Dont wear Karils. Zarfot says his magic attacks arent magic defence based, or something like that (just like bloodvelds use melee attacks, but use your magic defence, if you get what I mean)

POLL: What is your opinion on the recent Hitpoints/Constitution update?
I agree. The point wasn't the whole 'beginners don't like being hit for 1' thing, that's a side effect, it was to break the bond between your Hitpoints and your Hitpoints skill level, allowing boosters to your max hp instead of your actual hp. I think we'll find that this update will get a lot more support once we start to see these Constitution boosters. Actually the HP update was two separate updates in itself. Neither update needed the other to be implemented. Update 1) Constitution and "HP" are split into two separate things. This can be done just as effectively without making everything 10x, so hitting in the hundreds and separating the skills are not linked at all. Instead of giving 10 hp per 1 constitution level it would have been just 1 HP per constitution level. This was by far the best update they have done in a long time, as it opens doors to ALOT of new content. Imagine a boss-monster that lowers your constitution to 30, so you cant eat above 300 hp. Or weapons that lower your opponents constitution. I can see pures going ga-ga all over this update because they are weapons that essentially prevent you to "safe" (not that I care about safing, I'm just saying). Update 2) Everything is multiplied by 10x. This update was done for the newbies, but as a byproduct the update also makes everything more accurate for everyone. Everyone hits more, and everyone gets hit more due to the decimal system. There are also some great byrpducts of this update too, for example ferocious rings. If you hit a .1 with ferocious ring before this update, you hit a 0. Now if you hit a .1 (1 damage) after this update you deal 4.1 (41 damgage) with the .1 hit. So with things like this you are dealing far more damage than previous to this update. As some stated before +1, +2 and +3 str also have a use now as you don't need +4 just to hit more damage points anymore. I have already started to adjust to the HP splats, so I can say I'm neutral on the subject of update 2. Its really not all that bad once you adapt to what is a high hit and what isn't. Update 1 was really a good thing however. Very well said. I totally agree.

I'm no pro, but, right now, I'd trade green and blue for red, if I could. All I needed to hear, thanks :grin: edit: looks like it probably won't happen. Upgrading green to blue sound good? edit 2: nvm, seems red isn't crashing as much as the others or something. not easy to get. Lol got it for blue + 21M after all The frequency of price updates is based on the number traded in GE, right? So the now daily updates for green masks mean that everyone paniced and dumped them =D> I did not think that there would be so much of a difference between red and green owners, though... same with partyhats. the reason why purp/green/yellow/red updates faster is because there's simply more of them. You really think so? Why would there be more green, yellow or red phats than blue or white? I can't think of any logical reason (leaving out purp for obvious reasons). I've actually been wondering before why blue is the most expensive. I don't think it's the nicest color out of them and I can't see why it is the rarest. I would just think that the "higher" phats get traded less, causing them to update less.

Solo Arma with overloads?
Watch out with these statements. I tried solo bandos with just brews and overloads and massively failed. Why? Because overloads only restore the difference between your lvl and the boosted lvl every 15 sec (which is roughly 25 lvls). If you brew a lot, you will easily go -25, so the overloads wont be able to restore your drained lvls. I was at bandos wondering why I wasnt hitting, looked at my stats, and saw an embarassing 35 str. Even with overloads that takes almost a minute to restore.

I think they will go up before the weekend again, so I'd keep them. Definitely dont keep them after that.

Now that is a GREAT idea. Being able to turn off the multiplier. When we got the new CEO of runescape, we wanted some change and get things fixed. We didn't want them to change the game. . Is it just me or did you just say you wanted change and then the very next sentence you didn't want them to change the game......... And you act like you elected the new CEO because you wanted something. OT: The new HP (I refuse to call it LP) thing opens up new things for them to be able to do to the skill. They can now add something like a new armour or jewelry or potion that boosts your max hp level but doesn't heal you. Instead of your normal hp level (lets go with 90) it could be boosted to 95 allowing you to be able to heal up to above normal. Not to mention the fact that a 5.4 would round down to a 5 but now hits can be more accurate and hit 54s instead of rounding it down. It's better this way and you refuse to believe it because you want everything to always be the same just because it isn't broken. That's like saying I have a lawnmower it's not broken but it's 10 years old and out of date why should I get a new better, faster one. Rofl? This isn't better at all. it's worse. They could add the new armor either way if there was the lifepoints or the hitpoints (blahahahaha what are we playing yugioh now?) The point of this update was obviously to help noobs because they hit 0's too much because they don't have a high enough attack level or are attacking something with high defence. I think this update was probably designed to make runescape "cooler" to people who have never seen it before tbh... -> WOW I CAN HIT LIKE 800 IN THIS GAME ITS SOOO COOL! the biggest beef I have about this update is the fact that places with multiple people taking damage will be a huge laggy mess, even more so than it was before. WHY you would support this, "oh yay i hit 3 more but it doesn't really help because this monster has 20k hp!" Accuracy? L... hitting 5.4 instead of hitting 5 is not that great a difference to be completely honest, plus your actually not gaining or losing any damage since .5+ rounds up. all in all the main rant about this update for most people is the lag and the "larger" hits take up more space. (claws lol....) You sound like a small child.

Seems like materials are starting to crash already. Addy bars have crashed. Papayas have crashed. Ranarrs have crashed. Other herbs stopped selling isntantly at max. I played it safe and sold all my herbs at max or near max today. Dont want to be stuck with 100m worth of herbs. Also made some nice profit on dbones and armour flips (could have made more on dbones though).

Picture please? For the unforunate who cannot log in, I really want to go to the riot too, there is enough nerd rage there to power NYC for a month. Awesome! they just put a decimal after the regular str bonus. And don't complain that it takes 2k points to kill strykworms. If you don't have 2k points by 93 slayer, there really is something wrong, and you can't blame that on connection speed. You could just get a fire cape. I like all these people that say if you don't have that by 93 your doing something wrong. 1. Post your slayer level. 2. Post your slayer points. I'm confident a lot of you are speaking from not even being above 80 slayer. I'm 93 summoning with 4k points and everything unlocked but strykewyrms (got fire cape) and aquanites (hate em)

Exactly what I plan to do, this is going to pay for the summoning cost for March 12th. You are already too late. Bandos, armadyl, godswords, claws, they are all going up again. The raw materials are still rising though. Also, dbones had their well deserved crash.

That's what I did, and I'm very happy with it. Got a lifetime supply of overloads now, had quick herblore training, and actually it only cost me 45-50k each overload.

I think you did something wrong, you're paying 5 times as much as me for one more level. But then again you are starting a level under me so idk. You're making extremes if i recall, i'll be able to sell my brews after to recoup some money. And i haven't really looked at herblore since the update so i didn't have a clue what to buy for the extremes etc. so i just rushed to buy what i know best. So you're probably right that i've overspent lol. Just out of curiosity, how did you work out your xp from your potions? Oh, also just noticed that you're making fletching potions, so you have 2500 wegali (unf) and the street price on them is immense because of their exceptionally low trade price and difficulty to obtain, so that probably has something to do with it. And you only have around 7.5k potions to make which will take a much shorter time and you will have a higher multiplier. Overall the moral of the story is, i should do my herblore research as them untradeable potions etc. look pretty good compared to my expensive slow brews now :P Especially since you get something usefull back. Most people just calc the costs of the ingredients and value the product as 0 gp, to find out how much it costs. But the thing is, as long you dont overproduce and spread it out nicely (say 2k of each extreme) you should use them all, one day, so the only thing you should value is the third ingredient, if that (since you also get an added value because of the added boost).

Long Term Effects of "Exp Weekend"
Joe has 1k crimsons. Xp weekend comes, and he uses them. Now Joe doesnt reach 69 summoning, but 75 summoning. Same amount of cash has left the game. About the alching, think about how there's no dhide bodies made during the 2 weeks before this, so nothing to alch, so less inflation. That's why I dont see any long term effects.

Do high lvl herbs, nowadays they make good money (if not the best), AND give more xp.

Solo DKs
I would recommend gathering obby charms. With an iron/steel titan, turmoil and extreme pots, you can get well over 200 an hour. Lava titans give 730 xp, gesyers 780 (rough estimate) so the difference isn't all that big. You will of course get some normal profit (hopefully) from prime with D axes and such, so it's up to you, but I think killing tzhaar monsters is a safer bet.

Since you obviously haven't been before why are you giving advice on them? I've been there tons of times, and I've never used a mace or whip, so I couldn not tell which is the best. I do think, that at high attack, and on slayer task, a whip is better though. I've seen a lvl 138 with 99 slayer using a whip, and he was hitting fairly well.

Yeah, so what? The money you paid hasn't dissapeared. Nearly any secondary skill (smithing, construction, crafting) lowers your net worth because the produced product is worth less than the raw materials. Nothing new here.

Santas crashed for those who don't know it yet. How low do people think they will drop? Personally I dont think they will go much lower than 50m, especially not when after the xp weekend, people will be buying their rares back. Or is this a wrong analysis?

Whip or GS at Graardor?
Abyssal whip attack is fast, so i doubt you can "time" it for the whip. That's your opinion. And Abyssal whip is not worse than a Godsword. Erm, I thought every serious slayer timed his potting? (and eveyr serious slayer uses a whip). It's really not hard And I wasn't talking about whip as worse weapon, but about the godsword obviously.

Mage and Range
You seem to be helped out more or less. I just wanted to add that nowadays, with EE, bunyips, unicorns and such, tanking is mostly the best option for ranging, since safespotting mostly makes you lose time. I remember for instane that I survived with full void + dfs and a bunyip at abyssal demons, just tanking. I can imagine that armadyl with full slayer helm and zammy book is enough to tank most tasks. If not, use some shield, preferably blessed spirit shield. If even that doesn't cut it, use verac skirt. I'd also eagle eye most of my tasks if I were you. And if you have a task in kuradal's dungeon, do it there, and try to get your hands on fast ammo (knives, darts, msb) cause every hit is +4 there, so the faster you hit, the bigger the advantage. Greaters, hellhounds, gargs, abby demons and blue drags are easily tanked. For dark beasts I would suggest using a safespot though.
