Tip.It Times Presents: Nowhere to Build but Up...
2 solutions: first: bring ranged and especially magic up to equal damage lvl. second: change the effect of the defense skill to reduce damage. For instance, 99 defense automatically reduces damage received by 50%. Armour stays the same, giving you a change to avoid damage all together.

Can't use keyboard
Perhaps some problems with another firefox add-on? I always play in firefox 3, both on xp and vista and I never had this problem.

udpate frequency
I like this more. IN the past, too often i got excited about a small update, only to find out it was really disappointing. I hope that the better quality will keep me more than satisfied.

A Prisoner's Dilemma: We Need a Metagame
I think you make an assumption that only applies to a part of the runescape community, namely: players only pk for profit. What if I don't care about losing cash while pvp combat? Why should I care that you lose money? If I'm only in it for a challenge or even just to annoy others, I should be able to do so. That being said, I do agree that the current system isn't that exciting. I wouldn't have any problems with generally not being able to eat during a fight or teleporting. You wrote a good post and I think I understand why. I think you want a more exciting pvp combat system. I just don't think that enforcing "social" pk rules is the way to go and I prefer a more thorough solution. my 2 cents.

how do you train crafting
Training crafting generally costs you cash. Leatherwork is the fastest method at your level. So make either hard leather bodies or coifs.

Rate my back to f2p-outfit
Don't you want to do anything in f2p? You could consider to leave your weapon slot empty.

"Refining/secondary" skills not rewarding enough?
The big problem is that nobody needs that many products those skills produce. The only exception is runecrafting. People still need large amount of runes and most of the runes are crafted by players. Then it works. Fletching should be based on making arrows and bolts, not bows and the skill would be much better. All melee equipment should degrade so that smiths are always needed. oh well, I think that Jagex can think of solutions themselves. I agree that the 2nd product skills should be upgraded to make them become profitabel again. Not all skills have to be profitable, but then they should provide you with some heavy ingame advantages (example: construction).

How long will the Beta last?
agreed. Untill then they have the time to fix some bugs and allow most members to download the new content. After the E3 release the can open the new graphics up to f2p.

Pet Room - Your oppion on it ( maybe move to H&A)
Sure, put it in. I don't like pets myself, but I know many do so it would make for a worthy addition. Besides, I don't think you can have to few rooms in a house! :P

how to get ??? 3rd Age Ranged Armour
u mean untrade ??? i buying blurite crossbow from member .... amulet of power also 1 type of member item ..... who say cant trade ?????? many items, like the ones you want, are members only. There is no way of getting the item without being a member. You have 2 choices: either get members or accept you won't get them.

Need money for 99 magic (92atm). 500k+/hour at least :S
unless you mined those pure essense or got them as a drop it didnt cost you a thing You are correct. I've never bought ess. I've "always" mined it (along with a few drops here and there :P). With the ess pouches and pack familiars, it's even faster now. I'm patient enough to mine my own ess. I'll not get into the opportunity cost thing here. ;) I can imagine the alchemist playground and enchantment room to be faster exp than alching, but the telekinetic theater has to slow things down considerably?

Blue D-Leather. Does it sell? :s

Summoning looked down upon?
I didn't know people looked down on summoning. I can see no reason why, it is certainly not an easy skill to get a good lvl in. I do know that many are still disappointed by the skill, including me. Sure, summoning is probably very usefull for many tasks ingame, but I really wanted the familiars to help me in combat. That is something they rarely do since they only fight in multi combat zones, which are nearly non existing in the game. Secondly, I prefer to range as many monsters as possible and then the multi combat zones really are useless, as they are mostly designed for melee. I know a bunyip can help me recover health, but what is the point when using safespots? I'll get back on topic now, there is no such thing as a false combat lvl. Some players want their combat lvl as high as possible, others want the exact opposite. Summoning might not be your cup of tea, but there is no reason to disrespect it.

Should double wielding be allowed?
Or give double wielding negative defence. Makes sence to me. (otherwise shields would be a bit too strong perhaps, dfs def bonus is already huge). So double wielding is like 0.75 attack power (but x2) and -40 def or so? with barrows around, 40 def is nothing. double wielding should not be better than a weapon and a shield or defender, but an interesting alternative for some situations. let's say: max hit stays the same. double attacks (so in effect double attack speed) and a 50% def reduction. Also, to make sure it will not be a pure only thing, you need equal def lvl as the required attack lvl. So 60 att and def required to wield dual dragon scimitars.
-
Should double wielding be allowed?
possibly. IMO, double wielding is here already in the shape of the defender. First, shields should become much more important for def. That way, you really need think about the worth of wielding an additional weapon vs the hefty loss of defense. Than it could be a nice addition to the game.

11 June 2008 - Rocking Out
Anyone tried to steal from the new evidence cabinets? I seem to get a rune scimitar every 100 cabinets or so. About the same for the lvl 2 clues. I had 4 clues and three of them gave me the rewards on the first scroll. What are your experiences with the new cabinets?

~ The Incredibly Low Prices of Seeds... Why? ~
So you're going to stand around and wait at the farming patch? You don't spend 75 minutes watching grass grow, you go out and spend that time doing something else. Only the 8 minutes is actually spent farming. Thus, 120k/8 minutes, which averages to 900k/hr. Then that depends on what you do in your spare 52 minutes. The way you wrote your posts it gave the impression of 900k per hour with farming, which just isn't possible. There is no point in arguing to much about this. Both of you have a point. In absolute time, farming does not generate 900k/hr, but it does in relative terms. Farming is a good money maker for the small amount of time you need to invest in it. However, you can not to it continuously and will need another method if you want to non-stop generate cash.

16 June 2008 - Development Diary and System Specifications
I was just looking at the ranger in the full screen picture and those ranger boots are ugly, while the robin looks pretty good (just as the splitbark looks amazing imo). This raises a question: What items do you think will fall in price and which ones will rise simply because of the new looks?
