I use it with my sgs to replace food. One pot is 2 sgs specs, which is well over 20 hp healed, so you could say it is worth a shark. This doesnt work when you need to spec more than once a minute though (cause you can only drink a dose every 30s). On my nech task for instance I brought around 10 spec restore pots, my sgs, and overloads + 1 pray pot. The sgs specs kept me healed, gave me nearly enough prayer to use 10% str all the time (I drank like 1 pray pot max in stead of 3). I also used them succesfully for my terrordog task. (same strategy). I might add that a terrordog task is extremely fast. I managed to finish it under 15 min, using my iron titan too. So I dont get why people hate them. Apart from that, look above. Might add that you could use them for instance at abby demons, since you cant use a combat familiar, for a couple extra claw/dds specs. Don't bring too many though cause you need space for drops. Another tactic could be to bring a couple for sgs specs, and survive that way and bring a magpie (in stead of the ususal bunyip) for an extra +-40k gp an hour. The sgs will also save you some prayer, so I'd say in the end you save around 60k gp/h by using those +- 10 spec restore pots.

Yeah, but could you really expect a 2k price to be sustainable? It's like 3m/hour for experienced hunters, so there's no way that'll be the equilibrium price. My best guess is around 1-1.2k each as a settling price - I wouldn't go through the hassle of hunting grenwalls for less than 1m/hour. Have the really crashed now? PS: I got around 40k of them in total for 500-1200 each :P Of course I didn't expect them so stabilize at 2k each. That's why I'm posting, showing that I've fallen for my impatience, and I will pay for it. I also feel a bit stupid not trying to get any spikes in the GE before (I assume that's what you did). It's not like I had a lack of open slots (not flipping anything atm) to keep an offer in. I guess I expected them to crash when I finally got to the point where I need them. I'm pretty happy though with the prices I've bought my lantadymes, dwarfweeds, mage and range pots at (I think they are all like 1k+ more expensive atm), not to mention my unintended awesome merch on super energy pots (I had been buying a ton of them for around 1-1.5k each cause I first wanted to use those to get to 96). After I got 87 herblore, and super energies were 3.5k each, I realised overloads would be cheaper, so I sold 37k super energies for a profit of over 2k each and started buying overload supplies. Buying 10k avantoes at 1.7k each when they had a minor dip was also a pretty good move :-) (used 4k, sold 6k for 3k profit I think). Have they really crashed? I haven't really tried buying them for min, but from what I read in the herblore forum, they are and from my own reasoning they should. They were bought out and artificially high, then got buyable in the GE, so the next logical step is the crash. And mr 33 hunter xp, are you telling me you can get 2.2k spikes an hour?! Is this with catching your own pawya's too? In any case, that's insane.

I'm jealous of your bank. I am really struggling to keep under 400 items, because I like to have a bank which has really everything I need. Maybe I should start sorting it out, and using your bank as the absolute essentials example.

Theres no lamps. You talk to brundt after the quest. This means you can finish the quest and talk to him later whenever you want. I heard someone saying here that they won't add summoning though.

I found it pretty easy, but I must admit I used a guide, so I knew what was going to happen. I used overload at the mother and she was a pushover this way (surge spells, broad bolts, balwung)

Damn, of course grenwall spikes decide to crash (could see it coming though) right after I bought all of them at max price in GE. I know I should have waited but I had been waiting so long already for them to finally crash (I didn't expect them to reach 2k). Impatience costing me 10m or more probably...

Many people do think they look good because they are expensive, that's what I was trying to point out. Okay, nobody can say what it would be if it was zero gp, but I'm pretty sure you would see A LOT LESS phats/masks/santas. (santas would probably pop up during christmass, or the random guy who dresses in full santa, but then, the full santa is again a bit questionable since it is a holiday reward so people partly wear it to show they were playing back then too). So yeah, it is hard to tell, but I think a lot of these items would loose their appeal if they wouldn't be unique but easily acquired by anyone.

Ready to make some overloads: Byebye 150m or something. But hey, I get a lifetime supply of overloads back, and it's cheaper and faster than most other methods (I think I payed 22gp/xp if I value overloads at zero gp)

I can survive on both of them just with a bunyip. For greaters, I think even 10 tuna would do for the whole task. Often I fight them for like 10+ mintues before I summon my bunyip. So no, you don't need the defence. So yeah, like people have said, they overrate strenght + they think it's cool to carry a 30m shield in stead of a "free" rune defender. One last reason is the reason above, they overestimate their foe and bring all the defense they got, allthough this isn't really true, because most dfs people tend to wear bandos, which has worse defense than barrows, so yeah, I guess it's the overrating of strength.

Terror dogs are very fast with an iron titan and scrolls. I did my task of 97 or something in 15 minutes, using extremes. On top of that, I managed to survive just on an sgs and my special restore potions (which I have a crap load of anyway) so yeah, this task is great actually. Warped tortoises arent that bad, I just had a task of em. In 190 of them, I gained around 550k in loot, and it took under one hour. Blue dragons are very good money too (no experience) and you have a packyak so you are totally set. I do agree that its a bit sad to lose scabarites, both for summoning and fast slayer xp, but I'm glad about the warped terrorbirds personally. Tortoises do drop some charms, and as said earlier, they got great drops (shells mainly). I brought a packyak to carry them all. On another note, I am about to get 95 prayer and I would like to ask you what you think of it. You can't flash turmoil and you don't have 10% str. How is the drain rate of leech str compared to 10% str? and ice godess, do dags in chaos tunnels. Great drops, lots of crimsons, and a combat familiar does wonders. Good xp too for melee.

If you die, do you get a grave. I hope so, but was wondering since at some quest places you don't.

I have 6 portals so I mostly just home tele and then choose the right portal, this way I just carry home tele runes with me and don't have to worry. It does take an extra few seconds though. Also, like others have said, the chapel (this one got less useful with monastery tele from ardy cloak though), armor repairing, glory and obelisk.

Rares are expensive because they are rares, not because they look good, cause IMO they don't look good. They DO look good BECAUSE they are rare, but trust me, if they were 1 gp you wouldn't see a lot of people running around in halloween masks or partyhats.

Why? Does the effect also applies on waterfiends? Otherwise its just as bad as a dharok's axe, right? And what about Kuradal's dungeon. Squeezing in a few more creatures, does that mean more of the same, or some extra ones? The KB still shows the same dungeon so I guess they just added some spawns.

I guess you mean hunting grenwalls and using your packyak to carry a ton of pawya meat. I guess that makes a lot of money, but don't forget pawya meat is unbuyable. A better option would be to catch pawya and grenwall at the same time, using a fruitbat for papay's (need to bait pawya's). I heard you can get up to 1K spikes an hour, so that's 1.8m an hour!
