First Pixel on MS Paint
Alright, crits, here I come! It's OK for your first, although the character is far too blocky because of the use of the line tool. Contrary to My Eggs, though, I believe many pixel makers suggest the line tool? ^^^ Image courtesy of Terley's pixel tutorial. So really, you can use lines (I personally don't, to be honest ), but please don't make the character dead straight like that. I don't think I've ever seen anyone with a body that stiff. :P The head just looks a teensy bit too large for the body, but that's just me - I'm rather terrible with anatomy. It might just be the hair, though - Abyssalwhip has the right of it, the hair looks a bit like a wig. ;) I'm afraid shading in general is practically nonexistant. There is very little contrast, and it seems like you've only used a grand total of two shades per colour - although that's not necessarily bad, if you do it correctly. The problem with just two shades is that it's difficult to do much texturing, especially as the two shades are not that contrasted from each other. The grass, especially, looks rather like a patch of green cardboard with grass-bits cut out of the top. Also, the shadow of the character being cast by the sun (which I assume is to the top right) doesn't fit the character - it seems off. The skateboard is missing wheels? :P The black lines I've always had a bit of an issue with, but it's a style thing - if you think the black lines go with what you're trying to achieve with a pixel, use them. If not, change them to darker shades of the colour beside it. :) I suggest you go to the Gallery Announcement and read thorough some of the guides in section IV. User Tutorials. There are some great ones there. I've stressed this to many first-pixellers, read what's available. They'll help you a lot. :) Good luck!

Monkey madness HELP PLZ???
Did you use monkey remains from Karamjan monkeys? Any other monkey form doesn't work, from what I've gathered.

OH NO! ANOTHER ANIMATED AVATAR!
Very, very nice. Smooth animation, smooth character. *gives you cookie* Excellent work, how long did it take you? As above, it could use with a longer pause after the punches. It gets a little hard to look at after a while - or maybe I shouldn't be looking at it for too long anyway. :P Great work, I'd like to see a few more. :)

Requesting a Banner :)
Welcome to Tip.It forums. :) I'm afraid I'm going to have to lock this, as offering or accepting payment for a forum signature is against Tip.It and JaGEx rules, as quoted above by Kyle. Please reread the Forum Rules, and feel free to make a new topic without offering money for it. ~ Faelenof

question about brewing
As far as I know, it's pretty hard to get mature ales. I myself have never actually gotten any mature beers. According to JaGEx, though, you can use The Stuff to increase your chances of getting a mature ale. Good luck!

First Signature made on MsPaint
OK, actually pretty good for a first pixel, I applaud you. :) Unoriginal theme to be honest, but of course everyone loves showing off their wealth and the public loves these sorts of sigs. Good Stuff: - Rather liking the way you did the glass. Interesting take, pretty effective too. - Sky is also pretty good. :D - Shadows being cast from the figure and chair are excellent. Kudos go to you. - Pretty good anatomy, though I'm not much to talk as I'm rather terrible it. Might want to listen to other people for advice on anatomy, if needed. :) I think the above things were executed very well, especially the shadows. Very well done in those respects. I also see you've done some antialiasing here and there - again, good work, and a rather daring move for a first pixel as antialiasing is more of an advanced technique. Stuff to Improve: - The most immediate problem that caught my eye was the glaring blankness of the wall. It really is blank. You could possibly try a tad more shading and shadows on it. Zooming in in Paint I noticed you've done a little, but it's not too obvious zoomed out. - Fire looks pretty flat, to be honest. Doesn't have much depth. If you take a look at some images of fire, it's actually the lighter colours that are in the inside bit of the fire, and not the reds. - The character's lap is very flat - in fact, the entire armour section of the character feels rather flat to me. I'll address this problem later in the post. :) - Coins... hmm... coins are really difficult to pull off. I've never made a coin stack before, so I'm not experienced in that respect, but it kind of just looks like a big pile of yellow. Maybe define some clumps of coins a little more? - Party hats seem slightly too small. - The amulet strings seem too... well... stiff. If they're made of wool, then they'd hang a little more limply than that instead of the perfect roundess. And as promised I'll deal with the armour. :) As Kuroi_Ame stated, your colour palette leaves something to be desired - there's very little contrast. Metals especially need quite a drastic change in colour to make them 'metallic'. Darken the 'scales' on the platelegs as they get closer to the crease between his legs. Also, your lightsource is a bit confusing. The most dominant lightsource, as far as I can tell, is the window, as that is where the chair and character are casting their shadow. But there is also the lightsource from the fireplace, and that's having no effect whatsoever on any shadow in the room (who'd have a fire in the middle of the day anywhoo? :P). Sort out your palette and lightsource, and you'll be sweet. Overall, I'm mighty impressed by this. Excellent work, keep it up. :D

Would any of you be interested...
I will add my request for these things too - they'll help with computer design-ish stuff that I won't be able to pixel efficiently. ^^ (please have reached the undisclosed amount... :-# )

Best place to mine gold and mith p2p?
Gold, definitely the Arzinian Gold Mines from the Between A Rock... quest. With the Ring of Charos (a), you only need to give the ferryman person 3 gold ore instead of the 5 (not sure about the payments as I can't really do it in F2P anymore :P) to ship your load to the bank. Mith rocks... Not too sure about this, may want to check out the mines southeast of Draynor.

So, you want to get revenge on yew and rune ess autoers?
The_Dragon_Reborn, this... I just do!!! Shut up and just drop it for god's sake! This was uncalled for. You're supporting your arguement with no evidence whatsoever, and, you're also flaming. Incidentally, it does work. I have yet to successfully kill one of them (I didn't stick around long enough as I just wanted to get a screenshot of them all following the trail to support the topic creator in the face of unneeded flaming), but it does work - I got around three possible autoers following the trail. :D Take note of the three autoers onscreen and the red dots on the map which are the yew logs I dropped. Pretty interesting guide, to be honest. :D Will have to try again if I want to get one of them to the hobgoblins. :P

Harralander Seeds?
I'm pretty sure that any bestiary entry that says "Herb seed(1)" or something of that variety drops Harralander. :)
-
Ranarr seeds
manage thy kingdom nests never have herb seeds in them. now, putting workers on on collecting herbs can net you ranarr seeds, but your workers are better off elsewhere. I stand corrected. Thanks for that, Country. :P And Joken's right, I forgot about Master Farmers, though in my experience with that I find it's rather difficult to get a ranarr from them.

Construction problem~1 more problem...
Yep, you'll have to delete the portal room to remove your combat room. >< The runes for portals are really annoying to replace (I don't really like seeing hundreds of runes disappearing with one click :uhh: ), so I'd suggest just scrapping the idea of deleting the combat room unless you're prepared to re-direct the portals again.

lock i need to ask something different
Mate, you can't get mining levels or fishing levels without doing some serious clicking and boredom to get there. Those two are ridiculously tedious/boring. If you don't want to do any work, then you're never going to be able to finish Heroes. :| Seriously, fastest and easiest way to get those mining levels is powermining. Especially in members, most mines are far emptier than in F2P. So go on, grab a pickaxe, head to the mine north of Al-Kharid to the three iron rocks, make sure a friend's online to talk to, and mine iron till you get your level or till you want to stop. One level per day. If you've gotten your level for the day, go and do something else. Same with fishing, except there you can just drag a friend to fish with you as you're not in competition with the resource like with mining. Good luck!

Ranarr seeds
Manage Thy Kingdom gives nests with seeds, in which there may be some Ranarr in them. Fighting monsters, i.e., ogres, moss giants, and a few others that I can't think of at the moment drop them quite a bit. I also vaguely remember something about Dagannoths dropping them frequently too. But of course these aren't very reliable sources as it's random - personally, I think your best bet in aquiring them in bulk is buying off players. Good luck. :)

dark dagger
I don't think that's possible, because if you remember it was Zekin that gave you the dagger, and he was the demon you killed (three times ><). And since you've killed him, it's only logical that you can't get it back. :|

SOTW #4: Movies
Oh, wow, there are some awesome ones this week. :o I applaud everyone, they're all great. :D 1st - K4D4 - I used to think it was a pretty overused image (seen it far too many times. :P), but this just jumps at me. Great work. :D 2nd - Star - Yay, Power Rangers! 3rd - Woopidoo - Something about it that I just like. ^^

first pixel: work in progress (W.I.P)
Not much to give advice on at the moment, apart from the fact that it seems you've used default MS Paint colours. If you didn't know, you can choose the colours you use by double-clicking the colour palette then clicking "Define Custom Colours". You'll want to choose shades that are about halfway down the big colour box that pops up, toward the greys more. Gives the palette a more natural colour, instead of fluorescent green and highlighter blue. :) Good luck!

I've had it since the 21st of Feb. :D

Horror of Meiyerditch [PIXEL - COMPLETE]
51 colours in the pixel itself, and a massive 116 colours with the text. :-# I did a sort of transparenty effect on the text using Macromedia Fireworks 4, y'see - it was a little difficult pulling the smoke effect off when I was so not into the pixel anymore. >< Got a bit lazy, I admit. I'll post a version without the transparent effect tomorrow (without it, colours are reduced to 54. ). It doesn't look half bad without it being transpar-itised, now that I look at it. Right now, I'm beat, heading to bed. :P
