To fix your colour problems, as I said above, don't use default colours. At the moment your pixel is blinding me because of the cyan blue. X_X Is this pixel finished? You've used such a big canvas, everything else seems plain and empty - there's no detail. Like I said before, we have excellent tutorials in the Gallery announcement up there - use what's there and read up on pixelling. It's recommended by the guide to not post your first pixel, as sometimes you'll just get a bunch of flames or something. So, your move. I suggest you check out some tutorials, and read up on human anatomy. G'luck for your future pixels. :) EDIT: Curse my tendency to make typoes. *proofreads post*

Meh First Pixel Sig!!!
Oh, alright, Mum, I'll go to sleep. :P G'luck with your pixel, and kudos go to you for taking c/c on board - that's the mistake some people make, they don't listen. -_- Erk, I'm so sorry, I didn't answer your question! It took me just over two weeks to make my current sig. :) Pixels take ridiculous amounts of time. XD
-
Meh First Pixel Sig!!!
As you can tell, I'm putting off sleep. :P It's the weekend anywhoo. XD Yay for fingers! :D Another thing I just noticed - the character is holding the arrow instead of the bowstring. Correct me if I'm wrong, but to shoot arrows the archer has to hold on to the bowstring and not the arrow? Keep it up. :P Sadly I'm the only person that appears to be awake at this time apart from you, it seems, so you'll have to wait till tomorrow for other people's crits, it seems. :| Curse timezones. :P EDIT: I feel as if I'm spamming the Gallery or something. o_o Maybe I should go to sleep. :-k

Hiimben's Pixel Gallery, Finished something :)
I've added a couple of arrows to your pixel to illustrate my points, if you don't want it, then I'll take it down at your request. :) If the moon's light reflected in the water is the light source, then the light would be going in the direction of the red arrows, no? Therefore, the shadows would be cast behind the character instead of in front of the character. At the moment it looks like there's a major light source behind the character, which is casting the current shadow. The direction of the apparent light at the moment is shown by the blue arrows. It looks like the moon is somewhere in the direction of the green arrow, so that rules out the moon being the light source casting the blue arrows. Darn, forgot to add arrows showing where the lamp's light should be cast. :| (chances are I've just rambled along on absolutely nothing. XD)

Hiimben's Pixel Gallery, Finished something :)
Beesafree has the right of it - if the fire in the lamp thing is a source of light, shouldn't there be a shadow cast by it and not the unseen light source behind the character? And again, like Beesafree, I have a very dark screen, so I'll have to judge on the lightened version. :| Me likey the paper shading. :P The water could be improved on, but I wouldn't know - I've never pixelled water before. X_X It's proceeding nicely, keep it up. :)

First sig
I'm not too skilled in the abstract/render department thing, but I'm bored so I'll give it a go. :P For a Paint image that isn't a pixel, it's pretty good - you either have some 1337 cropping skills (in Paint of all programs!), or you had a pre-cropped image. :P Respect goes to you if you cropped it yourself though - I'm terrible at cropping even in something like Photoshop. XD I realise there's not much tools to use in Paint, so I'll spare you the blending lecture. The background doesn't fit too well with the render, though, and the text is unreadable in the dark parts of the flames. As Shadow said up there, Paint isn't any good with much else other than pixels and random drawings when you're bored in a Computers class, so you'll want to get a free version of something that is better suited to this sort of thing. The GIMP is a good program, apparently - on par with Photoshop, according to some people, and it's completely free. If you Google it, you should find a free download easily. :) Not bad, overall. :)

Meh First Pixel Sig!!!
Not too bad for your first, actually. You have potential, yes. :D The thing about many pixel sigs is that the little details matter. It seems you missed colouring the spot between the bowstring and the bow - it's coloured white. Anatomy's not half bad, the character's left arm is pretty short and stumpy though. o_o His head is too small for his body as well. I assume you didn't pixel the fingers because they were difficult to do? I totally agree with you there, if that's the reason - fingers are ridiculously evil to pixel, but fingers look much better than mittens. ;) The colours aren't bad, it's the shading that you need to improve on. I won't crit the ground, as I believe it's a WIP (is it?), but I will crit the shading on the character - he's wearing robes, right? Cloth doesn't have that jaggedy shading, I don't think - it's a lot more smooth-like. I'm not too big on cloth either - it's a very difficult texture to try and pull off. That's all I can give right now, I'm tired and I need to go to bed. :P Have you taken a look at the tutorials in the Gallery announcement? They're a great help - spend some time and use the resources available. :) Good luck. :D

Best Thing You've Ever Found On The Ground?
Was doing a Level 3 coordinate clue that led me to the wildy, to the place with lesser demons just before the KBD ladder thing. As you might have guessed, it was hard checking my location because the lessers kept attacking me in the middle of fixing up the sextant positions. I don't know about you guys, but I get ridiculously nervous when I'm checking coordinates in the wildy with the sextant, because you're pretty much a sitting duck for PKers. Switched worlds twice when I saw white dots on the minimap. -_- My third world, empty. Had a rough time trying to get coordinates again because the lessers kept attacking me. Seemed I was concentrating so much on the lessers and the sextant that I didn't notice a white dot that suddenly appeared right beside me. I froze. I couldn't log out - I had just been attacked by a lesser a few seconds before. I couldn't run - I'd most likely get spec'd by the other guy. He attacked... a lesser demon. I clicked frantically at the gate, and stepped outside where there were no lessers, waiting for the log-out timer to tick past. I watched the other player warily. For some odd reason, his health was going down, and he wasn't eatiing. I was sure the log-out timer thing had finished - I could log out. But I stuck around to see what would happen to this one guy who didn't seem to be interested in preserving his health. The lesser he was fighting hit a 5, then a 9, then a 3... I watched as the player performed the death animation. What I thought was a PKer dropped a berzerker helm, spined gloves and boots, rune legs and some other stuff. I proceeded to kill my Zammy wizard - the reward was trashy, I don't even remember it. :| This wasn't the best thing I've found on the ground, admittedly - but it was certainly the most random. o_o EDIT: Erm... sorry for the novel. o_o

Double Agent troubles...
Mamong, you know you're going to get one if your clue says, "Beware of double agents!". :) Easy as that. :P
