I have to admit, at first, I was pretty disappointed with the update. Now, I'm thinking otherwise. It was getting so you could just buy skills such as prayer/herblore etc. Now it'll be a bit more difficult. I think it's great that the money is returning to where it should be spent...on raw items as opposed to raising the price of rares to ridiculous levels. As for those who complain that they won't be able to make money lightning fast, well, perhaps this isn't the game for you anyway. Long live the skills! As a 90 slayer, money doesn't come fast, but if you're willing to put in the work, it'll come.

Very excited about the whole thing. Big update with the grand exchange, and now that they're dropping hints about "the next big thing", I'm super excited!

I consider myself a player of integrity, and I think you did nothing wrong. In the same situation, I'd do the exact same thing you did. They died legitimately, and you picked it up legitimately.

I think that person would be an exception as well. As an 85 slayer, I notice a lot of my fellow players up here in the slayer tower picking up the 132 coins the abbys drop. But yet they'll leave the single adamantite bars they also drop. However, not much gets left, even with higher level slayers.

I think it's a great update. People can criticize all they want, but really, they'll never be happy no matter what. So good job Jagex! This is a fun update! And to the one who said that they were disappointed by the lack of stats of the two outfits, give me a break. What did you expect, a suit better than rune or something? This is one of those weeks where everyone knows its going to be a fun update.

Good game, and like the world, full of nice people, mean people, immature people, cheaters and people who complain way too much. I like the game, otherwise I wouldn't be playing. When I am not satisfied with the game, then I'll stop playing. I won't complain, just be done...and that's advice a lot of people could use. :D

Just got a whip drop from abbys as I was reading this. I know, f2p, but still... Best thing I had found was a glory ammy and dragon dagger at the end of one of the quests. I was stuck in the room with the vampire and had no way out, and then saw that he also dropped a ring of dueling! Was pretty happy back then. I also had a guy die in shadow warriors beside me. I wasn't paying much attention, and he dropped dharok helm, dragon baxe, and glory. By the time I got over there, I got a free dragon baxe, which I still carry with me on occasion :D.

I still wish I had heard about this game waaaay back then... :D

Count me in as one of the one's not thinking of suicide due to the "it's not a big deal" syndrome. Although these are great forums, it doesn't change my life too much if Runescape pales in comparison.

I would agree with the person who posted that whip campers will no longer be content to camp out in the tower. As a not-so-recent 85 slayer achiever, I'm not exactly happy that the price has dropped. However, I have noticed a few less people up in the tower killing abbys. It was worth it even at 2.5M, but with the drop, I spend less and less time up there...

suuuuuure........ :roll: Just what I was thinking... If you had happened to find 1Billion Pure Ess then you would prolly make upwards of 50-75 Billion GP (maybe even up to like 99Billion, don't know how much it sells for) Also what I was thinking. :roll:

Rune boots. Guy accidentally sold them and I picked them up for 5k. That was when they were just over 200k.

Fantastic article. I always enjoy the contributions. In fact, it's a weekly part of my reading schedule. Thanks again! Although I do like challenging quests, I would have to agree that Mournings End II was especially trying on my patience. Part of that, though, was not so much the annoying factor as much as it was my desire to get it finished quickly. In thinking of this article, I would disagree and say that I enjoy mixing the challenge levels together and at the same time, give some pride to being able to finish some of the more difficult quests. Instead of it just being dependent on a certain level acquired, there should (and is somewhat) be some dependence on the skill of the player. That's why I appreciate quests like Mournings End II (although please don't make me do it again). Anyhow, a very enjoyable article as always, keep them coming and thank you for putting your thoughts out there. By the way, this is just a side, but I was wondering if you would need more guest writers. I would certainly enjoy doing something like that, and am enrolled in a degree in professional writing. And again, thanks guys for your hard work weekly on this site!

I wasn't to impressed when I got 41 giant bats. On the other hand, I managed to keep the mining sites clear for the miners....

Hi all. I've been reading for quite some time, and don't post often, but this one is something I felt strongly about. To be totally fair to Durial, I think you should be happy to get away with a permanent ban. Hours and hours of other people's time have been thrown away for his little episode of "fun". In a word, this is a total embarrassment, no matter if you are 5 years old or 70. You put yourself first well before everyone else, just so you could "create history." Well, the only history created was just a distasteful blip on the radar of Runescape. It's not something anyone should aspire to. In fact, if anything, it's a real wonder why jagex doesn't have a more stiff penalty in place for "bug abusers", because they lose jagex valuable committed customers. Durial, I welcome the day when I forget this distasteful episode and your name, because this is absolutely shameful. That should take about 5 or 10 minutes. So much for "creating gaming history". Btw, Leesters and gang - thanks for a classy website, and for your continued efforts to uphold good gaming ethic. This is from one [smithers09] who appreciates this very much.
