  1. Feels like TheAncient had vids. Maybe that's where I got onto this from... He didnt have torva/pernix/virtus
  2. Get verac skirt in stead of torag legs. Get a fury (+5 strength and more defense for only 15m, thats much better than tassets or bcp). Use soul wars cape or fire cape, not trimmed skillcape. Get a rapier if you can. Get extremes asap, its good in the long run.
  3. This, if you're rc'ing using glories, then just recharge them using a taverley teletab to get to the Heroes Guild, no way I'm going to spend a >5k summon pouch for that (unless you really have a massive load of them). Aside from that, geysers are useful for range slaying and pvp situations (not my territory). Other useful fams are lava titan (slaying KBD and mining), hydra (mage trees) and apparently swamp titans aren't too bad either as a combat familiar. Wtf? You don't want to pay an extra 4k to not have to run 2 minutes? That's totally worth it for me. (and having a massive load of them doesn't change the price of them, so I see no difference).
  4. Trade up for a santa. They will fall but not by 35m.
  5. I got really annoyed when some arrogant loser starts calling others "kid". Can't exactly explain why.
  6. You didn't lose money, you made around 120k. Scroll of life is part of torstol farming. But yeah, you still were unlucky. Should be 300k+ a run on average.
  7. Meh, I decided to not care anymore and bought a green for min. Was always planning to get that one so yeah. Might lost money on it, but this time I'm planning to keep it, and it's still only a 15m upgrade from my yellow, so I'm fine with it.
  8. Hehe green, you were the one that convinced me to sell red though. 5m plox :-)
  9. Hehe yeah, I'm starting to realise more and more that this whole partyhat discussion on RSOF doesn't have any impact, and that the real merchers are just doing whatever they were planning to do.
  10. I pust an offer in for red at min since it will go up next update and min will be lower. I'm not sure though, thinking about just waiting it out and who knows, get a white. I just feel I'm not the only one. Every time a hat crashes, there's more people going for the next one. However, these people might be a minority, but they are for sure the most vocal on the RSOF.
  11. Reds just crashed lol. I'm indeed thinking about rebuying for min just to be safe.
  12. I put my red hat in for max GE. Didn't sell for 30 seconds. Tried 566 mill and sold for max instantly.
  13. Lol, I read your comment don't worry. I'm just scared to be left behind when white isn't crashing and people start buying the lower hats :-). And trust me, there's A LOT of people waiting for white to crash to get one. If it doesn't, you'll see them flocking to red very quicly.
  14. Hmm, I think it's in the merchers's favour to just let the panic go wild, and wait long enough to rebuy. I bought a red right now for max, and I'm still debating. I don't wanna end up being unable to buy it when white isn't crashing and people start buying up the other hats again. But how likely is this scenario :o
  15. Soma, that extra 20-40 damage might not be much, but when you mathematically calc all possible hit combinations, you will see that the amount of extra KO's will be very significant. It's like 1% and 0.1%. Might be only 0.9% difference, but the first one is 10x more likely.
  16. I think a lot will depend on the merchers (like always). When the GE came out, they dumped their phats, and moved onto third age. Now, free trade is coming out, and obviously they dumped their hats. Will they move to the Nex armours? Would make sense to bring up those prices for a few months, while phats crash further, and then change to phats again (so yeah, history repeat more or less). I'm just not sure whether there is enough of those Nex armour to suck up all that merch money. note:I think the fact that things can't be totally bought out anymore won't change too much. Merchers still need to pour their money into something (bringing up those prices), right?
  17. I've found that if you forgo farming flowers (limps/marigolds aren't AMAZING money anyway), use Catherby Teleport, Ardy Cape 3/4, Explorer Ring, Ectophial to get to the other 4 patches, you can always farm 1 herby habitat patch and sometimes have just enough time to farm the other. This, of course, varies greatly depending on your herb yields. Yep, even with camelot teleport, I often managed ALL 7 patches.
  18. So what do people here think about phat prices after free trade? On the RSOF, the predictions have been going down down down. First people thought 500m purple 550 yellow, etc... Now it's 350 purple 400 yellow etc... Are people just losing trust, or is this really the big dip for phats? I personally have troubles predicting how much cash there actually is around, and whether the big time merchers who had lots of phats, are gonna rebuy them, or gonna leave them for good (like they left them for a year or so when the GE came out)
  19. Red can be bought max GE now pretty easily.
  20. There's still this "feeling" that you need. I mean, you can explain flipping to any noob, but a lot of them will not get the hang of it. Now staking is a bit more complicated, so I really do not expect anybody to just learn it by the book. I mean, compare it to seducing a girl in the disco. You can read all you want about it, and how it should be done, if you don't have this "feeling" for it, you won't succeed. (I'm talking about these chatty guys that can just walk up to a girl, talk to her, and score. I can garantuee you can't learn this in a book, because you will come over waaay to awkward, reciting all the "good sentences" you learned from the book).
  21. Any statues is a problem. There's no reason to make monsters drop 5m in cash when you could just think of something else for them to drop without causing inflation. I don't trust Jagex's ability to assess a problem with the economy at all. Green, the thing is, we finally reach an equilibrum, sort of. Check some prices of coommon goods, and you'll see they've levelled out through september-december. I'm actually pretty happy they'll keep them to some extent, because I was really fearing severe delfation, which isn't nice either.
  22. Glad I sold mine in GE then (8m loss though). Really like the look of it with farm cape, so probably gonna rebuy green when the time is right.
  23. You don't even break even slaying these days :o
  24. That is way too impractical. EDIT: let me rephrase it. It might be practical in theory, but in reality, people want to really own an item. I bet half of the divine owners has one partly to show off to and just wears it whenever he walks around. Can't do that with your practical solution. Maybe a few hardcore MH'ers who are not rich enough yet will do this untill they can afford one themselves, but that effect will be very very very minor. Lastly, you need a few thrustworthy friends So yeah, lots of reqs: Have cash, but not enough for a divine for yourself Be trustworthy MH a lot Dont have an ego so big that you don't like sharing ...
  25. Actually, when reading all this stuff about staking, p2pers might actually stake in f2p cause there are already so much restrictions. I mean, it's not like p2p stakers use claws, divine, cls, ...
