I heard somewhere there will be a feature that you can 'report' people for cheating, ie. boosting. That would be so epic if its true :pray:

I've always enjoyed this series... but those graphics are too cartoon-ish for my likes. I agree they're not bad once you've adjusted.. but I think I will stick with mah preferred AoE II ones. Zeus & Poseidon all the way for any RTS though (y)

Do you have an extra coax cable hookup anywhere near both spots? You could get a media converter (RF to ethernet). We've used those occasionally and they work fairly well. I don't think so.. I'm not entirely sure what a coaxial cable is. Please clarify? There's an active phone line, but I think I'm correct in saying that you can't use broadband from the phone line in more than 2 places (ie. using the phone line downstairs for broadband as well as upstairs for the router)

Can't use powerline connecters where I am :s Had a pair that I used in my old house but the circuitry in this house splits between upstairs & ground floor, which is not useful seeing as the router is upstairs and my stuff is downstairs. Any other suggestions?

Drilling holes in the wall to install ethernet cables isn't really an option.. nor is running ethernet cables throughout the house. I know its better to do it wired but it isn't feasible for a variety of reasons. :/

Ok so I have a question about wireless bridging. I have my xbox + computer downstairs but the wireless doesn't reach there well. Could I have a wireless bridge (1 at the router, 1 downstairs, connected directly to eachother) to make the connection better? Or should I just have a booster which is also a switch downstairs that gets the wireless signal and lets me connect lan cables. what is your suggestion? also, what are your suggestions for products? I've had a look around but I'm not sure what would be best :s Cheers :)

Do you have a bootable USB flash drive? You could create a flash drive with linux on it or something and work from there. If you were updating the bios then theres not really much you can do I think. An alternative is you could put your HDD from the non-bootable computer into another computer and boot from the HDD on the computer that works (if that makes sense), and then work from there (not sure what you actually have to do, though).

You could order online, but you could also go to a computer center/high street shop and they sometimes sell refurbished laptops which are used, but have been completely redone by the manufacturer so they are good as new and quite a bit cheaper. They'll be able to help you choose too.

1. What kind of a keyboard do you use? (ergonomic, gaming, something completely different?) It's just a regular keyboard, one of these (Elephant Ke002, with an English keyboard) I'd be suprised if you'd heard of the brand, I picked it up in a computer centre in China. Does me well though 2. How much do you use the keyboard? Do you often use it instead of the mouse? Hm... I would say I use them equally, or perhaps maybe the mouse a little more (lots of web surfing). 3. How fast can you type? (a link to a typing speed test is included at the bottom, if you haven't done one already) 79 WPM on my laptop keyboard. 4. Anything else worth mentioning? It has slim keys like a macbook, which is the exact reason I chose it. After using my laptop for 4 months while on holiday I've sort of got used to a thin keyboard and wasn't liking my desktop keyboard, which was on its last legs anyway.

I've been using a combination of Avast! and Ad-Aware. To an extent, it's really just personal preference. I would stay away from AVG, you're right about that. You're going to want an anti-spyware/malware as well as an antivirus.

I would get a desktop with 4-6GB ram, maybe 8 I dunno. Decent CPU and a low-medium graphics card. I have an Asus EAH4830 which cost me 81 quid and isn't too shabby.

Try decreasing draw distance and quality on minecraft. I'm struggling with it a bit on a laptop with 2GB RAM and a 512MB graphics card, so I'm not suprised you're having a hard time. I would think that you will just have to just shut everything else down while playing minecraft and play it on lowest settings, or update. It's probably the right time for you to update TBH.

That looks pretty cool, although I don't think ill be upgrading, my 2G works fine. Camera might be cool as well, although I'm not one to take many pictures. Re. you're ipod, i would feel the same as you but I'm afraid I have no advice :/

Raw materials such as logs and fish are also good I heard. I flipped a few god items a while ago (zammy cape, to be precise) although I don't know why there was such a high demand for them so I wouldn't recommend them unless you know :P
