Frost dragon bones are 20k in the GE. 180 xp per bone, I sure hope these dragons are hard to kill.

The only places I use my imbued onyx or dragonstone are waterfiends, and TD's (or other situations where I hybrid, like safe pvp). I'm pretty curious whether berserker (i) would be better at fiends.

Well, you could argue it's better to get 99 herblore by making overloads, than sticking at 95 and seeing every overload as a 80k investment (in stead of a "free" end product of a skill). I'd say, get 95 prayer and 99 herblore if you can. If not, both 95. (and no, capes are stupid, don't even mention it)

Onyx ring shouldn't crash though. Ring is 8m, gem is 15m, so I'd say ring has still some way to go.

Your arguments are flawed. All-round may sound nice first, but not when you think about it. Longsword isn't the best in anything but perhaps bandos/sara, and even there it is very questionable. Longsword doesn't beat whip "anywhere". For slayer for instance, it's about the same, and you would be stupid to waste recharge costs on using it, when whip is as good. A rapier has higher ko potential than longsword, because you can only eat once between rapier hits, and twice between longsword hits. That leaves longsword being good for places where you really really need accuracy, and it happens to be that maul is even better than longsword at those place. Conclusion: longsword is near useless if you have both maul and rapier. Okay, that's 400k tokens in stead of 200k, but I personally prefer to get something that's the best in it's category (rapier/maul), than a half baked hybrid weapon. Yes, I will need 200k more tokens for the maul, but IMO that's the perfect motivation to train dungeoneering. You say no weapon is better in ALL the situations. While this is true, the CLS is best in (virtually) NO situation, while both rapier and maul (rapier more than maul IMO) have quite big niches where they excell.

I just wanted to add that a lot of merch clans nowadays seem to have changed strategy. The high ranks are no longer allowed to dump early on. The unranked members who have nothing to lose, are the ones dumping early. The ranked people of course have the ability to stock up before everyone else, but they don't dump early and have to resort to rares and junk trading to get rid of their new crashing junk.

How badly is it crashing? Is it still sellable for max in ge? EDIT: sold instantly max, so yeah;

I hit some sort of wall recently. I maxed combat, and all combat related skills but slayer. I lvled my skills up to a point where it is getting really boring to train them. I have all the money I need, monster hunting is just mainly for fun, I could "buy" lots of 99s, but what's the point if it's boring? I had this small money goal to work towards a green phat (had a purple), but that goal got shattered a week ago, when 2 people managed to scam me out of my purple. That kinda threw me out of this game. I don't really feel like playing anymore, cause all the goals I can imagine are getting boring. Might be temporarily, but secretly I hope it is forever, cause I'm really getting too old to waste time on game like this.

Damn I'm losing a ton of money on these crashing masks. Makes it even more bitter.

Not sure, but I managed to get 2 onyxes from the GE in the last week. I might have been lucky, or people are starting to sell them on the GE. On the scam (sorry for clogging the topic with it): I read the rules and it says item scamming is against the rules. Can I ask my pmod friend to mute them and report them to Jagex? I also got a pic of us doing the partyhat trade.

Lent it to a "friend" for avatar picture? No much more stupid, it was a 2 person scam. One started talking to me how he would sell his red phat to me for a bunch of masks (1.5B worth) cause he was leaving for a month and expected them to rise much more than his phat in the mean time. I happened to have nearly enough, but he needed 5 more. I only had 300m cash and my phat left. I ended up trusting some random (but in the end not so random) guy for the last few masks (my pha and cash for masks, horrible trade) I needed after a LOONG time, cause of course I was very hesistant to do trust trades. But he was very good in it, and showed me a half whine etc telling me he has enough to scam a simple purple out of me (he promised me to sell it back if the red phat guy wouldn't do his trade). The guy with the red had to get members to sell some stuff he had to get cash to make up the trade, and I left to watch some football. Now I'm back, and he's not online, no problem you would say, but then I see a forum thread by him where he is selling a half wine and a yellow phat, and where he says he has some masks too. Now these are exactly the items that the other guy (who I sold my purple to) showed me. Can't be a coincidence. Damn, when I'm reading this myself, I can't believe I fell for it. Greed turned me into an idiot -.- There names are I tennis and Matrix usa, beware. I think they are brothers.

Fire cape and torso are much easier to regain than a chaotic weapon. I completely agree with estoratth: it's like dieieing while ice barraging and having to gain 5m magic xp before being able to use ice barrage again. Not like it should be. I'd say, make it cost like 20m to replace it. Expensive, but reasonable.
