3rd Age/Spirit shields/Phats Discussion
Hmm, AGS, SGS, claws and other big items crashed yesterday, but they seemed to pick up, so I bought one of each. Now it's questionable though. They went from min, to over med, to around med again it seems.

Huh, if soul split cant be stacked with protection item prayers, and turmoil can, then the turmoil thing might be a bug.

This. Error in KB, deflect is a protection prayer like well the current ones (range magic melee) and Turmoil is just a better piety. Ya, its just badly worded. They meant either one of these 3 high lvl ones + one of the protection prayers. +, not or. And if this soulsplit is true, MUST GET 92 PRAYER (actually Ive been thinking before about getting it, but I found it too boring, stupid me).

Mod Roderick confirmed the max boost you can have from turmoil is what you would get from a maxed player (99 att str def), so one hitting jad isnt possible, but +33% str is a big improvement from piety. Now to find out how strong monsters like abby demons are valued.

Yeah, with super antifires, overloads, and new prayers they might become very quick.

That's not a rumour, it says so in the KB  I mean, caps at 10% of your own, so you can't use the full 10 % of Jad's strength. And someone tested, piety + protect melee drains quicker than turmoil + deflect melee (14.8 seconds vs 16.5 or something, for 10 prayer pts in identical gear).

There is an interesting topic on this on RSOF where people are testing things out. Rumor is turmoil caps at 10 extra percent, but that's still 33% str!

According to the KB you can't. As I said, it APPEARS they are fairly useless, it depends entirely on the drain rate along with how much damage reflects back. If reflect + leech prayers don't use too much prayer AND a decent amount of damage is reflected back then it'll probably be worth doing, however I see turmoil as useless in PvM unless you're using it on normal monsters, but I imagine it has a huge drain rate. I've heard from different sources now that you can.

and apperantly someone tested deflect and it drains a bit slower than the normal protection prayers.

Just read you CAN use turmoil and deflect at the same time. Deflect seems a bit useless in pvm though, since they fully protect you against that style, so no damage will be deflected, right?

Aha, finally someone fully reads the thing. Saw other people drooling on combined saps+ leeches + deflects + turmoil or whatever, not gonna happen... Anyway, is this altar easily reachable? Seems annoying that you have to drink ppots all the time when you are on that spell (going on a normal altar like at your house would reset you to normal prayers). I've fully read the whole thing, and nowhere does it state whether the sap or leech prayers work in PvM, the only comment is that the deflect prayers work in the same way as normal protect and are therefore 100% effective in PvM but only 60% effective in PvP. I assume that DarkDude has actually gone and tested whether the new prayers have any effect in PvM... No surprise that they don't though. I was talking about the fact that you can't use turmoil together with deflect prayers. Kind of like smiting can't be used with protect prayers.

Skiing/Boarding
I'd do it too, if I had a car. But even then, It's not like I could say, hmm nothing to do this afternoon, let's go skiing. Even for the weekend, 14 hours of driving is a bit much. So for now, this is just 1 or 2 weeks a year. (and 7 hours is the bare minimum btw, when we go with the family it takes like 9-10 hours in total or something)

Skiing/Boarding
Believe in the spin, really. You have got to have the move in your head, see yourself doing it. Give it everything you got. Try to focus on the landing as fast as possible (which means, watch the direction you are going to spin). I think the head is the most important thing. The body goes where the head is going. If I fail my 360s, it is because I didn't try and spot the landing asap. I must say I'm still very nooby with 360s though and have lots of rooms for improvements. Also, try to lean forward when you launch yourself into the spin. Since the jump is facing up and the landing facing down, you will have to do a little bit of vertical rotation too. Not leaning forward was a very major reason for me failing them once I got the spin. I always ended up landing leaning too much backwards, and crashing + hurting my calfs like hell sometimes. and 45 minutes! That's nothing, consider yourself lucky. I have to drive 7 hours, but then I am in the Alps which are the best. I honestly can't really think of how you can live in a decent place (not a ski village that's dead in the summer) closer than 45 min away from the mountain. huh I thought I added some pics, but they got erased by pressing back or something... (and this topic also didnt get bumped up, wtf is happening)

Pullups
Woah, strong people here. A while ago, we had to do 3 times maximum chin up after our workout and I know I could only do 5 at the start, and ended up with 9. I think I can only do like 6 now, I'm pretty damn weak at the upper body (arms/shoulders)

The Running Thread
Wow, consider yourself lucky you can just go skiing in the afternoon. I have to drive 7h to the A;ps for it (live in Belgium).

Best Way to Get Fit
If he is doing 4 badminton practices a week and track and field practice on top of that, he doesn't need to do 1h or running every day... Anyway, most of the things you listed seem to be pretty right, or at least, that's what I read about it too.

- Drop Rates
It's funny how people are comparing monster drops with different drop rates. "This guy killed a TD and got dragon claws first kill, while I kill 1.5k steel dragons, and didn't get a visage". You realise that the drop rate of steel dragons is somewhere in the 1.5k-5k range? So it's really not all that unlucky.- Armadyl Guide
Wow this guide turned into a masterpiece. I'm amazed you can last this long duo. Should try it once I get my herblore up.- 75+ Crimson charms in 30 minutes - Chaos dungeon waterfiends
Yeah Ive been thinking about that. I just sold my regular antifires though, and they are rising again, so I'll wait with that. I really cba to collect a ton of phoenix feathers like you did, so I will make only as much as I need I think (like 500 should for a looong time). But yeah, if you have more than you will ever use, one sip doesn't matter at all. And I think extreme prayer potions are always worth it, with wyvern bones at 4k. I mean, 15gp/xp is one of the cheaper options these days, and then I'm not even counting the money you save because you get more points per pray pot. This is of course providing you will use your prayer pots. Just a bit annoying to grind the bones, but I will only do 1k which should last me a loong time anyway. About the pools: The 50 hp you get after 5 min from the overload you take at the bank will help A LOT for the agressive phase. EDIT: I'm a fool, they won't since you will loose it instantly again after you drink your next dose of overdose. (ps, making wyvern bonemeal is soo slow!)- Chinning at Ape Atoll
Check my signature with my guide. Prices are outdated, but the xp isnt.- 99 Range
Check my guide in siggy. Around 200 xp per grey chin.- 75+ Crimson charms in 30 minutes - Chaos dungeon waterfiends
Okay, that clears some things up, thanks. Wrench more counts as 3 doses of pray pot though (96 prayer points if you use 12 pots) so it's debateable to take it. I dont really think going to ooglog is worth the effort though, it takes at least 2 minutes in total I'd say. Just house tele after a trip, recharge pray and glory to edge, eat up and go again (I mostly only go one trip though) seems more desireable. Do you count this time into your charm rate btw? 135 an hour seems to be what I'm getting to and we have about the same stats. Anyway, I just thought that I will be making some super prayer pots too, so I will be able to stay even longer :-). 4 overloads, 12 super pray pots and some brews, aah, that should be fun. Now just to get these herblore levels first, damn exams. - Drop Rates
